LFP 4680 batteries? A Tesla hybrid? Where is this is erroneous information being gathered from? And the Chinese did NOT invent LFP batteries. They are an American invention which happened in the 1990's and whose rights were most recently owned by a Canadian company and ran out last year. The reason China was able to use it is because they refused to grant the patents there. And the west abandoned it for the higher energy density Nickel variants. I'm not sure of the audience being spoken to at this lecture, but are they aware of this thing called "RUclips"? There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of channels dedicated to EV and their charging. They can see it all for themselves. They can watch it on their phones, their tablets, their computers, their televisions. And you don't have to take your Tesla for any break service. You can simply use them once in a while to keep the rust off. And Lithium is one of the must abundant elements on earth. Being discovered in huge deposits every year. Last year the largest deposit ever discovered was in Bolivia. This year, a discovery in the US topped that by double the amount. PlugShare is NOT an app to follow when on road trips because it points to too many level 2 chargers. Yes, you can filter them out, but it sounds like that would confuse this audience. A Better Route Planner is much better because it does it automatically. But Electrify America has its own app with its own map. So does EVgo. But they need to know that those chargers are not nearly as reliable as Tesla's Supercharger network. Of course, Tesla has the best map and planner. But more and more auto manufacturers are including planners with chargers in their own navigation systems on their EVs. And Tesla opening up their network will be the greatest thing to happen to EV adoption since the founding of Tesla itself. Showing them the Tesla Supercharger map (and how they can look it up) so they see just how many Supercharger locations there are throughout America and Europe might be a good idea.
