Comparing the compressive strength of two different CEB mix designs for a customer

  • In this video, we make two different CEBs - one with native soil mixed with 8% cement...the other using a 4 to 1 native soil to sand mix...and then stabilized with 8% cement. Both blocks performed very well (over 2,000 PSI compressive strength), and this helped us determined that the sand augmentation is not necessary.

    Awesome. Was there a soil test/sieve test to know the mix between clay/sand/silt/aggregate?
