  • Our upcoming RV trip has motivated me to purchase a couple ebikes for Gina and me. After tons of research, Vitilan U7 are the types I went with. This is my second video on the ebikes where I show what I have outfitted them with to provide comfort, utility, and safety.

    Looks like you switched the seat on the one. How did you do that? Of course it comes with no instructions.

      Hi R. I'm not dead sure you speaking to the post or the seats exactly so I'll answer all seat-related changes. The package I bought for the bikes included two seat upgrades. They're both on our bikes now vs the normal seat. The seat posts that come on the bikes allow the seat to be flipped up. That design is too high for my wife even on the lowest level so I bought a solid seat post for her which lets her get on and off easier. It lowers the seat about 2" more.

    I know you probably like your bike locks but if you are going to be doing alot of bike travels I would definitely invest in a better lock. Someone wanting to steal your bike would easily just get some bolt cutters and easily cut through the lock. These types of locks are really not advised for using on an e bike or even an ordinary bike.. Just a heads up. It's up to u what you use but be advised.

      I did notice that many on YT say these bikes are subject to being stolen...after purchasing these locks. Our country is turning to shit with how criminals are being normalized. Police never try and catch thieves. Anyway, I've got a couple other things I've done since. I might video them, but it'll also alert thieves whose job (it seems) is to steal and stay on top of new methods of security. I've got a lock bar, a tow chain with two tough locks, and an alarm. I'll also cover them under a bike cover at night right under the fifth wheel bedroom outside where I can hear potential theft. When out and about, we'll likely not stop in often leaving the bikes, but have the two ones on the bike and an alarm and try to leave them in visual sight. That's my plan post flimsy lock purchase.

      @@C3Voyage Bikes have been stolen since I was a teen...nothing new there. Portland police found many ebike thieves with bolt cutters and some of the locks supposed to be cut proof were cut in short order. I need to do more research before I select and purchase my e bike.

      There are some good reviews and discussions about locks, Ebike Escape has a very good discussion about the 7 levels of security ratings on bike security. Been riding relatively expensive bikes since 1975 and theft has always been a problem, my first 10 spd rear wheel was stolen the second day I owned my bike. Fortunately a fellow airman saw the thief steal the wheel and reported it to the SP’s. Thief did 30 days hard labor on the neighboring army base😂. More HARD labor would be a good deterrent IMHO.

      @@brianbarney1885 I will check out this review on locks as we need better ones. At this time, we ride for coffee/tea and one goes in to get the order while the other stays outside with the bikes. BTW Hubby and I are both Air Force Veterans.

    Can you give us the link to the bag and the pepper spray please.

      No problem. If you look in the description of this video, I have a link to my Amazon store which really is a grouping of Amazon stuff I select to show what I use in various areas. There's a spot for the ebikes. At bottom of page, click "show more from the list" button to extend the rest of the items. Buying from the store doesn't cost you a penny more than you would normally have paid and you get to access specific items you see in my videos. Best to you.

      I’ve carried a product halt for 20 or more years. I used it twice. The first time was on a spitz that routinely chased my bike , in my neighborhood, being no way to avoid him. His owners would watch him chase after my non elected bike. One day he was inches from my foot and I sprayed him. He stopped in his tracks, ran back to his yard, rolled around on the ground while rubbing his eyes with his paws and moaning. The next day he was chained in the yard. The second time two Great Pyrenees that would chase my side by side atv. One day again one of them was inches away from biting me and I sprayed him. Not only did he ever come near me again, but his partner also never came out of his yard again when I drove by, evidently having just seen enough to know that he didn’t want any part of it. Halt is what most mailmen carry.

    How come nobody does a review on how the control panel works like for power pedal assist I would like to know how to be able to make adjustments on the bike

      @C3Voyage Год назад

      I could attempt to do one while we're on our RV trip in 3+ weeks, but I'm not fully aware of all the "P" settings. Just a few of them, and of course, I have the U7 Vitilan which has a different display/settings from the i7 Vitilan and definitely from all other eBikes not Vitilan. Is my U7 settings of interest?

      I believe sir you have the same control panel as the i7 Pro Bike

      @@donwilson350 I can't validate that, but I thought I read somewhere it's not. The U7 has P1, P2, P3...to P9 and a couple more. I push the - and + to enter settings. That the same? If the same, it might help all Vitilan owners then. Are you a member of the Vitilan FB group? Might be worth asking there.

    Really good info here. But, why would anyone leave home without having their phone already charged? Use the battery capacity for what it’s for, running the e-bike. Quit being a bunch of losers.

    • @C3Voyage
      @C3Voyage Год назад +1

      You are hilarious. That's actually funny vs offensive. Let me give you one example. When I went to Cedar Key, Florida and rode for hours using my phone's gps. The power to charge the phone is incredibly small. Not having the option to charge is a lost opportunity, Mr. Brian. Using it or not is a choice for this loser. Lol.

      Mine charges the phone from no power to a fully charged phone in one hour or less, while I ride. I rode my Vitilan mostly on level 1 and 2 , with phone on the charger for 20 miles recently and only just used one bar of electricity.
