His guys are well-trained, his island is not as chaotic as the North One (they made better roads, cut off trees, and are well-organised). Business is good on his side, and he's good at holding what he gets to know to use at a better time (he knew pretty much all along that you weren't Foster and that Sam was up to something). He's kind of a sadist and pretty unhinged but he knows how to handle his business.

Hoyt was honestly my favourite villain from FC3. It was fascinating to see, on an island full of people going completely mad, that the worst one was perfectly sane and organised. Just evil.
I don’t think I ever really paid enough attention to the “I’m not a solider line” consider how much you could fix by changing it to “I was a soldier” boom. Gives him character, explains why he’s duty driven and skilled, they don’t even need to say for what country he fought for!
A super underrated use for the tokens was actually just using them as a free car delivered straight to you. I actually ended up using tokens a lot because I’d just call in a car whenever I was stranded lol.

Sabal and Amita aren’t related, supposedly Amita is from northern Kyrat while Sabal is (possibly) from the south, perhaps that explains why they are so torn on the future direction of Kyrat, perhaps the south was more religious/traditionalist than the north, which in general seem to have fewer monuments and more industrial areas
Yeah I don't know why I always thought they were related. Though I am now wondering how dedicated the members of The Golden Path really are if they will happily flip between leaders with wildly different beliefs....
It's interesting Longinus mentions Goka Falls in FarCry 4 but even in FarCry 3 there's dialogue linking the games. In Badtown you can find a women rambling about being an arms dealer betrayed by the Jackal (she's easy to spot during the mission where you tail Willis). Also in FC3 when you get to Hoyt's island, the privateers sometimes say the line "At least I ain't on the island with the dinosaurs on it" which references FarCry: Instincts.

I think I do remember the dinosaur line though, but I never played the Xbox games so I assumed it was a reference to the Crytek tech demo that eventually became the first Far Cry. I always assumed the Xbox games just had mutants in them.
@@borangedunn Thanks for the response! I just played the Hurk DLC missions for FC3 for the first time, and in those you have to recover Bowa Seko conflict diamonds as well which I didn’t know. But I think like 10 ppl total have actually played the DLC lmfao. And yeah FC: Instincts had a weird amount of lore for the dinosaurs, there are radios you can find in some levels with a debate between a paleontologist who believes in them and a skeptic.

I always though he was Leon Gakumba because his mission made you pick between a priest and your friends, and if I recall you can talk to that priest again later in game, and he mentions that the dude survived your attempt. Makes sense too, only way to get him easy is from 500 yards with a weak marksman rifle. But you might be right.
It really sucks that there was no alternative ending where Ajay becomes ruler of Kyrat and eliminates amita and sabal. It made all you did to "save" Kyrat pretty pointless and even made members of pagans army sympathetical (especially the woman on the radio tower as she was hopless after Pagan leaving). My head cannon is that Ajay became ruler of Kyrat and nuked Montana because Willis and Americas interference in Kyrat. I know it's already hinted that the nukes at montana are from Kyrat but I like to pretend its 100% true
You can get yourself that ending tho... the game has you choose to ice either Sabal or Amita depending which way you went at the temple and then you can finish off Sabal either at the temple after Bhadra's ceremony I guess where she becomes Tarun Matara or finish off Amita I think in Tirtha after the game. I always end both of them let Pagan leave in the chopper and essentially rule Kyrat🫡
I think it's been pretty much confirmed by the ending of the Far Cry 6 Pagan Min DLC "Control" in which he tells Ajay via a radio message/cassette that he has a secret nuclear weapons stash pointed at Montana ("or something " as Pagan puts it)
The weirdest part of this game is that ending the golden path leaders and taking over is the canon ending and pagan isn’t actually the worst person in far cry 4
I remember maxing my wallet in Far Cry 3 and not being able to loot bodies because there was no more room for cash or really anything to spend it on, so having weapons be super pricey and having a hard time making money is honestly a plus in my eyes

