Brent & Gina's Traveling Adventures
США
Добавлен 20 ноя 2016
Brent and Gina are from Central Arkansas and we love to travel. He likes to take video and they both love seeing what's over the next hill, what's in that new town, the history of our great country, and meeting new people! Join our traveling adventures and share yours with us.
Wrightsville Beach Oceanic Restaurant (Wilmington, NC)
We stopped in Wilmington, NC to see several things in consideration for a possible new home location. We decided against moving there, but there was a bunch to do. The ocean is about 5 miles away from our RV park as is most sites in the Wilmington area. This particular video shows our favorite restaurant in the area.

First Ride on my Vitilan U7 eBike (Learning)
I bought one of these bikes and had nothing but trouble, warranty was useless too. They make excuses and never fix anything.
I bought 1 of these bikes and had nothing but trouble, warranty was useless!
Great video! I have noticed for a long time that my x-chocks will not swap out after being loosened. I have the same system and will make the change. It’s about a half inch as well out.
What site did you stay on? Did you like it? We are looking at site 36 on the west side.
Site #33.
I just finished my f250 super duty an hour ago. I spent less than 200.
Thats terrible RANGE! A 20ah battery should easily go 30-40 miles battery only! I have a u7 with 20ah battery and it only goes 20 miles till its dead.........never again buying from Vitilan! My Polarna 750 bike gets 35-45 niles easily with a 16ah battery. I think Vitilan is over rating their batteries! Terrible company to deal with warraty stuff too.
my new Dometic WH-6GEA 94002 has an orange wire and the old Atwood one does not?
I'm pretty sure I discuss and show that in the video. I remember having concern over it. Check out the video completely and if you can't find it, hit me back.
Look at about 6:40 for the wire colors. In my case, the yellow on the old Atwood wasn't needed. You should have 4 other wires that match the new Dometic.
@@brentginastravelingadventures I have the white green and blue no orange or yellow from the old atwood, I only have 3 wires and am wondering what to do with the orange wire on the dometic?
the best I can see is the orange wire fires the gas element and the white fires the electric element: Page 21 epi.dometic.com/externalassets/dometic-water-heater-6-gallon-gas-electric_9600024379_81175.pdf
on page 10 it shows the white ang orange tied together on the single switch: epi.dometic.com/externalassets/dometic-water-heater-6-gallon-gas-electric_9600024379_81175.pdf
I am thinking that now you have 4 wheels & it is no longer legally a bicycle.
They have e-bike trikes. All of the states I've researched are related to speed and where permissible to ride with e-bikes. If you find policy, in some state that regulates based off of number of wheels, please share.
Hey, we live 4.5 miles from the Oceanic and we're there for dinner last week. I like to ride a kayak in the waves (Malibu2) How do you think your Sea Eagle 42 would do paddling straight into ocean waves and then them riding back to shore?
I think it would do great. It's durable.
Wre you able to use the atwood door or did you use a dometic door
The two heaters are different brands. The exhaust and hold-close twist won't align. You have to buy a conversion kit. Click this link and it'll take you to the point in the video: ruclips.net/video/RPxXB-yDbqM/видео.htmlsi=pT-ZvYUs1vvu5TVq&t=1074
Good information thank you for sharing your experience from a diy perspective. You got it done without all the fancy, high dollar shop tools. I’ll be doing my cab bushings in the near future to save $1500 out of my pocket
You dodged a bullet with camping world. They would’ve screwed everything up
wondering if this would be stable enough to hold the bicycle upright when i step on the left pedal and throw my right leg over..? I'm having trouble with my hip flexors.. they are too tight.. and half the time, i go to put my leg over and catch my right foot on the seat. That is dangerous.. what are your thoughts. If the bike can't tip, i won't have problems getting on or off..
Don't buy these with your issue. They help, but not nearly enough. In fact, my wife needs somewhat level pavement even with these. She doesn't have balance. My wife and I have step-though bikes as you can likely see. There's no way she could lift her leg over the seat. Heck, it would be difficult for me stepping on the pedal. Instead, my wife uses the step through and does not touch the pedals before straddling the bike. Then, when her center of gravity is aligned with the bike, she can almost get onto the seat on her tippy-toes. My days of tossing my leg over is almost over myself. Best to you and surely find a way! Stay young if only in the mind.
Great video! Can you bike easily from the campground to the beach?
Yes, very easily.
What kind of screws did you use on the 2 side flanges (4 screws on each side) that have nothing behind but the lip of the water heater?
