    You’re right at the cat walk used to fish on a bridge that went across to the plant …. Under throw from the bridge to the front of the dam BIG CATFISH

      I'll have to look the next time I go to see what you are talking about. I know they've done a lot of construction and it's changed. I used to fish different places but now can't. I do try and cast as close to the dam on that end as I can because of that hole that's over there

      Thanks man!! I tried to elude to the way I get there in that spot. Other guys hate when I do haha .. but I just want other people to not struggle getting there. It can be a love hate place when the gar are biting.

      Ya man. It's nice to switch spots when one starts to get old. You already know it, but google maps on satellite mode is nice to see where the river is close to a road.

    Nice blue man. It appeared to have some water flow going on. Several years ago I fished from under the sidewalk the water was very high.

      Thanks man . And Yes!! 😂 the water was moving a little bit. I was glad because I could still see the gar jumping out. I think I remember that several years back where the water was up so high. I fished on the other side of the dam and I was up on the pathway that we used to walk down to the concrete pad. It was the highest I've ever seen it a few years back.

    Hey bud I live in kc too. Happy to see you hauling these big cats in! What pound test line you using for most of these big ones you bring in?

    • @CatfishKC
      @CatfishKC  4 месяца назад

      Thanks man. I typically like to lean towards 40 lb mono but I do have 65 lb braid on some of my real.

      @MoonbeamBenjamin 4 месяца назад +1

      @@CatfishKC nice thanks man. I’ve got 50 lb braid on one of my rigs I just got set up, and thinking about using heavier, that’s why I asked. I think I’ll use up to 65 as well on my next rigs I set up

    • @CatfishKC
      @CatfishKC  4 месяца назад +1

      As long as your reel can handle it that's all good. I realized with 40 lb mono it's thin enough that I can still cast out fairly far. And have a good amount of it on the spool

      @@CatfishKC how do yall get to that area under the 435 bridge in edwardsville? Thought there was an abandoned building we could park at but when I drive by I just see peterbilt. I really want to hit that spot

    How do you get down there? Was in Lawrence and parked down Am Track and saw a homeless camp. Do you park further East of there?

    • @CatfishKC
      @CatfishKC  5 месяцев назад

      If you Google maps that area you'll see the hotel and then to the right of it a parking lot close to the river. I park right there and there are a few trails down to the river, but what I've noticed is easier is walking down the boardwalk that I showed in the video when I was leaving and there's an opening in the fence a little ways down that will lead you right to the closest part of the dam you can get..
