@Fifa2023-p4l can't believe it!! Another candidate to blown in pieces😬 where you have ever seen potassium Chlorate on strobe fuel in any of my videos ??? How did you came up with the idea of using potassium Chlorate? This is obviously not for you man !! Unless you want to blow up in pieces!! Why do you want to make a strobe motor wich is the most sensitive and complex fuel to make when not having any minimum knowledge of what are you doing?

@@soos5125 the magnesium carbonate I use is from fireworks cookbook, which is a chemical supplier for the fireworks industry , so in other words I dont think the magnesium carbonate in this case will be food grade , that will bring the cost way higher that what is selling for which is about u$ 10 per pound.

@@Pyroflorida I don't know, sir. I think what's important is the chemical formula for magnesium carbonate, regardless of its shape, whether it's cream-colored or white. I'll do some research and try. Thank you.

@@soos5125 magnesium carbonate is magnesium carbonate , doesn't matter if is food grade or tech grade , is going to work anyway , the difference is that a high purity food grade is more expensive . And yes , it's a white fluffy very light powder.

@Pyroflorida do a small batch that way . That potassium dichromate takes longer to mill by itself.

@@Pyroflorida We can purchase celluloid ping-pong balls here, each weighing 2.7 grams. According to your formula, 3% nitro lacquer is required. Does this mean the nitrocellulose content is around 3 grams? If so, can I dissolve two 2.7-gram ping-pong balls in acetone as a substitute?

@@强张-n3n I heard that usually good quality ping pong balls are made out of nitrocellulose, so you should be able to dissolve the ping pong balls with acetone.

@@HenrikSherwood I always had pretty good results with my strobes , until changed the ba sulfate , I'll confirm my suspicion soon.

My recent video of my strobes show how the pops isn't really hard and it's the same barium from chem soure that I use in my videos that my strobe rockets is pops hard as hell

@@thakurboys5962 yes , it is , they are poisonous , especially the potassium dichromate, strobe fuel is quite sensitive as well , it can be only pressed, never hand rammed.

@thakurboys5962 It's a learning process you don't start off doing strobes you will blow yourself up, I started with black powder, then to whistle and with whistle I started with benzoate and now Sali I want to try KHP but yet to get my hands on it. Strobe is something I still don't quite mess with yet as i just personally feel I'm not ready for it. Plus I would want to press 1lb strobes and I only have 4oz tooling so I feel the effects it gives off for such a little rocket is a waste of precious chems. 🎉

Barium sulfate is always barium sulfate, and yes, it isn’t hygroscopic. Tim at PCS carries the most high-quality barium sulfate, AP, K dichromate, and magnaliums out there. The issue must be present unintentionally, as a recent unforseen contamination in the barium sulfate. My PCS barium sulfate from 2022 and 2023 function flawlessly, as well as strontium sulfate. If all else fails, switch out the barium sulfate for strontium sulfate. Oftentimes, strontium sulfate works better than barium sulfate and results in louder pops.

​@@ShortFuseMan oh man thats funny you mention strontium sulfate cause i just got some in the mail yesterday and made my first batch of strobe with it, Im excited to test the motor i pressed because I ignited a little test scoop and the stuff was popping pretty good unconfined. it had a really cool pink flame to :D

@g.i.n4668 greed dot is nitrocellulose smokeless gun powder , by adding acetone it becomes the nc laqcuer

@g.i.n4668 yes , Vaseline dissolved in naphtha or camp fuel also works , same percentage of pure Vaseline, when naphtha or camp fuel is totally dry , fuel is ready

@ I looked for vaseline on the stalls and found that their use is to moisturize and soften the skin, did I find the right product?

@ oh wow kclo4 too😳 is that safe with the fine mesh mgAl 325? Its already a sensitive mix so i wonder how the kclo4 would affect sensitivity.

@ConsiPyro888 Hp140-4c as being developed many years ago , with the simple idea of a whistle fuel capable of lifting very heavy payloads when pressed in long spindles , I'm pretty sure the developer used the HP in reference to high power.
