I haven't been to the river in over 2 weeks. I must have a doppelganger out there or something. I'm usually nicer in person than that

I'm currently cast netting at Olathe Lake with my son who's 5. Just got out of church around noon. Hope you guys have a good day fishing and I hope to meet this guy that looks like me. This isn't the first time somebody has said that.

Trying to remember without watching it but with houses in the background that would possibly be Edwardsville boat ramp in Kansas City Kansas

Hey good luck with it! I really like the fact that it's a medium heavy rod and the tip is pretty light so you definitely can enjoy bass fishing with it. I would say you won't get as much tip action as you would with a lighter rod but you can fish for a variety of fish with the Whisker Seeker rod as well and still have a good time!

It depends where you are at and the current. I usually have a Carolina rig and Santee Cooper going and maybe a three-way rig on one. In some of my spots I might notice the three-way rig sometimes gets wrapped up like crazy and in the very fast current it might not be the best. I know guys that use it all the time everywhere.. For me if I reel in the 3 way and it's all wrapped around itself, I'll just go Carolina or Santee Cooper

😂😆 All I know is somebody gave me something at the gas station and then I realized 3 days later I was still there fishing haha.. Nahhh I don't mess around with anything like that for real but I was there way too long and I was super tired but kept getting energy whenever a fish would bite.

Thanks.!! I appreciate it. I use DaVinci Resolve for editing. I've started recording the least amount possible so that I have less footage to go through. I go through all my footage and try and come up with some sort of storyline that makes sense, sometimes it doesn't LOL so I'll have to show myself and explain what's going on. Whenever I do voice over I'm typically sitting at my computer with my camera just recording my voice and then I take out the video portion.

I need to find my good gloves. That would've helped a lot. Bringing a huge net bank fishing seems inconvenient but, if I was gonna fish the dam again, I might bring it.

It's a little complicated to explain it all but we do have several videos of different setups that we use and I hope it's helpful!!

Man I sold a first Gen last year to basically a collector because it didn't have any rust on it. it was the 5.9 which I wasn't the biggest fan of just for gas sake.. I am holding on to my Durango with the 5.7 for as long as I can cuz I actually really like it. The towing capacity is amazing with the all-wheel drive and I've worked on the 5.7 engines a lot so at the moment I wouldn't trade it out for anything lol.. From one Durango owner to another 😆

@@CatfishKC yeah I absolutely love my first gen the engine transmission and rear end was rebuilt at 200,000 I've got 368,000 mi on it now it looks great drives great and hasn't let me down in the 4 years I've had it just like you said I wouldn't trade it for nothing keeping it forever. Oh yeah mine's got the 4.7 and 4x4

Nice. I have around 250k on it. Did the valve cover gasket on it and a fuel pump and it's been good. It's got crazy pick up and the same power a truck would have.

I should've filmed down by the ramp itself, it was literally like 60 ft+ across or more. This was one of those last ditch efforts to try and fish somewhere and I got on my maps and remembered this spot from years ago. I'd been to the spot many times and just left because there was never any water where the ramp was or barely any water at all and very high sides when you took the trail that it was hard to land anything unless you wanted to get pretty muddy.

Yeah a lot of people recognize the first spot as a place they used to either party at or go mudding. I actually started going fishing all along that area and there's some good flat head areas when the water is actually up and decent. this year's been a struggle for me just getting out and when I have it hasn't been that great but I hope it turns around for both of us LOL

There's a short trail leading to it to the left of the ramp and yes.. I tried it years ago and didn't really get anything. But, it is up a lot right now and I forgot what it looked like before I just know it was lower a lot lower

I haven't really targeted stranger Creek I have been there but it's been a while. You fish the bank there or do you get there by boat?

@@CatfishKC I've only fished it from the bank. The one time I was going to try it from a boat , I didn't feel comfortable trying to make it there by myself.

Yeah there's probably a lot of places over there to get stuck and it would be nice to have somebody with you on the boat for sure. I'm going to check out Google maps again and see how to get over there and maybe try that again this year

Hey!! I learn something almost every time I go out. I'm going to try and get this boat I'm working on out in the next day or two, and if I don't get it out, I might hit up Bowersock in the next couple days. How often do you go up there to fish.

That's what I've heard about the catwalk. still a really good spot and probably going to get a record out of that spot for sure.

I went out real quick the other day and didn't get bait. I grabbed some shad from the freezer and it actually felt fresh instead of the normal freezer burn and dried out feeling (when I used to just put them in bags). It had a date on it that. was over a year old.. It's not better than using the shad fresh that day, but it's a way to have fairly fresh shad later in the season when it gets hot and it's hard catching them from the bank. It lasts well over a year or more. I'd use it as a last resort after that.
