I bought my 686S in September 1982 and still have. It has the same engraving you show on these models, field grade with a decent glossy blondish stock, I later added a butt pad.

I just bought the 695 second hand and i absolutely love it the guy who owned before me only shot 600 cartridges through it so its immaculate

Got to try out a new 825 out on the Sporting Clays course last week. He had just got it; very beautiful, very well balanced and light in hand. I actually thought the '8' looked modern and cool. edit: Forgot to say great review!
