In this video I make a stand for the iTouch or iPhone out of a DV cassette case. I found that using a hack saw made quick work out of this project. The stand works great and holds your ear buds when not in use. I saw someone here on RUclips make this project with a large file but I found that method cumbersome and slow. He had a great idea though.

This kit costs about $14 and it took me around 25 minutes to assemble plus the time to install in project box. It was easy to build and lots of fun. I put my voice through the voice changer at the end of the video to look like a witness who wants to remain anonymous. Enjoy and thanks for watching.

This wotn work for audio tho. The mic input get garpled with heavy base audio like techno and so on.

I enjoy the DYI aspect, but I can pick up similar on amazon for $20 and save myself the trouble. This is still useful though because since they’re basically the same we now know how to fix a fabricated one if it breaks, so I still like the video.

where does 1000k resistor go?
Hi girls, I`m a 27 years old man, so with this mask my voice can seeming as the voice of a 54 years old man?
This does not work wired like this , You just have to add a 1000k resistor (or a little higher) from ground to positive on input. I now have it working with deplike
impedance is all wrong with this over simplified junk complete fail obvious he never tested it

do adapters work?. I think if you buy a 3.5mm jack splitter and a 6.2mm to 3.5mm jack adapter for the guitar cable and with the right software or app. It just might work.(the other extra jack is for your headphones or smthn)

Title is incorrect. There are 4 connections on ipod/iphone for modern use. You could damage your apple equipment using this and in any case the sound reproduction is noticeably worse since two channels are merged. Remove the reference to ipod and its ok.

im also tried this and the same no recognized the instrument it is because maybe your iphone had set as an built in mic .and the input iphone headset
I bought a $6.99 USB soundcard. Deplike didn't work on an old android, so I installed it on a newer one. It works. Also, USB soundcard tester app works for producing amplified sound, with no effects.

You have basically made an antenna to pick up RFI... i'm glad you are happy with it... however, that particular wire isn't a good example of what should be used for interconnects... anything in the signal chain before the power amplifier should be fully shielded with tight braid... you are using speaker wire.. your drain/shield conductor isn't appropriate as a shield in the circuit pre-amplification... that shield is just a stab at possibly helping carry the 60hz hum away in case the cable runs next to a romex run in a wall or ceiling.. but it's not appropriate in the low level signal chain... my guess is your particular placement is in a low RFI location and it sounds ok to you.. which is great... for you... but generally the proper cable would be a fully braided shielded cable... microphone or instrument cable is an example of a good cable for interconnects... even coaxial cable is used for interconnects because it's very resistant to RFI.. let's use speaker cable for speakers where a shield isn't that important.. other than using the wrong cable, nice job... nice finishing touch with the sleeving.. i've been doing that for years...

This is the answer I was looking for to plug my guitar into my phone, thanks! I did find an error in your schematic: The guitar plug is not 1/8", it should be: 1/4", as shown in the completed assembly picture. It also appears that the female jack is not wired for stereo (showing only two wires, it needs three: L, R & common), Unless, the one gray wire actually represents two wires...

just curious, why use 4 wires for a 3 pin connector? Seems you pair the cables 2 by 2, what about the fact you have a mass, + & - leads? all in all, I wonder how many folks will follow this instructions and how many (the majority of them I suppose) will go buy this for a cheaper price (neutrik is great but expensive)
