GR YARIS (GRヤリス) ONE OFF OIL COOLER
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.3 года назад
Not happy with what I have seen on the market, too many of them cutting up parts or just overkill. From running on the track in the middle of summer at over 32 Celsius the car just touched the edge of 130 degrees for oil temp. I did not see the need for a large oil cooler, but more of something on the front of the car that would help bring the temps down somewhat. Will not really know until sum...

GR YARIS (GRヤリス) REAR SEAT DELETE AND FRONT RECARO INSTALL
Просмотров 10 тыс.3 года назад
Well the car is becoming more of a track car than I intended, but it does love the track. Rear seat was not much to begin with, so why not take it out. Nice little kit with Carbon Fiber bar and carpet to replace the seat. I was really getting worn out at the track so had to go with a bucket seat finally.

Is all the trimming to crash bar and plastics needed to fit this? Been considering upgrading mine too
Just came across this video of yours as i finally snooping into some light upgrades to mine. Nice video mate, informative. Your detail illustration confirmed my decision to put my budget elsewhere as i m all for function orientated, and frankly the information online doesnt shoe where individual plate goes. Judging on the plate to the air inlet, i am not sure if guiding the air flow further up towards the bonnet would help. May be it does so by pushing the hot air trapped on top through the back of the engine and escaping under... Or not having it at all allowing cool air flow directly to the front of the engine, somehow through turbulence, escape underneath. I dont know, and as such i remain skeptical and will invest over other dept 🙏🏻 cheers.
Did you notice any cooling effect from this plate?
Hello! I also have a GR Yaris. And I also want to replace the steering wheel with a sports one. I was sure that the buttons on the steering wheel would be lost for me. You gave me back my hope! Please tell me where to buy such a plastic thing that you moved the buttons to? Is it sold on yahoo? What is it called so that I can find it? Thank you!
Whats the weight of the recaro seats with the rail?
Good job! But today u can do that stuff with ur handy and an OBD2 plug.
Great video, what engine oil spec do you use?
Om my god, so many cutting and extra works just to upgrade to hks intercooler...not plug and play😅
Hi. Thank you for your video. Does the filter require all the trimmings of the black beam
The front 2 clips hole of the big piece cooling plate may be wrongly placed, I was told two will be on top of the bumper top piece while another two will be at the bottom of bumper top piece. User manual will clarify on this piece of information.
質問です 室内でもよく音がきこえますが 何か加工してますか 私も同じブリッツをつけました
Great video, thanks!
What boss do you use? It was installed when your camera was not recorded
Per hks instructions Ver no 2-1.0A there needs to be 2-3mm clearance between the rubber & new bracket (otherwise there may be noise transmitted into the cabin)
Does the power brace clear the HKS super turbo Exhaust? (from for video on 10 Apr 21 seems u installed the HKS Turbo before the Cusco Power Brace
Thks. I got a GR Yaris with the Cusco Power Brace - is there enough clearance for the bigger 3 inch pipe?
hey mate..I believe your GR comes with heated steering wheels originally. after steering wheel upgrade, do you gets any error about heated steering wheel not functioning anymore?
No errors were given
@@razzjp thank you mate !
weight of the rear seats?
I think we weighed them, but do not remember
how much difference on the oil temps do you have with the oil cooler ?
Good question, I do not remember now. It definitely lowered it some though
Quick question boss, I can see that you got the Recaro lowering seat rail to go along with everything else. I was told that the rail would put you anywhere from 5-10mm to the right. Did you notice this while driving or sitting in the car? I’m quiet OCD and I’m contemplating if I should get a rail custom made or if I bite the bullet and get the Recaro rail. Any info would be insightful
If I remember correctly there is a offset piece that you can get to help with this
Are the holes on the plastic covers already cut from factory to allow the carbon bar to be fitted? Or do we need to cut them?
No cutting needed, it just attaches the the seat holder
Hey was this difficult to install? Do I need power tools to remove the spring-loaded bolts? or can I do it with hand tools?
Super easy, basic tools.
Would that undertray cooling kit interfere with the cusco front power brace?
It did not
This track is so hard on GT7. Top effort in wet 👏
Thanks, it is scary when in the full rain. Heading there on the 25th with my 180sx, should be some fun!
Mate, awesome. I've just ordered the Sparco 323 steering wheel with the OMP spacer, and working on getting Works Bell kit for it now. Can't wait. You're a legend, thanks.
柿本さんの音がその車の本質の音です…
Nice video sir! Is your blitz air intake is fit to nissan note nismo sir?
intake was for the GR Yaris, not I would think that it does not fit other cars
After I installed HKS super turbo I feel lost torque in second and thirds gears, do you feel any power gain after midpipe installed ?
I could not say that I felt any power gains.
@@razzjp I did definitely, especially cut the OPF
Hi there, great video. I have installed mine a month ago, however I couldn't help but notice the left end pipe sticking out a cm - 2cm more compare to the right. There is no jiggle room after I jacked the car up in garage again. Do yours have the same issue? Thanks.
No I did not have that issue.
what recaro model is that one?
RS-G ASM
my gr yaris is rc version . can u tell me what oil spec use for front transfer ? cheers.
Best to use what the manual recommends
Does this work as HKS describes?
Not sure what you mean. I had no issues with it.
Is it easy enough to remove the back seats in any car? I have a Megane 4 Trophy...
Very easy. Couple of bolts, two clips.
Is the OPF delete already installed in this video?
How was your vehicle inspection?
Inspections are after 3 years for a new vehicle then 2 years after that. I have put the car back to normal and sold it, so no worries on. Not to big of a deal removing and installing the back seat though. The clip on the front side of the back seat is kinda a pain.

