I also found some nice upgrade tips on Rötheli's videos, this is one of them. I'm gonna get my exhaust wrapped around rear diff, front grill mesh set, engine undercover with cooling and maybe I/C cooling if higher density front grill mesh messes with the cooling efficiency. Thanks for the video!
Why do you need the defi boost gauge? There’s already a boost gauge on one of the instrument cluster screens (that also gives you oil pressure and oil temp), it’s also one click up/down from the tyre pressure screen so most of the things you’d want to check on track are grouped together. I was pretty impressed. A lot of cars don’t even give you a coolant temp gauge now, let alone a separate oil temp/pressure.
The stock boost Guage does not read properly when you add the DTUK. I like to see what the actual boost is. If you are just running stock, then agree there is no need. I also added the CANhecked so I can get accurate numbers for water and oil Temps, not just a stock indicator.
@@razzjp ah yeah that makes sense given those boxes work by tricking the cars sensors. Litchfield in the U.K. have cracked the ECU now, I think their remap might display the correct boost. I’ll see once I get it done 👀. Probs going to get an android based phone when this iPhone dies, and then get a Bluetooth CAN dongle to display extra gauges on the infotainment display. There’s some awesome apps out there now.
Yes and having true numbers for oil and water temps will be helpful for track days. I am not a fan of the I/C spray though. I used it once at the track, it goes through the water so fast.
@@sorrsham6918 the torsen lsd's work really well, I do not think I would change them. Next big upgrade will be ecu tuning of some sort. Still waiting a little bit for options.
@@razzjp it’s not for track use per say, it’s to cool the intercooler when you’ve been stuck in traffic to get rid of the heat soak. Sit stationary in the car for five minutes until the intake temps climb, then drive at 30mph and see how long the temps take to come down. Repeat the experiment but give the intercooler a couple of sprays before you pull away. The temps will come back down faster. A good upgrade for track use is the Gazoo racing under tray set, it ducts the engine bay and the rear diff areas better, someone measured a 15-20c difference in engine oil temps from it which is massive.
@@Jonathan_Doe_ all cars heat soak in traffic, but obviously you do not need extra power when stuck in traffic. It goes through the water pretty quick and for me seems unnecessary. I already have the under panel, you must not be watching all my videos, lol
@@razzjp Nah I haven’t seen all of them, it’s still useful if you’re in traffic for awhile and then you hit some open road, or you’re staging at a drag/autocross/track event and you want to try to keep the temp creep down…. Although you could repurpose the tank for a water meth injection setup that would be better.
@@Jonathan_Doe_ I like that idea, will be interesting to see where the tuning goes now. I haven't really seen anything since Autotuner cracked the ecu. Would be nice to see some real stock ecu tunes on the dyno.
I’m from spain I see all of your videos!
Their really interesting

Hey we both have GR Yaris and ZC33S 😃 two of the best!
Two very fun cars!

@@razzjp How has the DTUK been treating you? You happy with it? Stage 1 or 2 box?
@@Cernunn0s90 It was OK, but if I did it again, I would just wait for a proper ecu and tune.
You could use the intake temp setting to verify if the I/C water spray function really helps?

Good job! But today u can do that stuff with ur handy and an OBD2 plug.
Hi, what is the switch next to i/c water spray button for ?
That is the steering wheel heater. OF course since I have now changed the steering wheel I am not able to use it.
@@razzjp Got it, hey thanks for reply btw. Waiting for more content of your vlog, hoping to watch your lsd change to the aftermarket ones.

Where did you get power from? The one I got has a fuse splitter connection
I already had a power wire run from the fuse panel for my defi boost Guage and just tapped off it
wow man where did u find the IC Water Spray? The button seems quite original :D Thanks!
Came with the car. Standard option on the RZ HP spec in Japan. I find it worthless, used it on the track once and never again.
