Cycling Vlog From Malaysia to Singapore -ep.2
This Vlog is episode 2 of our cycling adventure from Malaysia to Singapore. If you haven’t seen Episode 1, make sure to watch both:) I’m 24, and my friend Dang, who is 28 from Vietnam, met in the city of Melaca, Malaysia. The next day, we hit the road aiming for Singapore. During our 5-day ride, we argued a lot and got hurt, but we made unforgettable memories. Let's cycle together somewhere in the world again, my bro!✨

My First Cycling Journey from Malaysia to Singapore
Просмотров 7 тыс.14 дней назад
In this video, I capture memories of our first cycling adventure from Malaysia to Singapore. Sometimes, we get so caught up in the demands of society that we lose sight of ourselves. When that happens, we should remember the lyrics from Avicii's song "The Nights"-"live a life you will remember"-and pursue what we truly want to do. I was reminded of this by Dang, a Vietnamese traveler I met in M...

    Congrats for making it all the way to Singapore. Differences can be hard to work out with people you've known for a while, so they are probably double hard for someone you just met. But you persevered despite that and now you have another chapter added to the book of your life. You'll always be able to hang on to these memories. 👏🎉

    You did really well regardless, spending so much time with a person you had only just met. You must have seen things that most tourists probably wouldn't, with their pre-planned and tightly controlled itineraries. What a great experience!

    That was a great adventure. Don't feel too bad about fighting, it happens when you spend a lot of time with someone who is 'a stranger'. Hopefully you have stayed in contact after and could at least be friends online. I was going to ask, I remember you bought your bike in one place, what did you do with it? Did you sell it to someone else?

    Hello Saiko-San, its so incredible how this trip changed you when I compare the latest 2 videos from you with the first ones you uploaded. You smile and laugh a lot, that warms my heart. I would say your decision to go on this trip was 100% right, nobody can take the memories you made on this trip. Also your English improved a lot. I hope the good vibe will last forever and if not go on another trip, you are only once young. 💪✌

It's seems to have been a totally transformational experience for you. I'm sure you feel like you've learned a lot about yourself, life, other people, yeah, so much. There was once, in one of the Nagasaki mall basement food court. It was a special day promotion for Sanuki Udon. I have 500 Yen for a big wooden tub of Beef Broth Udon. 🤣😂 You know, before Year 2000, during the Japanese Prime Years, I learnt from the locals, there are rarely any 500Y single coin budget meals.

    I've been watching a few of your past videos. You're always too hard on yourself, but this video is different. I find you are maturing as a human being. It is okay to make mistakes; that's how we learn not to make them again. That's how we grow as a person. Travelling alone takes a courageous person, so you are already doing something only a few will venture to do. I wish you safe travels, Saiko... take good care of yourself... and please apply sun cream when travelling throughout Asia. The sun is no joke, and it's no fun being sunburnt.

  • @AndrewYPTang
    @AndrewYPTang 12 дней назад

    Don't be so hard on yourself. You're doing something many would not even dare to do: Going hiking alone takes a lot of mental and physical strength. And don't be afraid of making mistakes in life; that's how we learn. It's something called experience. Take care!

  • @AndrewYPTang
    @AndrewYPTang 12 дней назад

    Saiko, don't worry about what will happen 5 - 10 years down the line. Live each day as if it's your last, and enjoy life. And OMG, you're going to be so sunburnt. Please apply ample sunscreen and wear a long-sleeve shirt or get an arm protector at least. You need to protect the back of your neck and the top of your legs from getting burnt. Ride safe, and take care of both you and Dang!

    08:16 I don't know about other countries. But in Indonesia, honking while you're passing a pedestrian, a cyclist, or a motorcyclist is a way of letting them know you are passing them. Kinda like a safety reminder that there's a vehicle passing you. Maybe it's the same in Malaysia as well

    • @Glee73
      @Glee73 14 дней назад

      i'm from Malaysia. have travelled extensively in Indonesia.. i can confirm that the honking in Indonesia is exactly as you described it. Unfortunately, in Malaysia.. honking is usually far more aggressive in nature most of the time. People here are more impatient on the road. But once out of the car, people are friendly, kind and generous.. just not very much behind the wheel.

    What an amazing cycling journey it has been! The views are really breath-taking! I think cycling makes the journey a lot more enjoyable and allows you to take it all in more as opposed to being in a car or bus (especially when you take those side streets away from the craziness) but maybe that's just my opinion 😅 I remember that in the beginning of your travels you said that your main goal was to put yourself in uncomfortable situations interacting with people so that you can learn, grow and create amazing memories that will forever stay with you. I believe this video is proof that you're doing it! Well done Saiko! As always, thank you for the video and stay safe and healthy! 😊
