I am going to discuss and show you why you should really reconsider lowering your recommended tire pressures on you Dirt Bike, Dual Sport and or Adventure motorcycle.

Wanted to see how this bike was for a long ride while staying relatively close to home and at the same time burn off my stock tires for some more aggressive tires. I tested 2 suggested methods from another video to see which method works the best on a dead cold small diesel engine at 12f degrees. This test was done on 2 different days with almost identical overnight temps with morning low of 12f. Torch vs Boiling Water. Use open flame around this engine at your own risk.

Man! I'm sure glad I'm not depending on a Chinese diesel engine to stay warm this winter! I own two of these little motors (purchased when they were "6 h.p." engines...lol... Guess I'll just leave the ether at the auto-parts store.... Thanks, I learned from your discussion! btw a gasoline-soaked rag over the intake works just as good and can be removed instantly....I know that's "country" but hey!! (or is that "hay" ? ....) You got the up-thumb again, thanks.

wonder how a heat gun would do, with plastic intakes, if you came up with a mount to hold it to the intake while you crank
How is it holding up?
I have seen videos of some farmers in northern Russia (very cold) get diesel tractors going by positioning a wadded up rag soaked with diesel above the intake. They lit the rag on fire and cranked the engine. Sucks the flame and heat down in there and it starts right up.
I really like those Chinese diesel - after hurricanes, tropical storms or ice or snow storms my power is often knocked out - I have one of those on a car alternator that maintains some battery's that a inverter is connected to to run every thing in the house - Running it at 1800 RPMs around the clock for days it's perfect - I have the regular inverter gas gens also - But that diesel burns far less fuel - just shut it down every other day to check the oil - I can let it run off a barrel of fuel for a long long time -
When its cold like that there is no need for a air filter - i had worked in oul fields were it was very cold - We never used air filters in equipment like snow blowers , or generators during winter - You can just make a down draft breather out of a 90 degree elbow brazed to a plate of steel - you might add a large hole screen - A diesel will not start when its below 32°F - if ots cranked as with a electric starter - compressing the air will warm it up and it will eventualy start - Heating the head with a torch or the air intake is the best way - We used heat guns run off generators or inverters also in cold regions to preheat intake air for cold starts -
Be nice to have a heated shed to put your splitter in when it's cold so it'll start in the morning
Get a cheap cordless heat gun at harbor freight. No need to take it apart. Just be smart about it cause you can burn filter. Heat below filter in pipe section. Faster and easier. Your welcome. Mine starts -20 put a splash of howes anti gel with each fill also.
In my opinion, it's ridiculous to keep standard tire pressures on, off road or fire roads.. The bike moves around too much.. especially for the weekend warrior 💪

I bought one of those engines too. I never checked one bolt been running it for about six months now haven’t had a problem with it.
Great video, but should be called "Don't lower your bike pressure less than 15psi." I myself like running my pressure at around 22. For the dirt. On the road, it is at 33. So, yes, one still has to lower air pressure for the dirt.
I found your Channel in regards to the China diesel engine you put on a log splitter. I got the same China motor and I am looking to put it on a huskee 20t splitter from tractor supply. I also have a 21 Honda rally. I run the Dunlop d606 rear and mt21 pirelli front, great mostly off road riding tire combo for the California desert and mountains where I live 😊

You should have called this video "Buy new tires instead of lowering pressure" cause the stock IRC tires need to be lowered to 17psi for offroad in NJ Pine Barrens and most of the east coast (not just Florida) cause like you mentioned sand. Now granted my skills have waned a bit but 22psi on my 2023 Rally is for highway use only, less I want to show off how bad I've gotten. I was gonna ask about the mt21/d606 combo but it sounds like your terrain couldn't be more different than mine. I might as well live in Florida terrain wise it's identical.
I bought 2 tanks a few years ago and one of my tanks leaks pretty substantially now. Can you still say you haven't had any leaks?
You probably need new seals? Are you keeping the chemicals in the tank? IT will eat away at seals long term

I own a small Chinese diesel generator. I put it in a small shed made of concrete blocks for silencing. Starting the thing is not a problem at all even after a very long time . I put some lube oil on the cylinder and start it using the decompression device. It never let me down, but it smokes in the very beginning, later it's running smoke-free and smooth. Hurray for small chinese diesels and generators. Some people believe chinese products are crap... They are not!! You pay what you get
Does this booklet also contain the valve lash clearance? I really need it for the service on my engine, I can't find any information or tips about it anywhere on the internet. Thank you in advance.

Im really surprised by the quality of the parts. Considering this engine only costs 200 bucks... This is pretty good, I have to say. Ive got one of these engines myself, using it in a low rpm generator setup, considering that I only run it at lower RPMs (below 2000), I think it will last just as long as any other engine would!

I just got one of these about 2 weeks ago from Amazon. I went thru the first time start up and it went well. It started 3 times in a 2 hour time frame. A week later I tried to start it and it would not start. In fact diesel fuel started to spit out thru the air filter. What would cause this? I messaged the seller and he suggested I clear out the air filter and fuel line with carb cleaner to dry it out and start it again. Same thing happened, fuel spitting out thru the air intake. Second message from the seller was to take it for repair. They would pay up to $30. Any ideas? It's still under the 30 day return policy

I agree that the starting fluid was the final straw but the discoloration suggests a casting flaw . If it was a one time start on starting fluid I don't believe you'd get discoloration , that's usually from previous run time . If it was fresh carbon the starting fluid would wash it out and be shiny . Ive cast Aluminum before and it can be hard to find flaws until machining and when you have a machine pumping them out by the thousands they only inspect maybe one in a hundred .
I put one on a generator, mine started right up without any hesitation at all in -10°C! I was seriously impressed! I didn't do any preheating or anything at all, just a normal start!