Right now I'm re-playing my favorite Far Cry 3-4-5 in turn on the steam deck. After switching from 3 to 4, I was surprised at how significant the graphics leap from the ps3 generation to the ps4 was (it didn't stick in memory at all). Throughout the game, it feels like it was made under the most pleasant impression of the place of travel for the setting, I would say the game even feels "courage".
Mate, you completely forgot Agent Willis Huntley who appears in FC3, FC4 and FC5 and mentions all three protagonists once. in FC6 we have Vaas in the post credits scene. And of course, Hurk.
On the "I'm not a soldier" bit, I think back to the Simpsons, where Bart gets sent to the military academy. "Since you attended public school, I'm going to assume that you're already proficient with small arms."
6:18 Far cry 4 was my first of the series. I bought it just cause of a friend of mine who liked 3, and wanted a coop partner. I must have near 100 hours beaten the campaign 4 times, with a pseudo NG+ (giving my powerfull gear to a friend, and asking for it back once coop was unlocked). And for the core memory well. Once i was 100%ing watch dogs 1, then another friend invited me to his game, we played for 30 mins then he had to leave. And once I was back into WD my game was corrupted, I had access to open world and collectibles, but no money, gear or cars, couldnt access any main or side missions, so yeah, good times. Back when ubi games only had 1 save slot, prolly cause they got carried away with xbox one and ps4 hardware, and forgot they had to fit that in a disc (2 discs, in the case of the 1st WD) Anyhow, looking foward to your video on Far cry 5, also, please try the map editor or arcade, (200 out of mine 240 hours in that game was on arcade)

You said no former games referenced any of the others, but there is a package-finding mission in FC3 in which you follow the blinking light on a handheld GPS, super similar to the FC2 unit. Also, Willis talks about how the synapses go wild out in the jungle and cause a person to be more feral and primal... Which is a strong nod to the original intention of the characters in Heart of Darkness (the book on which FC3 is based). ...and then Jason becomes a literary mirror of Kurtz, both in HoD and Apocalypse Now.
@@insanejugheadyou're right, I just didn't clarify what I meant. I meant more like direct mentions or characters referring to anything or anyone from the older games. For instance, as far as I'm aware, no one talks about Jack Carver or the mutants, and no one talks about the jackal or the civil war from 2. I'm probably wrong though, I mean I didn't play any of the DLCs and that's where we first meet Hurk, apparently!

The "different missions" for picking Sabal/Amita are always the same location with the task required inside that location different. blow up the whatever, save the whatever, go there and save the people, or let them die and then clean up the bad guys because saving them stops you doing whatever thing one of them wants.
You are right in thinking the ending was odd, the original narrative was to have Ajay realize halfway through that Amita and Sabal are as crazy as Pagen and he could choose to side with him and starting recapturing outposts for his side, but this was dropped due to time and budget constraints, that is the reason the game feels odd sometimes, despite having a great gameplay loop, it fails in the story department, because they could not finish it properly. IMHO, there are a lot of games which had amazing things about them, which were left unfinished due to time/money.
In modern Far Cry games money is only scares in the beginning. Later your wallet is constanly overflowing. Last time I played Far Cry 4 through I learner that most weapons are not unlocked in your travels but during story progression. Everytime you finish a milestone in the story, a new batch is unlocked to buy. In my opinion Far Cry 4 still has the best weapon roster. Attention sniper fans: Once you beat Yuma, the AS-50 is unlocked.
I've been really enjoying these and have been listening to them at work. I appreciate how much work seems to go into them in such a short amount of time because not many content creators can make whole hour vids so quickly with a job and without a team. Or maybe you're just good at talking and you can script an hour long video quickly because you're not a boring twat. Whatever it is, I am enjoying these a lot, even though you're objectively wrong in rating this one so low.
I recently picked up the game again and managed to platinum it(Online trophies was a pain). One of the most surprising things I enjoyed this time around was the radio. I've played this game three times since it was released, but when I was younger, I didn't pay much attention to the details. The radio in this game is just top-notch. There are so many cool details and cameo mentions, like Scarface and I think Walter White. I also appreciated how even the small side content had cutscenes and voice acting, something Far Cry 3 didn't have. Far Cry 3 is still my favorite in the series, but after platinuming Far Cry 4, I definitely have a newfound appreciation for this game. And let's not forget the biggest crime of all - not being able to romance Amita! Curse you, Ubisoft! 😢
Some will say Far Cry 3 was the best, but for me this is the #1. A lot of it has to do with the amazing himalayan setting. And Rabi Rana was my favorite radio talkshow host.
As the farcry series went on, the gameplay got better, but the story and reason to play got worse. Farcry 3 and 4 is the best Miss the farcry 4 online mode But farcry 4 makes me wanna play farcry 5, but when I play farcry 5, it makes me wanna go back to 3 and 4
@borangedunn 3 and blood dragon had me hooked. And Farcry 4 was a must buy when I heard about it. I think the console versions of Farcry 4 had 5 or 10 keys where you could give to anybody to download and play for free for 2 hours each key. And I never used mines until I told a friend about it last year and my brother who I got into it starting with 4 using the last keys I had, then I shared my account for us to play Farcry 5 now he's into it. And brat farcry 6 before I did. He still has to help me platinum Farcry 3 through co-op story mode (separate from the single-player mode) he never played Farcry 3, so hopefully, he'll enjoy it without the nostalgia goggles

