Very cool product. What would happen long term if you didn't apply the hydrophobic sealant? Even with the sealant, do the pavers still act like a pervious surface because of the sand joints?

I'm leaning toward a mix of around 11% binder, with a bit more lime than portland.

Can ceb be used as a part of a slab foundation? Basically either bellow the pour level where places tend to pour several inches of rock or even in the pour area to act as large lumps in the same line of thought as to why we insert rebar. I may be totally wrong there im just trying to understand all the usecases for this product. I know how electric and plubing lines are run in a wood frame home, but what should we do with a ceb structure? Concrete can be patched, and even bricks you can buy those thin blocks to patch. How do we cut out or patch ceb walls to allow pipes and wires? Also how would you insolate such a structure? From my understanding interior insolation could lead to condensation issues on solid mason walls and insolation cavities between two wall segments also has issues with water retention. I want to believe in this building material but i duno how to work it. Any advice would sincearly be appreciated.

did the first courses have higher stabilization (cement in the mix)? I ask because I didn't see you guys dipping those blocks in water to ensure they can adhere to the mortar without taking all the moisture away from it.

I am just trying to learn so bear with me.... Can you do 10% stabilization? Can you play with different ratios of cement, lime, and pozzolan? I know they use these different items in stabilization of rammed earth. And I know cseb construction is faster, but is the overall strength equal to a monolithic stabilized rammed earth wall? Also, what about larger block sizes and thicknesses? What is the most affordable auto block machine for the average working man? Love what y'all do. Hi from NC!

Rice water and ground rice or cooked rice as well mixed with lime and dirt I'm told is a very extensively durable mortar it's like what they use in the Wall of China. But just think of it like this how hard does rice get if you leave it stuck to the side of the pan. Hopefully next year when I start building mine I will post some videos of the mixes I come out with but lime is definitely on the top 10 list of best materials to mix with dirt for me.

Did they just start building with earth blocks on top of the gravel ? Where is the stem wall?
