Right now depending on your budget you may be able to afford a mortgage. There are some great programs out there. Have you talked to a lender and tried?

We are thinking on selling our house in Richland (current value is 360,000) because the laws in Washington State are changing so fast that it has made us want to make a clean cut. Oh that is a good question! Auto insurance is definitely cheaper, mine went down significantly when I moved to Idaho. I was only paying like $86/month for 1 vehicle AND my renters insurance combined with USAA. Home insurance, depends on what you do, I have seen around $120/month

@@blainechandler1551 no they don’t get above 100 often but they are normally warmer. Even today. It’s 15 degrees in Idaho falls and in Pocatello it’s 21. So there can be a 5-10 degree difference most of the time. Sometimes a few degrees can make all the difference

@@BOOGiNS the least amount of homeless in this area than any other area I have lived. None in Rigby or Shelley. The ones that are here are in Idaho falls. I see about the same 5 people on a couple of corners. The soup kitchen is full every day at lunch time like 30-50 people but that isn’t homeless. Thats anyone, low income, or even construction workers come for lunch

@@MTNLVR21 I think it depends on the year. This year wasn’t very windy in Idaho falls. If you’re out in the country yes it’s windier but in town , honestly it’s not been bad to me. A couple windy days here and there but can’t remember the last windy day we had

What’s the average price per square foot in the boise area? I am not as familiar, just what I see on Zillow over there. We are about $150 a square foot on average

Yes finding a local broker for a VA loan has still been the best bet. I have seen lower rates and lower fees for VA all around but especially with a broker. And yes I would like to do some multi family videos!

@LifeinIdahoFallsID Let me also add that the foster care program is bursting at its seams. In many states, kids are housed in decrepit hotels with no supervision. It's sad already. Tens of thousands age out in the system every year and end up living on the streets with no hope. Look up Cabrini Green, Pruitt igoe, and the Destiny project as examples of life before Roe/Wade.

@@angelanelson4994 hi! It’s so hard to know, I think things are going to gradually improve. So home prices going up 4-5% each year and rates settling around 5.5% is what I think. But it would be tough to know. I wish I could know before it happens. I do think this next administration are going to work fast to better the economy… so we’ll see! How soon are you hoping to move out here?
