I am Alex Iles (pronounced ISLES) and on this channel, you will hear about the history of the British Isles with a particular focus on the North East of England, where I live and work as a tour guide. My passion is to show history, not for history's sake, but to find out more about the human story so we can understand where we have come from as a species and how this impacts us today and in the future. The majority of my content will be in series format with individual episodes telling a story, but as the channel develops I plan on adding stand-alone content.