Hey! Love this video! Just played Far Cry 4 again last month thoroughly. I gotta disagree with you on money being scarce (39:20) as you progress through the game. I kept looting boxes and selling the items I found in those boxes (plus takedowns and looting).
The side arm isnt a a down side because the 1 hand grenade laucher exist and if you dont like that the d2 is the strongest shotgun in the game plus the crossbow is the best cclose range stealth gun

It's no Farcry 1 but FC4 was definitely a fun entry and felt like it knew it's DNA better than any that came after it. It was a great follow-up to the madness of FC3 and FC2. The games that came afterward are so full of bullsnot and were pretty boring in my opinion.
There should be one more plot to play from pagan min side to get the throne of kyrat they have to eradicate all golden path. That plot should be more playful and enjayable. If ubisoft made it in that two way path chose game
Loved far cry 4, story in 3 was better, 5 was a mess, and 6 was overstuffed, lazily written, and unsatisfying to complete, but it was a good looking game and fun to play, but repetitive. Good job on the video though, put a little more of personality into it and it’d be a great one. Threw a like and subscribed regardless 👍 keep it up

I read the quote in the article and I think the reporter misinterpreted it, whether intentionally or not. That part you could have ended the game. Bro i swear i almost did that without knowing it. I started the game while i was eating. I couldnt use my mouse and keyboard. I stayed there for like 8 minutes then i started moving. I remember pagan told me to wait. But i think i was too excited to play it.
I understand farcry 3 will always be “better” but 4 to me is so special and the environment and story is more interesting to me personally the helpless endings of the game both choices being bad the vibe of the game genuinely made me feel like I was in a North Korea type government state it felt more realistic

