One of my favorite traits is the socially awkward trait. I like having a sim with this trait try to romance or be romanced and it gives this cute awkwardness. I like that it makes social interactions different and cute.😅

The expressionistic trait is great for doing emotional paintings (potetially really strong ones) if you want to manipulate your sim's emotions, for example easily setting a flirty ambient for a date at home or making everyone miserable, it's also great because it alows you to write emotional books such as romantic novels or training guides at will and that's great for roleplaying. To me is an S-tier trait, specially if you play as a creative sim.

For the higher education trait, I always complete it just because its easy. If your going through university you don't really have to go out of your way to complete it

I have an erratic sim and tbh she’s on of my favorites minus the frequent mood swings, especially around her cycle.

Child of the island allows you to contribute to Sulani by cleaning up the island and further by doing the conservation career. If you do well you can bond with the ancestors, adding them to your household. Then you can have children with them and the child that’s born gets a special trait that unlocks additional special features on the game.

The binary thing in the sims PISSES ME OFF. First, I play in french, so I guess there can be no f*ing pronouns for me. Sad emoji. I get that the grammar is complicated (and when I see that they are not even able to make "they/them" work I am scared to think about "iel" in the sims lmao) but they could at least let us choose if we prefer to use he or she, it's the bare minimum. I also get really frustrated that you have to choose between boobs and a moustache. I can't get a moustache in real life. Let me get it in the sims without having to sacrifice my boobs. I love boobs, I wanna keep boobs. The fact that the clothes look horrid when you put them on a differently framed body is also pissing me off. They should work as well for both of these. And finally, why is it that my sim has to like men in order to not exclude fellow trans people. When in reality I want them to date anybody but cis men lmao. Anyway, I guess it's better than it used to be, but I want more. (Also why are the binders not binding did I miss something?)

I will start by stating that I don't live in the US, so there are no native communities around me, and although I have studied the colonisation of US in university (so I know this bleak part of native history) I am in no way a connaisseur. But here are my thoughts about the representation in this pack: It feels like the only native characters who get representation are the ones that were assimilated. For what I've seen, the pack focuses on western equitation and aesthetics, which stems from cowboys and this historical era. An era that cost native populations their land, culture, freedom and family members. Now I can guess assimilation was kinda necessary for survival at the time, so maybe it could lead to this culture taking a big part in indigenous life at the time (if anyone knows more about it, I'd be glad to hear what you have to say) However, I don't think it's fair to represent a whole group of cultures through the lens of the group that directly oppressed them, and drastically diminished the population (aka killed them) Does this mean a good native is a cowboy fan? Also, I get making a connection between natives and horses, but I feel like modern equitation doesn't represent the kind of approach that was more traditional, but again I'm just a white european so I may be full of shit. Maybe nowadays, native communities actually partake in western education a lot. But yeah, that seems fishy to me. Also like, they are apparently "thriving" again, but when you know that bisons were led on the edge of extinction by said colonisers (as a kid I thought they were not a real animal that still existed lmao) I feel uneasy seeing them stewed in this game. Those were my thoughts, tell me if I understood things wrong I'd be glad to learn more :) I just think they could have brought up native american representation without being centered on their opressor because to me, this sounds fucked up

Erratic should've been Capricious, Quirky or Weird. They like getting struck by lightning. Why not lean into that and make them enjoy otherwise unpleasant things.

Professional Slacker means that no matter what you do at your job your sim never gets demoted or fired. Like you can just skip work for days at a time with no real punishment. Your boss will call you and tell you to do better, but doing better isn't necessary for keeping your job or the job levels you've already gained. I personally find it really fun to give this trait to nepobaby sims.

satisfaction Buy traits must haves are carefree, free services, and storm chaser. Carefree stops Sims from being tense, free services gives you a free maid\ gardener and nany. Storm chaser makes Sims not freak out in thunder storms, it does increase the risk to get hit with lightning but the panic every time it rains is to annoying. And yes fire immunity would work better with the culinary skill more logically, its weird for a gardening reward a better one would be cowplant immunity and ability to buy all plant seeds.

If you ever watched the anime K I like to use it in a similar plot point for a couple of my Sims so they can't be overthrown by each other so then give them a interest in fighting each other while still having their own lil fun activities they can do which sometimes over laps with another so there is a chance of running into each other

the animal enthusiast trait annoys me because of a glitch where if your sim previously had the trait before, even if you remove it it will still give you the negative moodlet for not seeing animals in a while I believe the geek trait does this too, ea really needs to fix this game 😭

Well, at least those binders are realistic. I mean if binders would hide more, aka if tey were too small, they would cause severe breathing issues and potentially permanent damage to your chest. So they may not bind much, but as a binder user myself, I think it's a good representation :]❤

You're forgetting half of the traits effects like high metabolism makes you live much longer and essence of flavor makes food never spoil. Alluring is garbage tier, as there are easier ways to succeed in romance with a sim, vampires, celebrities and even spell casters can do so with a single glance, without ever needing this trait.

I find that the cheerful trait is really useful for reducing the risk of death by anger or death by embarrassment, and can also be good for if you want a really friendly sim

There's a few extra milestones I feel like nobody really knows how many milestones are actually are and we can't really find it on Google. Thank you for showing me the basics.

Something that helps you get the reach milestone is the playmat and the look at toys interaction. (That's how all my infants get that milestone.)

I haven’t gotten far enough into the video yet to see what you say about the outdoor Retreat aspiration, but that is one of my favorites as it dramatically decreases sleep time in tents. Like nothing can beat it not even a fully upgraded expensive bed. My sim can go from passing out to full energy in 2.5 hrs from sleeping in a tent with this trait. For comparison, based on my testing fully upgraded beds (even expensive ones) are a little under 6 hrs from 0 to full energy! They also get some energy gain from sitting around on camping furniture (like if sitting around a campfire) and positive noodles from sleeping in tents, using tarp or outdoor showers, and sitting on camping furniture.

Evil is so fucking annoying. When my sim is having the PERFECT conversation with someone then they randomly choose to insult them which makes the conversation awkward and it infuriates me

The inconsistency between frame presets annoys me so much! I think it's one of the reasons sims 4 genetics are messed up, too. You can see what your sim would look like w/ the 'same' presets on the opposite frame when you change their frame in gender settings & keep everything else the same, and usually for me their entire jaw, chin & lip area looks entirely different, and *those* are the genetics that are inherited when they have offspring of the opposite frame. I'm pretty sure I've heard of some other upcoming life sim games that are getting rid of the frame locks for their characters, and I'm so glad-- they're so unnecessary. I hope (knowing it's probably futile) that a similar decision will be made with the sims 5.

You don't eat the Llama. You use the wool to cross-stitch! As far as Errands, you bake the pie for the other sim. You just need a cake to blow out the candles, to age up. He doesn't have to eat it. Sorry, this video has mistakes in it.

I wish that the medical wearables came with a little bit of gameplay to them instead of having your Sims just wear them and "pretend" that they have those disabilities, but I guess we can only dream or rely on modders to make it happen.

I get it but I love all the traits because you can use all of them in so many storytelling cause I really want to try hard and make some cause I've loved sims since 10ys old but I love learning more about sims from everyone 🥰💜
