Preparing Solutions - Part 3: Dilutions from stock solutions
Просмотров 140 тыс.9 лет назад
This tutorial describes how dilutions are made from stock solutions, and how to calculate the volume of stock solution required for a given final concentration. The rules here apply equally whether concentrations are being expressed as molarity, %, mg/ml or other.

Thank you. Please how do you know where to start the reverse primer?
why to introduce a mutation??? why did you added a mutation ?
Another useful way you can view question 3 is by simply multiplying the molecular weight by two(136.09 x 2 = 272.18) so that you can see how much grams would be in a 2L solution to that is 1M, and then divide the given numbe(83.7) by your new 1M gram total(the 272.18) to get the same answer but in less steps and thinking.
Please explain the calculations for enzymatic digestion of dna
Thank you very much. Beautiful, clear tutorial. Answered all my questions at once!
Thank you isn't enough for the efforts that teachers like you put in order to educate us. ❤
The best explanation i've ever had
Amazing, this was so helpful
Thank you very much!
Have seen over a dozen videos on this topic, nobody has put it as simple as you have.
Amazing explanation and it increased my confidence. Thank you!
Your way of teaching is very good but you have to enhance your video-making techniques. Most of the things are skipped when you change your camera direction, moreover, your hand also covers the whole content on the paper, this is creating difficulty in understanding the lecture.
Great video!
Hi ma'am, very helpful thank you. Does this kind of dilution (ie. starting from a stock) count as serial dilution? Or is serial dilution only when you keep decreasing the concentration by a set factor. Thanks in advance.
I'm so happy that I finally understood stuffs that I've been banging my head for...
Absolutely excellent explanation. So clear and concise. Thank you!
Great trick
Amazing
I usually forget these calculations again and again but I thank her because every time I knew where I need to learn it again when I do forget.
I am always afraid when it comes to calculations in biology 🥲
I can now only complete molarity calculations in a Scottish accent
I am so glad to study in Glasgow Uni and waiting to meet you in person, I would like to know what is written in the board in the back side about Phd, this is what I am planning to do next step, Thanks a lot for your lovely explanation
Plz make more videos mam.don't stop
Can you please make more videos? I could listen to your voice all day
❤️
I really need to thank you for this tutorial, a total of about 6 years in school and counting. I lost confidence in myself until I came across your video today. Thank you so much.
Because in last step it was 1/3.25 then you can get the answer 0.31.
All super clear, except the last step of last question, please if anyone got the same answer as mam explained, please let m know, Thanks in advance.
Nice explains
Your videoi is made so simple,Thank u so much ma'am,Can you please help me with serial dilutions and back calculation
Well explained with examples. Thank you 🙏
The equation made my life much easier. Thank you
Excellent explanation
Thank you so much! The concept is clear for me now.
Thank you so much for your help!
Thank you so much!
I understand but complex abit
Thank you very much!!! incredibly useful
Thank you for this video. It really help me to understand primer design.
All are very helpful thank you😍
I'm disappointed she went through the whole video without saying "a wee bit of DNA"
