I would be interested in the SL2 if were offered as a 7-7.5 lbs. 20 gauge. I'm old enough with Heart Disease issues I can't shoot a 4 box event with a 12 gauge. My current 4 gun Skeet Kit is a 20 gauge 686 Sporting with a custom stock and a 687 Silver Pigeon III Sporting 2 barrel set in 28/420.
@@Scooter-dm3qo There is no word on a 20G SL2 at the present moment, all focus is on the product of the 12G SL2, there may be a 20G in the future but we do not know that for certain.
The SL2 is a step in a different direction. Probably a good gun. The receiver’s shape and color scheme: (1) blue barrel, (2) matte grey and chrome features are a departure from what shooters have sought for two centuries in a shotgun. The SL2 looks as a gaudy version of Browning’s Cynergy. A carbon graphite trigger group is something I’ve not before known. Was Beretta’s motive durability or cost-savings? I shoot a Beretta SO4 and ASE 90. I’ve shot a DT 10 and examined a DT 11 and the difference compared to the SO and ASE guns is striking.
We all like different competition shotguns. This is a pretty cool refinement to be sure. FOR ME if I was going to go for a top tier competition shotgun I would start with a decent used type 4 Perazzi with the basic barrel configuration that I want. Then have it customized to what I want. I admit to being a Perazzi fan. I'm also less than 2 hours away from one of the best Perazzi service shops out there. Those things do have an admitted effect.
I’d love to see the pattern difference between steelium pro vs the steelium pro x barrels. It’s got to be amazing to justify the 10k+ price tag difference between the SL2 vs DT11
I was expecting it to be on the expensive side and around the £12k mark . Why on earth would you have that over DT11 which is 1 of the best comp guns ever made. You could have a DT11 and 25k cartridges to put through it 😆 and some change left over.
I never wish for a failure in the firearm industry. Innovation (in the right direction), should be rewarded. However, I'm not seeing the REAL improvements to justify paying what you would pay for a premium Krieghoff or Perazzi shotgun. People will buy this for the prestige factor Only if it really reduced felt recoil would it provide any real improvements. If it doesn't, where do you justify spending north of $20,000 for this new shotgun other than to say "I have one and you don't"?
i would never spend over 10 k for a beretta with chokes, i own 682 golds 686 390s a400 all the over and unders kick. I do own a Parcours which is a delight to shoot
nice gun expensive i am sure.but will it make you break more clays? or make you ten grand poorer? my mate once said to me the old farmer has his grandads shotgun and so long as he aims it right he kills everytime👍👍👍
@@PremierGunsDoveridge Es werden Flinten in weit höheren Preisklasse angeboten. 30-60.000 Euro. Eine sehr schöne Flinte. Meine Portokasse reicht leider nicht für diese Flinte.😬😉
I think they are betting on a newer group of shooters … or maybe Americans, who don’t find scrollwork appealing and want shape, color, texture. I don’t think it’s an age thing. I’m 55 and immediately liked it. But I’m also in the other categories. Could be wrong.
Any questions about the Beretta SL2 drop a comment below!
Would a trap gun with fixed chokes be available? Or are they all exchangeable chokes?

Please explain the physics behind the term "thermal energy" applied to the choke/barrel synergy.
incredible shotgun, Beretta have just lifted the bar AGAIN for competition shotguns.

Great video idea! We would love to pattern them once we get an SL2 to shoot and do a comparison between the two!
Best looking competitive sporting gun available right now!
Insanely Gorgeous.
Haven’t finished, but desperately hoping you don’t mention the price. But a good view of an ambitious gun. Thank you.
I did some digging looks like around 19,599 euro
Very Nice '' Another Great Video 💯Thank you 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
Thank you so much!
Interesting that the bore is smaller than the DT11. Wonder what the reasoning is behind that decision.
Helps to generate more recoil !! 🤣🤣🤣

£18,300
Is it the same sort of price to a Browning XS pro 🧐🥺
The price is £18,300

Every gun that Beretta makes is the ultimate gun. Which one really is?

828U with a different name, I prefer the SP1 but I'm a nasty old American 😁
Pretty big difference between a 828U and an SL2
The Benelli 828u sporter is an underrated gun for sure.
God Bless M’erica
thats ridiculous
This = 828U? Your analysis is less than skin deep.
£25000 don’t think so unreal.
It is £18,300

That is one ugly receiver. I hope more brands don't head in that direction

I love it. Looks like an evolution of my 694 and I love it. I'll need a lottery win to own one though!
That bolt through the hinge...ugly.
And the price ?
@@kurtricketts1618 I think the RRP is around £25K
They all look pretty much the same.Nothing new coming from Beretta?
This gun has a new coating, new top levers, new barrels, and new chokes. 😊
i think he means the dt family. This is just another SO model with no engraving @@PremierGunsDoveridge
@@rtyhhas the SO series are sidelocks, this is a trigger plate/boxlock.
All that work and R&D and they stick a half inch coach bolt through the hinge.....I don't get beretta.
