This is by far the best durability test for this bike! I have watched alot of videos and this one is by far the best for showing the offroad of it. I am impressed by how well this did and it seemed pretty agile. Also Im thinking of upgrading to this from my lectric xp 2.0 for my daily commuter. Would you recommend this for that as well as gravel roads for hunting?
@VSlim45 Just ordered the dual star today! No customization at all so I was told it would be a quicker delivery im so stoked! Thanks for uploading this! You and a few others convinced me to buy this i sincerely appreciate the thorough testing. Lastly how long did your delivery take?
Other than being much heavier and taller. Yes. We went from 2.0s to Ecell 5 stars dual stars. Loving them. We was all around 230 degrees on the motor. So I'd like to know what this gentleman had on his temps.
The Cruiser steering tension is adjustable, he has it tight to keep it stable because it is a step through, while it makes ut easy to mount/dismount, it doesn't have the stability bar so the dampening is required to keep it from getting the wobbles
Awesome video. I have the exact bike in blue. Great to see it handle those mountain trails, especially the single track dirt trails. Most of my riding so far has been on paved trails. You correct about the power; I seldom ride above PAS level 2. Too many pedestrians, pets, and deer on the trails I ride on. Brother, evidently I am not as powerful you, but definitely get a bike rack to carry that beast. I love mine; glad I got it. Makes transporting much easier on your back. Just saying. Is that a camera mount I see attached to the fork? Who makes that? Thanks for posting. Go wash her off.
What a great video - well done ! I am new to Ebikes and started off with a Fat Tire Cruiser (sixthreezero 500W). Most bikes put too much weight on my neck and low back with the position of the bike - but the cruiser is perfect. Curious what your thoughts are on this point - do you find that the eCells Dual Star has more of an upright position (like a cruiser) vs a Mountain Bike ? Any issues with your neck or back ? Really love this bike and your videos on it.
Thank you! Yes, it is much more upright than a mountain bike. It's a very comfortable riding position, very similar to the cruiser. I've had no issues with my back or neck after riding this bike.
Great Video! What kind of Camera Mount do you use??? I've been clapping my iPhone to the handlebars and that works well, surprised that it doesn't translate Vibration when I set it to wide angle... But I like the different perspectives you are getting using you "set up"...
Thank you! I'm using a Pelking clamp mount, and I just got another Pelking motorcycle mount that I tried out today for the first time. Right now I shoot everything on my insta 360 x3.
i've had my wired freedom for officially over a week now and 210 miles....at 50 miles i swapped the kenda's for origin8 supercells, best thing i did seriously. keep in mind i ride mostly on pavement and have 160-170psi in the rear shock.
I have the E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown. Yeah, the TWO wheel drive version of the Double Star. So in two wheel drive I don't get the mileage of the Dual Star. I use mine for hunting and camping to explore Nevada's mining ghost towns and ghost mining equipment.
Can you install the front basket or that big light will make it imposible.I heard they already come up with the extension bracket to attach the front basket, but I am not 100% sure that will help especially when you do tight turns. What are your thoughts about it??? ??????
Great video, I think a lot of the nimbleness of this bike comes from its 4 inch tires which make it resemble a dirt bike. This really gives the bike good traction as well as provides some cushion. Funny that you're allowing those two keys to dangle the whole time.😅
So you were saying at the end of your video that you had 50% battery left. Does that mean on your other rides when you didn’t have the rear battery on that you were having to struggle with an almost dead battery? Also, I’m almost 6’5” and curious how manageable it is to get on vs a step through like your friends Wired. I would be having the seat up as high as possible too cause I prefer full extension when pedaling. My other concern is having a torque sensor. My current e-bike Biktrix Kutty is cadence and I can’t stand the ghost pedaling 😅
Yes, I was really wondering why my range on the first 3 rides was so little...lol. I felt pretty dumb when I discovered that power switch. 😂 the step through is MUCH easier to get onto. My friend got that because he has bad back problems. I raise the seat when riding on streets, for the trail I lower it a bit for better control. Thank you!
If you pedal to match the speed of the pas settings there's enough gearing to no ghost pedal. Even at top speed. I only have a single battery, I have ran 35 miles hard, with no issue. Recently got a wired too with the 2nd battery, don't even use the 2nd battery usually. Most our rides are under 30 miles.
I have both bikes and going to do some racing and top gear style head to heads. The wired is much faster. The ecells is better built, that being said is the wired built "good enough" idk yet. Lol. If ecells would give us 3280 watts like wired, the updated gui interface on the screen. Boy it would be a knock out. Oh, I have the guide forks on both currently, air forks ordered for ecells, but I can tell I'm going to love the air fork so much more. I'm 250lbs. And need preload adjustments.
Also the wired headlight is 5x brighter than the ecells stock headlight. The taillight is very bright as well. Small things in the big picture. The wired has some wobble and kinda a weird directional pull feeling when riding, compared to ecells, my wife agreed. I actually crashed yesterday and she said see the wired is sketch. 😅. Nah it was wet pavement and off-road tread that got me. But there's a difference, not sure it it means anything though. Need more time on it.
@@sledhead904 I agree, I have ridden my friends and he has ridden mine, we both noticed the same difference on the Wired. It just feels a little "weird" but his does seem faster than my e-cells. Happy riding!
Well, it's not really a fair comparison since the wired is the cruiser style and not the "freedom". That said, ECells is my pick between the two. If you watch my other video where we ride together, you'll see his is faster, but it cuts out frequently.
I gave back for your dollar's worth of making it a great day.. Subscriber now. Sounds like you may need a chain stay foam guard. Maybe go to a clutch rear derailleur..😂 Does that have the upgraded front forks, or the stock ones?
You are not telling the truth about the wired bike....it can go easily 50 miles on the main battery only....two batteries are not needed and should be offered as an option on both bikes.
Um... I'm not sure what you're talking about. Did I say the wired couldn't go 50 miles? I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything about the range of the wired... thanks for watching though
In another video he says its a 19” and he’s 6’2”. I ordered a 19 and am 6 even so it’ll be interesting IF it ever gets here (currently 3 1/2 months and counting).
@@327journalI'm exactly 6' and the 19" frame is perfect for me. The 19" frame also resolves the issue of the rear shock hitting the battery when compressed like it can on the smaller 17" frame.

