Nice Video! Looks like it won’t break easily, unlike the iFishpro.

Awesome video! I was using a mouse trap as a trigger but after last season and some sore fingers I "copied" your design with the trigger. Thank you for sharing this!!

Mouse trap is a very excellent trigger just pull the kill bar off when you make it as it is not needed. This guy's design is real simple too. Great content, well explained I liked and subscribed!

Thanks for making this tutorial. This is awesome. What line do you recommend, specially if my holes freeze over a lot?

Mono for sure. I like the suffix advanced personally, doesn’t stretch as much as normal mono.

Just made a couple of these. My line is struggling to come out of the clip. Any suggestions on tuning the alligator clip?
    Thnx!

Yeah you don’t want to have the line clipped in between the metal part of the clip, you want it wedged in between the tubing that’s sticking off the metal. Also you can wrap the line under the clip once before wedging it in to help.

Your steel trigger setup will freeze up in a lot of ice fishing conditions. That's why the originals use composite material.