Thinking about replacing stock seats for full bucket but they have heater and airbag embedded, have you done something special to cancel those?
I unplugged the heater and threw Recaro kit came with a resistor for the air bag
@@razzjp Thanks, easy enough 😉
Hey there I would like to get in touch with you how might this be possible !?
If you could contact me on email benmac@orcon.net.nz as I think I have purchased your car :)
Awesome as always!
My Yaris is from Europe, i installed it but the vmax is still blocked on 230, do i need to do something special or cant the controller go higher than that
Sorry but I am unsure. I actually had to uninstall mine. It was first causing boost issues which Toyota found out for me and then I put it back in and it throws a check engine light but the boost issue did not come back. I can clear the light easily but only install it when I am running on the bigger circuits.
@@razzjp when installing did you need to cut off the battery or not, i translated the japanese description but it gives unclear phrases
I just looked at the instructions and do not see that they say to disconnect the battery.
@@razzjp i installed it new, it works now partly, thx
Which lock you're using for your seat belt? Doesn't look like the normal one from the driver seat. 🤔
Stock seat belts. Mounting point may be a little different with the new seat bracket but definitely oem.

How was your son able to drive on the circuit without a licence? I hope getting to Autopolis one day and would like if my oldest son could take mine for a couple of laps.
Autopolis is totally different. They would not let him run there most likely without a lot of support from my friends or maybe at all, but I run events there that do not require a license so it is easy. As for TS Takata, he has been riding with me for over 6 years and they know him well, he was number one ranked on the racing sim at the track and I was able to get him on the track little by little. I do ride with him though. He has proven to be very good and runs as fast or faster than many of the adults. I pay for him as a driver now so he gets ranked times in my cars. Drifting is the other driving he is into now, depending on the track depends on if he can drive or he would have to demonstrate his skills before he can drive, but some tracks have no issues at all. He shreds the local track with the guys all the time now. Qualified #1 in his first event.
@@razzjp Thank you for your quick and detailed reply, very helpful also understanding. I see you were at Autopolis recently, are the events you run open to anyone as we are in Miyazaki and perhaps could join one day even if my son is just a passenger would be a good start for the both of us.
@@murray3429 your son would not be able to ride at Autopolis, but the REV Speed events are the ones that I go to. Okayama International Circuit has them too. I will hopefully be going there next. My son always goes to Autopolis, but no passengers when racing, even adults. TS Takata Circuit is OK. They did have this drive and ride along one time I went where they had a pace car and we could follow them around the track, not too fast though.
Hi Mike, sorry for the delay!!! I have found the instalation manual !!! It was right in front of my eyes !!! Thank you very much anyway for your hełp !!!
Hi, how are you finding the HKS suspension? Do you know what spring rates ? I'm thinking of getting the IV SP version as I mostly do track days.
Hi, I spend quite a bit of time at the track as well. They definitely make a difference but still streetable. 7k front and 6k rear. The IV are 12k front and 16k rear, that has to be pretty stiff. Hopefully your young, lol.
@@razzjp thanks. I’m thinking of going with 14/16 or 16/18kg. Some track guys using 18 and 24kg 😂 I’ve got a bunch of hks gear and love it. Hks suspension looks great but maybe I should get something from a local company. All the big decisions haha.
I couldn't imagine the 18/24, probably would break my back. There are quite few options now for suspension so look around.
Hi, what is the switch next to i/c water spray button for ?
That is the steering wheel heater. OF course since I have now changed the steering wheel I am not able to use it.
@@razzjp Got it, hey thanks for reply btw. Waiting for more content of your vlog, hoping to watch your lsd change to the aftermarket ones.
@@sorrsham6918 the torsen lsd's work really well, I do not think I would change them. Next big upgrade will be ecu tuning of some sort. Still waiting a little bit for options.
Hi mate, great video! Can you tell me the socket size for the drain and fill plug? are they the same for the rear differential?
Hi, thanks for watching. It is a 10mm allen for both
