    Your the boss, Meno I will not be doubting your interpretation of science however, you failed to explain the extreme tiredness we get for one or two days after an intense workout, especially when we do get close to failure in each set.

    One thing you're failing to mention about skull crushers is that tension on the triceps muscles gets transferred to the pecs and delts once the weight goes 60-65 degrees towards vertical. When I do that exercise I try to not bring the weight past that point. I also use dumbbells instead of a barbell and hold them together during the lift. Two 35-40 dumbbells 8-10 reps. I definitely feel it afterward, even later that day.

    Good god, what a disaster. "Performing a slower eccentric contraction" is an oxymoron. "Contraction" is the concentric 1:21 1:21 portion of the movement, as you just defined a few seconds earlier! Just complete gibberish.

    Hey Menno, i love your video's and i would love to watch all of them but i find it very hard to sit through the whole thing, mainly because you sit to close to the camera. I find myself stepping back about a meter myself or having to downsize the windom just for comfort. This might just be personal but i do think showing just a few more inches of your upper body in a more relaxed pose further from the camera would make the experience of watching you more enjoyable.

    I'm a biological woman who did multiple sets in the moderate rep range of 55 lb. seated OV dumbell presses, 155 lb. (one grip only) upright rows and 225 lb. vex bar shoulder shrugs NATURALLY - no growth hormones, steroids, substances, etc. What are THESE newbie videos doing in my feed?

WHY are these newbie videos on my feed??? Edit: I texted 55 lb. dumbell presses and the post left out that amount of weight.. then wouldn't let me EDIT the cell's mistake.

    All I’ve done for my traps is pendlay rows, DL/RDL, OHP and they’re my best body part. I think that’s all you need for traps.

    I'm surprised Kelso shrugs weren't mentioned. Try them and you'll immediately understand the difference. I do them on a smith machine. Another tip for shrugs I'm surprised I didn't hear is "use the straps". Use the straps god damn it, traps are very strong, your grip WILL fail before your traps.

    I like a 45 degree bench incline shrug. Sit down with chest on bench at 45 and shrug. Super simple and gets that better alignment of fibres with movement and good stretch at the bottom

    I've seen world class sprinters that actually just have been ripped their whole life. I knew a guy that had never worked out in his life and he looked like a Greek god. They are freaks in this world and there is a shit ton of them on African continent. I can remember looking at map of the world with the myostatin gene that gets people jacked and there is a huge prevalence of that in Africa.

    Point 3 points at heavy carries being effective as well. a nice farmers carry ticks a lot of the same boxes but can be held for longer time.

    Problem with testosterone levels is it varies A LOT. The same person can measure 250 one day and the very next day measure 750.

      Also how testosterone is measured matters. I started trt due to hypogonadism. My blood work came back with a very unimpressive 500 overall, however because I have low shgb my free test was at the upper limit for whats physiologically possible. So, not just total t, but how does your body process t.

    John Meadows was teaching the head forward lean on trap movements years ago, and it really made a big difference in my trap training. If you can do it on a chest supported bench at like 45 to 75 degrees, it feels great. Or just standing with a forward lean

    This info is not necessarily correct for everyone. Me personally, I got stronger and bigger using slow eccentrics. Time under tension give metabolic stress to muscles period.