@@alanhoots6032 pretty sure you don't want to get over 230 degrees. I think I read somewhere that if it gets that hot, give it rest and cool down.
Great video, love seeing the ECells Dual Star in action. I have the stock Five Star and have a blast riding it.
Great video, I ordered mine with a two month wait but I think it’ll be worth it! By the way, I love the dollar left, to make it a great day!

Lol, it is a great looking bike. 🎉

Keys dangling on cable cracked me up. Great video though
I'd like to see the eCells Step Star compared to the Wired bike... much more of an apples to apples comparison. Thanks for the video! 😊👍
True. I'd love to get my hands on one!
Hey, thanks for posting this video. Dang i thought i was gonna be the first in Ventura with a dual star. I’m still waiting on mine.
Great video. Thanks. The Ecells has a torque or cadence sensor?
I have a cadence sensor on mine. I met a guy yesterday who is still waiting for his and it'll have a torque sensor. So whichever one you want.
The wired cruiser's rear fender is smashed in at the top attachment point. Likely caused during shipping.
Yes, a lot of them had that happen during shipping. His doesn't affect the rear wheel.
I sorted mine out by lifting the rack with ratchet straps. It pulled the kink out of the fender as well.
Change handle bars and there pretty much same height? Lookas close. Thanks for showing it off. Im getting one. I may see ya in Malibu.
Yes, changing the handlebars could lower it. I like the way it sits up high like that though, I think I'll keep it as it's for now. Have fun!

Is the second battery the same for the E-Cells and the Wired ?
Yes, I believe it is the same rating. It has a slightly different light on the battery, but the voltage and amp hours are the same.
I carry a little plastic baggy and zip tie ro put on the display in case it's raining bad. Twist tie bread wrapper tie ..
Would you recommend changing tires for that trail?
I wouldn't. The tires that come on it handled the trail great. But that was my first trail ride, so I haven't had much time to form a solid opinion.
