I actually liked this game. Wanted to 100% it. The only thing I didn't like was the second DLC thing. That kinda bugged me.

Valhalla is a bad AC game. It is a good viking game though. I enjoyed it and just felt like they shouldnt have made it an AC game.

Long games are fine AS LONG as it's ACTUALLY fun and not nust padding. AC current year is the latter Odyssey was SOOOO BOOOORING!!!! for myself every quest just feels like busy work. I always tried coming back every year or so and always wind up quiting after an hour or so. In one quest I had to get an athlete for the Olympics to represent Sparta BUT he wanted oil so I go to get the oil but the NPC who makes it says they can't (I have had to play this section twice and am aware you can persude them) so they tell me how to make it I go get the ingredients and give the athlete the oil only for them to slip into the water and drown then my companions say "well you could take their place..."...................... This game made me waste over an HOUR OF TIME!!! WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE ODYSSEY!?!?!?!? It wastes your time and is boring! Play the Witcher 3 the side quests in it BEAT THE PANTS off any main quest in current asscreed games...

Never listen to the crowd, they will always lead you to where they want you, not where you want to go.

I got into the AC series quite recently and AC unity was my first AC game. I personally really like it. For me the stealth system is really good and does require some more skill than in black flag for example. But I understand when people say they don't like it

This game is the biggest piece of shit I've ever played. The story sucks, the characters suck, the themes and the politics are horrendously pro-monarchy, the stealth is broken, the fighting is broken, the fucking hud and menus are broken, the level design is atrocious and the missions design is idiotic. This is the only game where I'm not angry at Ubisoft but at the developers. You know the nutheads that send death threats for simply not liking a videogame? Now I kinda get them. AC Unity did this to me.

maybe the staff of hermes gives the wielder their immortal body based on the recent memory of what they remember seeing themselves last so the staff of hermes makes you immortal but changes your appearance based on when you last saw yourself

Actually the male voice is considered very charming and very well done I don't know why you think it's not very good. And the reason why people don't like female protagonists lately is because they always try to push him to be way too masculine and basically like a man there is an agenda behind these companies and if you have your blinders on then I guess your sol buddy.

Everyone saying this is a good game....a viking game without one handed swords? Thats your idea of a GOOD GAME? then when they add the stupid swords they put them behind DLC and FILL THE MONEY GRUBBING STORE WITH DIFFERENT SHORT SWORD VARIANTS...but in the game you can only find one that I know of and it was attached to some kinda stupid festival that only lasted 2 weeks...so I missed it of course becouse this isnt a very good game at all so I rarely ever played it. Now I decided to go back to it to see if MAYBE Ubicrap made the game better...aaaand of course they didnt. I mean maybe you could say that if EVERYTHING THEY ADDED OF VALLUE WASNT LOCKED BEHIND A PAYWALL AFTER i PAYED OVER A HUNDRED BUCKS FOR THIS GARBAGE! In order to say that tho you would LITERALLY be part of the reason why games suck now adays. Listen...a game set in the past with weapons should have ONE HANDED SWORDS OF ALL STRIPE! good lord...over 100$ spent on a game set in viking times with NO ONE HANDED SWORDS! removing the 1 button assassination mechanic kinda removes the point of being an assassin. at that point its an adventure game with basic stealth and no one shot.

I'm that one guy who actually looks for content for the first 2 farcry games. I'm glad to see people still talk about these rough gems.

Odyssey is literally the only game I 100%'ed on achievements. I just couldn't quit playing until it was ALL done, across ALL expansions. It had a lot going for it, starting with Kassandra.

After hundreds of hours in Odyssey, Valhalla's movement and combat felt like absolute shit. nothing major, just a bunch of small things adding up to make me quit within the first couple of hours. I might give it another try because I was heavily invested in the continuity and the general lore is very appealing to me.

Honestly, I consider this video to encapsulate a lot of the criticisms, but also all the things I love about Valhalla. It is definitively an assassins creed game, in the same vein as Origin and Odyssey. I love all three, but in different ways. I am glad that I can find a video, like yours, that isn't just another hate filled diatribe about how "doomed" the franchise is, and how the old games were always better. Spoiler alert, we can all have our preferences, and the recent games are not even close to the worst the series has been, in my opinion. In any case, thank you BorangeDunn.

its my favorite AC game, it finally made the RP elements of origins and odysey work proper, didnt feel that constrained by the level things etc, the amount of terrains and zones felt generous and while dark age england is hardly the most thrilling setting, they made it work

If you’re looking for a fun Viking game, AC Valhalla is awesome. If you’re looking for a good Assassin’s Creed game, look elsewhere.

This is far from the worst Assassins Creed. People were just disappointed as it came after Odyssey, which was a lot better.