This mod is a adaption to the old hole in the RV. My guess is your speaking about the two panels that fill the hole on the right and left. The replacement water heater has a smaller hole normally. There's no older water heater to swap so this is the fix I found. Does that answer your question?
I am referring to the panels n each side. Is there any reason I couldn’t use pop rivets on the 4 holes on each side? I’d use the normal screws on the rest of the WH where they screw into the side of the RV. Hope that makes sense.
@@ballen4363Yeah, I thought so. I don't see why not. I'm not an expert, but an average Joe. Best to you.
Thanks. I’m a plain old Joe too.
Do you have any idea if these would help stabaize the bike in the snow. Michigan winters suck on a bike.
I doubt it. I'd go with a trike instead.
@@brentginastravelingadventures thanks for the tip bro. Was wondering if I could save a couple grand with a stabilizer
I want to thank you for your video. After seeing it I did find others but after watching your video I felt so much better about the purchase I had just made of an LECTRIC bike. I lovev it but I'm in my 70's and my balance is not as good as I thought so I realized I had to have something to balance the bike since they would not take it back because it had more than 1 mile on it??? Anyway, I so excited to get my training wheels, they come on Saturday and then I can finally RIDE! thank you!
Thanks for the kind words. I hope they work wonders for you so you can have great rides.
Hey,What brand and where did you find this product. This is what I need. Thanks
It's nice to have a real time video, thanks!
Most beautiful town I've ever visited! We stayed at Crooked Creek Guest House and LOVED it there. Best customer service and yummy food at their restaurant. Cant wait to visit Wyoming, and of course Yellowstone, again!♥️
Nice preview of what I have ahead of me. THANK YOU.
Great walk through! Do you have part number for extension brackets so new one fits.
Thanks for your humble effort, Brent. Rear passenger tire on my 2014 GD Reflection 33-30 had outside of tire completely bald. With Correct Track was able to pull it forward with 2 turns of the cam washer, equaling 1/2”. It now matches the opposite side for distance center to center. Road trip in two weeks and I’ll hopefully update this post with positive news. Cheers 😊
I'd like to hear how it works for you. Mine have been perfect ever since.
😂 “tighten it a little bit more than a little”… would that be two or three “ugga-dugs?”Seriously, very helpful video. Thanks for posting👍🏻
Exactly...lol.
Thank you nice video, we have reservations in a few months. I just wish you would of announced now and then what sites you were passing, not all of them just now and then. I think we are #136
I have these and they are brilliant as I have no balance.
Nice! Enjoy your bike.
Great video just what I was looking for! Fixed my screw ups with your video thanks!
I'm so glad. Best to you on your voyages!
Any chance you can share the link for that shower to hide adapter?
I'm not sure what adapter you're speaking of. Can you share the time in the video so I can take a look? I'll give a better answer after.
So I had the same water heater as you did. Mine cracked but the plug was out. the water that drained back in the bottom/ or condinsate was enough water to crack the very bottom. So what I do now is blow my Lines down with an Air compressor to try to remove as much water as possible.
Hi don't know if you get snow in your area but would these be good for snow and ice? Looking for something where I won't tip and fall so easily
I wouldn't try any kind of add on wheels unless you're riding on fairly level ground and it's a temporary type situation. My wife hasn't fallen with these, but I see she doesn't feel very secure with them. I drove on her bike to see for myself, again, and I'm now convinced we need to get her a trike. These were supposed to be temporary until she felt comfortable enough to take 'em off. Now, at 66, I can tell those days are over. She needs a trike. Course, I tell her that I'd feel more comfortable with her on a trike instead of telling her she can't continue to use this bike at her age. :O) So, the answer is no.
@@C3Voyage thanks! Yeah I am looking for 3 wheel or 4 wheel it isn't because i don't know how to balance it's because looking for something where I won't tip and fall off the side you know especially when making any turn when the roads are compacted snow or even icy I'd rather slide around with a trike or something rather falling off on a 2 wheeler bike
Curious? Did you guys try BBQ Bills? Its right where the road from Manatee Springs comes out. I grew up partly around there (Cedar Key to Williston to Chiefland area) Haven’t been down in a couple years but BBQ Bills used to be a traditional stop for us when I bring family down. Hoping it hasnt gone downhill…used to be good food?
I remember seeing it, and it was on our list to potentially try. BBQ choices are less desired due to my acid reflux issues afterwards. Still, we try it from time to time, but not this go.
Right on. I know exactly what you mean…I nurse the Prilosec myself haha😂
@@ramoorevisualdesigns7019 Protonix for a couple years, before that Prilosec, and before that the other one I can't remember.
