Another great video. Headed up their tomorrow with the kids. Sounds like it’s changing over to the night bite so hopefully rattle reels will be screaming, lol! Tight lines
U need to get two Catch cover multiflex ice rod holders they work awesome, my jigging setup jigs its self in the rod holder with a little wind or the spring bobber & minnow do it. Another thing that catches more walleyes is SHINERS SHINERS & more SHINERS :) The white demon with the red or pink eye was working great for jig & dead stick & the orange doodle bug works great also! Anyways that's what was working for us, & we usually had limits by 11am but of course still fished till dark for the fun of it. I love fishing Red early ice best walleye fishing of the year for me!
I go out of the public access on the south side near the reservation line. Once the ice is thick enough to drive though I go out of JR’s though. I like the south west accesses as they generally have slightly less people it seems like.
I did before I had the diesel heater, but just to get it warm then I would shut it off. It gets really hot really fast with the buddy, and causes an insane amount of condensation, while the diesel heater keeps it completely dry in there. I have the cabin, tons of room when I’m in there alone, and easily fish 2 people in it as well.

Thanks! I’ll definitely have to pick up shiners next time, usually I just use whatever bait I trap and don’t get shiners much.
Given you worked for outfitters on Red i'm curious where your preferred entry point is for winter angling?

@@murph9567 Is that on the Boundary RD.
Going to red this weekend, how deep do you think i should be looking for?
10-12 feet I’d say to start.
Murph have you ever ran a Buddy heater in there also to get the temp up ?
Which size Otter do you have ? I have the Cottage.

Awesome! Make some more videos!
I’m wanting to, but I’m currently recovering from a broken leg that happened in September. Hoping to get out to red in the next couple weeks though.