You're right! The story behind the original Far Cry being made is pretty interesting in itself! I covered a bit of it in my video on that game a few months back, but there's plenty of other bits I missed. And no, I won't be covering the Xbox games, mainly because I don't have the means to play them.
Far cry 5 is the _very Best,_ by far, with Far Cry 4 as a close second. 6 makes me never want to even _try_ any future Far Cry's. They ruined everything in 6. The biggest general problem is emersion. There are a thousand little things, but they all add up to a game that's barely playable, and not even in the same league as the previous few Far Cry's. There _are_ actually a few good changes that FC6 made, so I'll start with those (but they'd only be cool if they were _in addition to_ everything that made FC5 so great: super-steep hills you can actually walk up (this would've been _amazing_ in FC5; being able to slide _all the way down_ steep slopes (almost as good as wingsuiting off mountains); the c addition of Horses (again, would've been _Awesome_ in FC5); the addition of cameras as an extra security measure (cool, but would've been much better if there were a guards in a room with TV moniters, where you'd have to take them out, or if you merely shot the camera(s) out, they'd radio to someone about it; a much bigger Map(?), yes, good, bit the problem is the map is all fluff. That's all i can think of atm tm involving _good_ ideas. Here are just some of the problems with FC6 off the top of my head, but there are _wayyy_ more: You can't throw rocks(wtF); when enemies die, their guns magically disappear (by design, not glitch), and yet _other rebels_ can pick up the magically-disappeared weapons from a corpse (?!?); they took crafting wayyy too far (New Dawn was already the maximum tolerable level of crafting); they _Ruined_ Enemy-Tagging (it either looks like a radioactive cartoon outline, or if you turn it off, enemies are too hard to see in an environment with little to no depth perception); perks are not stackable or challenge-based (it's just clothing you automatically find with bullshit perks attached); they won't stop saying _"Gahhh-Rrrrreeee-Aahh"_ in every cinematic (Guerilla) in an overly-exaggerated caricature manner (total cringe); they took away the M-79's sidearm-status (that's a mandatory Far-Cry basic); they made every weapon available in the middle of battle, as if the character is carrying 100 guns around in a backpack- Oh Wait- he doesn't even _have a backpack,_ because instead he has that _cringe-as-fack_ "Sue-Pray-Moe" thing, which is embarrassing to say the least; they made the button-inputs hyper-sensitive (took me a hundred tries just to initiate a melee take-down [X-Box 1, didn't matter which controller, whether it's new or old], because it doesn't just accept "any old click" of the Right Stick 🎮🕹, it has to be performed _exactly,_ down to the milisecond, of how long you clicked for (this means sprinting into a takedown is out ofv the question, because it's so _incredibly_ unlikely it'll work, I did this as my normal play-style, sprinting into takedowns without breaking stealth in FC4, 5, and New Dawn, without any problems, yet i just _cannot_ make it happen in FC6; the scenery colors and textures are cartoonish as hell, and the graphics at a distance are 1990's Nintendo-level, which are even worse if you zoom in; they got rid of the plant-based temporary perks (from plants) that should be on the secondary weapon-wheel (this is a Far-Cry standard); they ruined knife-throwing; the Map totally sucks- can't zoom out enough, can't zoom in enough, there are only 3 specific zoom levels (no in-between levels of zoom) can't tilt the map to see elevation, can't see rivers (they're the same shades of green as fields and forests), and if you zoom out all the way, the map turns into a cereal-box cartoon with no locations or terrain _at all_ ); the main menu has a mouse-cursor, instead of simply highlighted selections that you move up and down like normal (mouse cursors don't belong on an XBOX-1 unless you're playing Age of Empires or something like that); there's no save button (wtF?!?); The [very shitty] Map takes at least 8-10 seconds to load every single time (that's an eternity for explorer-type/ completionist players like me who are constantly pulling up the map); they ruined the way-point thing, where in FC6 it's just paratheses on the map now instead of a point (on the map that doesn't Zoom in enough in the first place), and if the way point is less than, like 500m away, it doesn't impose on the screen while you're running around, it's only a general compass-heading on the mini-map (one reason this is annoying is because in previous FarCrys, you could use way points as a sort of range-finder, like mark a building on the map, and then you can see that the enemy standing there is 80 meters away or whatever, which helps with shooting a bow for example); they ruined the weapon stats, the system is overly-complicated and wildly inaccurate; and much, much more. I hope UbiSoft goes back to the base model, and worries more about emersion than simply changing things for the sake of change. They could literally make a spinoff of Far Cry 5, with a different Eden's Gate "chapter," like in the Mountains of a West Virginia, with new characters and backstories, happening concurrently with Far Cry 5, _and that would be Wayyy Better_ than Far Cry 6. Seriously. They could make some kind of plot connection to Hope County, and write the story on how the nuclear thing happened, add in politicians, corruption, two or more main story maps.... and Bam- they'd have another masterpiece. There's a much bigger story to tell there, along with the perfect style of gameplay. Hope county gets cut off for weeks (tunnels, phone lines), and _No one notices?_ A nationwide anarchist collapse, and/or a foreign attack/ infiltration(?)- it's all _already there,_ a whole-nother story. From what I've heard about a far Cry 7, i definitely will not buy it. A 24-hour timer? Seriously? That's _Not_ "open world."
Best cope for the PC of 4 is perhaps hes a cop. Therefore he could use weapons and not be a soldier..... But the game never implies that but........ Its a solution