Cool video! How did it work out?
What brand are the stabilizers? I have been looking for some. Thanks
No problem. Check the description for your answer.
Hi, I normally live full time, just my dog and I, in a Coachman Bunkhouse RV. Right now with my son taking care of his son’s wife. I hope to be back in it in the next couple of months. Now I am in Little Rock and should be moving to JB’s RV park out side of Benton. I thought you said you lived in central Arkansas? Anyway, I have seen someone have this set up before and I have been looking for a way to do this myself. I don’t know if this will be monetarily feasible for me but glad to have seen your set-up.
The dishwash I used in the video went bad. It was a cheaper product and I think the bouncing around didn't help. That was a few years ago so it lasted a good bit for us. Our plan was to purchase a washer/dryer combo to alleviate the switching to the dryer. Thoughts were to turn on at night and next morning they'd be dry. Well, we started saving and then Covid curbed the usual traveling. Today, we're on the fence on whether we're going to keep the current 5th wheel long enough to make a washer/dryer combo purchase worth it or just get a new 5th wheel with hookups inside. Now, we also have ebikes that are going on a rack. We just talked about it again and we're considering options with 2024 being an active year for RVing potentially.
I got 4 trailers way too many godamn tires bent axles etc fucken nightmare
I try to think positively. You have 4 trailers! Awesome. I hope the axles get fixed inexpensively for you.

Which app are you using on your phone for the speedometer
It's called "Speedometer" and has "69" as a graphic on the tille.
2011 my seat mount is nothing like this..
2008-2010 is the same vehicle model. Thing is that Ford kept lots of features between models as well. I guess this wasn't one of them. Hopefully it's close enough so the concept fits for you.
Never use Teflon tape for Gas line. Even the yellow for something that will be an interior use. That grommet can still allow fumes to squeeze by & go into your living space. Use original Rector Seal 5, not the Teflon one for any gas line. Teflon leaks, believe it or not about 70% of the time and won't seal if threads are disturbed in any way. Especially no sealer or tape for Flare fittings. They are designed to seal at the flare, not on the threads. By using tape on Flare threads it can prevent proper seating of the brass flare inside. Flare thread is Not Pipe thread.
Actually did some research on this before using it. Even now, people say different things. Still, from my experience in the Air Force, we used teflon tape on high pressure oxygen cylinders. We called them passenger oxygen kits and each C-130 aircraft had 15-30 of these high pressure oxygen tanks. Part of each preflight we did was to inspect the cylinders for leaks. They rarely leaked. For 15+ years I filled and maintained these cylinders, and I believe the PSI was much higher. Also wanted to mention that the connection to the water heater is outside of the RV vented (shown in video) and then the gas itself has an odor incorporated so it can be detected. All extra measures. Regardless, thanks for the input and know that I've been RVing for 14 years now and have only used the gas function once or twice. We're almost always at full hookups (electric) so the gas would only be used as an emergency backup.
What was the wiring part! I need help with mine...
In area starting at about 20:00 to 24:00. It's color to color except for yellow which isn't used because it's integrated on Dometic. I talk about it at about 12:00 and again in the 20's. Please watch the whole video especially towards the end. It's pretty simple. You'll see it's easy.
Would love it if you subscribed for more upcoming content! Thanks so much for watching.
If you're still here after 6 years, thanks for the video. Needed to take out seats to install a subwoofer and I didn't want to go into it blinded. Easier than I expected and was able to get the seats out in 5 minutes.
You're welcome. Glad it went so well for you.
My wife and I just returned from a two week road trip where Thermopolis really took the cake!
Great solution!
One of the guys from work and I used DuBois as a base for fishing trips in the Winds. We used Blake Chamley as the outfitter. We both really enjoyed our time there.
It's been a while, but still have wonderful thoughts of our stay there.

I certainly might consider it, but you have to tell me why first.
Awesome video! Outstanding detail. Thanks for sharing your mistakes so we do not repeat them
Great video. I have this same kayak. I’ve had it only a month now and have been working on getting familiar with everything. Glad to see your pump gage moves mine doesn’t change so I’ve had to wing it somewhat. I need to reach out to Sea Eagle for another issue so I might mention the issue with the hand pump. Happy paddling.
Best to you and happy paddling to you as well.
How easy does it paddle? Does the wind really push it off coarse easy? Thinking about putting a trolling motor and higher up fishing seat on one?
My pump has never worked either. I just go by feel. I still blow it up less than the automatic pump does
Have you had any problems with your bikes ? If so how was customer support? We’re looking to buy two bikes and not sure which ones to go with.
