      Yeah you don’t want to have the line clipped in between the metal part of the clip, you want it wedged in between the tubing that’s sticking off the metal. Also you can wrap the line under the clip once before wedging it in to help.

    Sam’s Club has a 5 cu ft for 169 and a 7 cu ft for 219 dollars right now. That’s with warranty. I saw a guy with a set up for live bait that circulated the water in a 250 gallon water reservoir (one of those clear tanks with the metal grid cage around the sides)and the two pumps were circulating the water 3 times a day. One skimmed from the top and the other from the bottom into a big heavy plastic trash can with these scrubbers floating in it to put good bacteria back into the tank but he put suckers and gold fish in it to make that bacteria grow on the scrubbers floating in the trash can with the pump in it. He said the bacteria their poop produced on the scrubbers was necessary to indefinitely keep the fish alive Looked look like a good set up. He had a piece of plexiglass for a lid over the top of one of those 250 water reservoirs.

    • @murph9567
      @murph9567 Год назад

      Could be a few different things. Are you using good water that’s free of any chemicals? Water from the tap in most cities will kill them. How long have you had it running? It usually takes a couple weeks to a month for the biofilter to build up the good bacteria it needs to start cleaning the water properly. Whenever I get mine started back up after not running it for awhile I usually have to let a few die, when his happens they start to release a lot of ammonia into the water, this causes more of the minnows to die but it also gets the filter ready faster. After the first kill off I let the dirty water continue to run through the filter for a couple days, then change half to 3/4 of the water and add minnows back in.
