    This was excellent. Thank you so much for the time and effort it must have taken to produce. My grandmother's people are from far off to the northwest but learning about this part of Scotland was a wonderful use of time. Bless you.

    There were FOUR member families in Tynedale with the DODDS being the one that made blackmail their speciality... These four families were known as the Four Graynes (equivalent to highland clans). The bit about Kinmont - that was a PELE tower not a bastle. Great video though - well done!

      @@AlexIlesUK It was a bad joke. I'm glad that (or I hope that) you didn't take it too seriously. My ancestry DNA report claims that my DNA is from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and Norway. I am still trying my best to colonize this part of the country, so I don't necessarily take a negative view toward colonization.

    All these channels are same when it comes to calling Kings of Scotland there has never been a King of Scotland it's King of Scots ie King of the Scots people, the King of England is King of the land hence the reason you cannot own land in England. . .

    • @AlexIlesUK
      @AlexIlesUK  13 дней назад

      I made the change. It's important to recognise that the Scots came from Northern Ireland and settled on the west coast of the north of Britain before expanding and conquering the Picts and Britons who were living there. As the bloodlines mixed the current king is the King of England and the King of Scots.

    • @thescotsman1420

      @@AlexIlesUK The Scots did indeed come from Ireland/Eire and settled in Dal Raita/ Argyll and this small area became the 33rd county of Ireland/Eire. . .