No I said I liked the music (except for that one track when you start attacking Pagan's Palace), but I did say that the game would keep playing the wrong music for what I was doing, like playing action music when I'm sneaking around and such.
You're not the first person to question me on this, so I must have worded it poorly in the video. Other than that one licensed track when you start attacking Pagan's Palace, I like the music in the game. But sometimes it plays the wrong music at the wrong time, like playing high-tempo action music when I'm sneaking around scouting a base. That's why I kept turning it off.
@@borangedunn I know which mission and music felt off. Some of them are a bit weird in terms of what sounds they use. But like 90% of the music is spot on, complimenting the action and the environment giving a majestic feeling to the vibe of the gameplay. The ambient music especially is masterpieceful. There is a reason this games music got awards.

When I learned Far Cry 4 will be in the Himalayas, I was actually pretty unhappy about it. When I played it though, it was a nice world to be in.

You can get yourself that ending tho... the game has you choose to ice either Sabal or Amita depending which way you went at the temple and then you can finish off Sabal either at the temple after Bhadra's ceremony I guess where she becomes Tarun Matara or finish off Amita I think in Tirtha after the game. I always end both of them let Pagan leave in the chopper and essentially rule Kyrat🫡

I think it's been pretty much confirmed by the ending of the Far Cry 6 Pagan Min DLC "Control" in which he tells Ajay via a radio message/cassette that he has a secret nuclear weapons stash pointed at Montana ("or something " as Pagan puts it)
The weirdest part of this game is that ending the golden path leaders and taking over is the canon ending and pagan isn’t actually the worst person in far cry 4
I remember maxing my wallet in Far Cry 3 and not being able to loot bodies because there was no more room for cash or really anything to spend it on, so having weapons be super pricey and having a hard time making money is honestly a plus in my eyes

Right now I'm re-playing my favorite Far Cry 3-4-5 in turn on the steam deck. After switching from 3 to 4, I was surprised at how significant the graphics leap from the ps3 generation to the ps4 was (it didn't stick in memory at all). Throughout the game, it feels like it was made under the most pleasant impression of the place of travel for the setting, I would say the game even feels "courage".
Mate, you completely forgot Agent Willis Huntley who appears in FC3, FC4 and FC5 and mentions all three protagonists once. in FC6 we have Vaas in the post credits scene. And of course, Hurk.

6:18 Far cry 4 was my first of the series. I bought it just cause of a friend of mine who liked 3, and wanted a coop partner. I must have near 100 hours beaten the campaign 4 times, with a pseudo NG+ (giving my powerfull gear to a friend, and asking for it back once coop was unlocked).
And for the core memory well. Once i was 100%ing watch dogs 1, then another friend invited me to his game, we played for 30 mins then he had to leave. And once I was back into WD my game was corrupted, I had access to open world and collectibles, but no money, gear or cars, couldnt access any main or side missions, so yeah, good times. Back when ubi games only had 1 save slot, prolly cause they got carried away with xbox one and ps4 hardware, and forgot they had to fit that in a disc (2 discs, in the case of the 1st WD)
Anyhow, looking foward to your video on Far cry 5, also, please try the map editor or arcade, (200 out of mine 240 hours in that game was on arcade)

You said no former games referenced any of the others, but there is a package-finding mission in FC3 in which you follow the blinking light on a handheld GPS, super similar to the FC2 unit.
Also, Willis talks about how the synapses go wild out in the jungle and cause a person to be more feral and primal... Which is a strong nod to the original intention of the characters in Heart of Darkness (the book on which FC3 is based).
...and then Jason becomes a literary mirror of Kurtz, both in HoD and Apocalypse Now.
@@insanejugheadyou're right, I just didn't clarify what I meant. I meant more like direct mentions or characters referring to anything or anyone from the older games. For instance, as far as I'm aware, no one talks about Jack Carver or the mutants, and no one talks about the jackal or the civil war from 2. I'm probably wrong though, I mean I didn't play any of the DLCs and that's where we first meet Hurk, apparently!

