Canoe Camping Upper Coosawattee River
The upper portion of the Coosawattee River runs southwest roughly 16 miles from the convergence of the Ellijay and Cartecay Rivers in Ellijay, Georgia into the the northeast end of Carters Lake. This portion of the river is rated as class II. We started our trip at Harrison Park in Ellijay at noon. We put in on the Ellijay River under the McCutchen Street bridge. Noah and I started the adventure at the Beech Bottom Trailhead located in the southern Cherokee National Forest, Tennessee. From there, we hiked south into the Cohutta Wilderness Area of the Chattahoochee National Forest, Georgia. The 4 mile trail winds through some of the most rugged and remote wilderness the eastern United States has to offer before it reaches its southern terminus on Jacks R...

About time you made a video on jacks river
I know dude, I’ve been wanting to do this one for a while
I've been wanting to go to this...I'm in Ringgold and I have always heard about this.I have a mild obsession with trains and tunnels...Another cool tunnel with a crazy story. I lived in Richmond in Church Hill and the Church Hill Tunnel was right beneath me I'd walk by the closed up entrance everyday I walked down the hill to work....Also Nashville's underground tunnels that were used during prohibition. Every building downtown that is over 100 years old has an entrance to the tunnels in the basements
I hike all the time in Northeast Georgia, but I haven't been to this one. Thanks! You're making great memories with your son! Very nice to see!
im an 60/40 offtrail packer from the n.c/s.c. line not far from g.a. we need to talk. im sure we could trade some secret local hush holes and hilltops. the kind ya leave no trace cus ya don't want it to get out... love your vids
