Sorry, you obviously do very little electrical wiring work. Those strippers are garbage. Go down the street to Home Depot and for about $5 more you can get some automatic adjustment strippers that are 3x the quality.

Hello, thank you for your video. I had a question… I don’t understand why at the end of the video at 16.45 when testing the ringing signal, we don’t hear the signal when it was plugged to the bulb. You said it was an open loop. Still that’s the purpose of the device to trace where it catches the signal by ringing and after the open circuit the signal is lost and hums. And you find the open spot from going back and forth. Did you mean it was a closed loop from the black to red signal and ringing signal is disappeared when shorted from red sending signal to ground black ? Anyways something I’m missing… sorry if I didn’t understand

i just got one on ebay amazon wanted $900+on sale. on ebay after taxes and some promo discounts i paid $719 brand new. still had peel off on the screen. i was almost about to get the lite 2 but ill take this for nearly the same price! now just need to do some research on how much i can actually do with it ha!

It's the same exact XTOOL D7 from the same company, the same as the rest of them it's all one big umbrella company with all different names of OBD2 bi-directional scan tools. I'm not sure if anyone else has picked up on this, but everyone of them does the same thing whether it's ALTEL, TOPDON, LAUNCH, XTOOL & now the latest greatest VDIAGX7. When one company fizzles out, they just create a new division with an android tablet that just happens to look the same as others with promises of doing more than the other scan tools by comparison, when in actuality, they all pretty much do the same thing with subtle differences. This is what's known as boosting or rebranding, in order to increase sales. By now I think most people are catching on that all of these scan tools are doing the same things and they're all around the same price point. I would do a review as well for a free scan tool as well. Of course, you're going to highly recommend this scan over others even though there was no written agreement, but it's considered a gentleman's agreement when a company offers an item to review. It was a more non-biased review then it would be much more credible.

Can this scanner read and clear codes for Airbag, ESP and ABS?

This will be like Chrysler Vehicles where you can't bi-directionally control anything for diagnostics without paying them a pound to flesh. Automotive manufactures really don't like DIY repairs extending the service life of the vehicle

First, I’m a big Ryobi fan and have many Ryobi power tools plus other products like lights including 4, 18, and 40V. With that said, I’m not impressed with this tool. The power/torque capability is very limited and torques out very easy. When it torques out the wait time for it to reset seems forever. I’ve only used this tool for DIY household projects like for assembling items. The time it takes for reset after torquing out was extensive and using a plain old screwdriver probably would have been much faster. I’m also not impressed the the reverse switch. Ryobi gets 👎👎on this one…❗️

I'm not sure it's to do with chemistry of your battery... BUT i noticed that you connected the tester on the terminals at the FRONT of the car! That way you introduce additional resistance to the measurement. As an electrician i would say, that to get a true reading, you need to test it directly at the battery terminals in the trunk. Those testers calculate the cold cranking amps based on the resistance and voltage drop it sees when putting in a known resistance, not by actually testing the full amperage. So you might have got a fals reading by testing at terminals in the engine bay, not at the battery itself.

Cool. You can use Ernst 3/8in twist lock socket clips to retain the astro stubbies in any 17mm box end. They are a few bucks on Amazon. I have the 6-24mm no skip set and also got the dedicated long flex head which is super nice.

It's a serious tool and I love it. Absolutely not needed if you only have 1 car but it's a great tool for mechanics and people with multiple cars.
