I have this CPU, I am a happy camper.

Bought a 5600x in 2021, best decision i've ever made for that PC. Still going strong after 2 gpu swap and from what i saw it'll be able to handle a 7800XT with no problem. So I can still do another gpu change with no need to upgrade anything else

This has to be by far the most informative and well put together video I have ever seen on any tech channel. You should be proud of this one. I have no clue how many hours you needed for this BUT are you able to do more like this with older and more budget CPUs. I have a 11600k and would like to see if it's worthwhile me upgrading for my Rx 6800 at ultra wide

also, as i expected, the 6800xt performs better than the 4070ti when CPU limited because of nvidia driver overhead

the issue with the 12400f is the cache more than anything else, if you tune the RAM you will get much more performance, the actual main gain from a 12900k is the huge cache the 7600x3d is a 6 core cpu and faster than 14900k (that has 24 cores and runs at much higher clock) in gaming also, as already pointed out, Raytracing and some games are more BANDWITH limited that's why your 12400f with ddr4 struggled

When people simply ask a bottleneck question without providing other information like game, game detail, resolution and fps target you know they don’t understand bottlenecks. If some targets highest fps and less resolution and quality settings then even midranged gpus can easily be CPU bottlenecked.

All i noticed is my 12400f cpu fan is on max after the cyberpunk update but it runs it with a 3070 like a dream .

Great video! I bought my 1440p widescreen system and took the r5600 with a 7800xt and it’s amazing. The alternative was something on a am5 with weaker gpu cus of budget. And I’m glad that I took am4 with a cheap but decent cpu. Much more fps for the budget. And in view years I still can go with a beefier gpu and take the 5800x3d. So one upgrade is probably alright on this system.

Interesting video. I always though 12400f will be bottleneck with a 3070ti or higher. After watching this video. Probably 4070 is a perfect combo for 1440p.

I5 12600kf. About every idk couple of seconds I get frame drops from let’s say 80 down to 35 and a stutter. Then pops back up. Pole seconds later, same. 80 to 53 fps. Told it’s a bottleneck with my 3080. But my i510400f runs good. Idk. Now what lol

Ryzen 5600 is still the best CPU for performance to money... Compatible to high end GPU... Cheap RAM, Cheap Motherboard... The best for 1080p and 1440p gaming...

I had 12400f with 3060ti. But I updated to 4080 super and changed it to 12600kf. It was a good choice. I think 12600kf will be enough for 5-6 years in 4K

I use 12600KF with 4080 Super, and there is no any game with low FPS, GPU works 99% in every game in 4k. Just play in 4K and don't waste your money for CPU. Just buy new 4K monitor instead of it

So I have the I5 13500 and a RTX 4070 and only have 60 FPS in 1080P because it is logged at 60 FPS partly because of Vsync partly because of FPS limiter more than 1080P without DLSS without ray tracing I don't need I don't use 2K no 4K no 8K only 720P to 1080P