The "different missions" for picking Sabal/Amita are always the same location with the task required inside that location different. blow up the whatever, save the whatever, go there and save the people, or let them die and then clean up the bad guys because saving them stops you doing whatever thing one of them wants.
You are right in thinking the ending was odd, the original narrative was to have Ajay realize halfway through that Amita and Sabal are as crazy as Pagen and he could choose to side with him and starting recapturing outposts for his side, but this was dropped due to time and budget constraints, that is the reason the game feels odd sometimes, despite having a great gameplay loop, it fails in the story department, because they could not finish it properly. IMHO, there are a lot of games which had amazing things about them, which were left unfinished due to time/money.
In modern Far Cry games money is only scares in the beginning. Later your wallet is constanly overflowing. Last time I played Far Cry 4 through I learner that most weapons are not unlocked in your travels but during story progression. Everytime you finish a milestone in the story, a new batch is unlocked to buy. In my opinion Far Cry 4 still has the best weapon roster.
Attention sniper fans: Once you beat Yuma, the AS-50 is unlocked.
I've been really enjoying these and have been listening to them at work. I appreciate how much work seems to go into them in such a short amount of time because not many content creators can make whole hour vids so quickly with a job and without a team.

my first far cry game, i was probably 11 playng this and to this day its one of my favorite games of all time
I recently picked up the game again and managed to platinum it(Online trophies was a pain). One of the most surprising things I enjoyed this time around was the radio. I've played this game three times since it was released, but when I was younger, I didn't pay much attention to the details. The radio in this game is just top-notch. There are so many cool details and cameo mentions, like Scarface and I think Walter White. I also appreciated how even the small side content had cutscenes and voice acting, something Far Cry 3 didn't have. Far Cry 3 is still my favorite in the series, but after platinuming Far Cry 4, I definitely have a newfound appreciation for this game. And let's not forget the biggest crime of all - not being able to romance Amita! Curse you, Ubisoft! 😢
Some will say Far Cry 3 was the best, but for me this is the #1. A lot of it has to do with the amazing himalayan setting. And Rabi Rana was my favorite radio talkshow host.

@borangedunn 3 and blood dragon had me hooked. And Farcry 4 was a must buy when I heard about it. I think the console versions of Farcry 4 had 5 or 10 keys where you could give to anybody to download and play for free for 2 hours each key. And I never used mines until I told a friend about it last year and my brother who I got into it starting with 4 using the last keys I had, then I shared my account for us to play Farcry 5 now he's into it. And brat farcry 6 before I did. He still has to help me platinum Farcry 3 through co-op story mode (separate from the single-player mode) he never played Farcry 3, so hopefully, he'll enjoy it without the nostalgia goggles

Hey! Love this video! Just played Far Cry 4 again last month thoroughly. I gotta disagree with you on money being scarce (39:20) as you progress through the game. I kept looting boxes and selling the items I found in those boxes (plus takedowns and looting).

It's no Farcry 1 but FC4 was definitely a fun entry and felt like it knew it's DNA better than any that came after it. It was a great follow-up to the madness of FC3 and FC2. The games that came afterward are so full of bullsnot and were pretty boring in my opinion.
There should be one more plot to play from pagan min side to get the throne of kyrat they have to eradicate all golden path. That plot should be more playful and enjayable. If ubisoft made it in that two way path chose game

Loved far cry 4, story in 3 was better, 5 was a mess, and 6 was overstuffed, lazily written, and unsatisfying to complete, but it was a good looking game and fun to play, but repetitive. Good job on the video though, put a little more of personality into it and it’d be a great one. Threw a like and subscribed regardless 👍 keep it up

@@Letsgoooo864 So there was an IGN article from a couple of years ago where the reporter took what the FC 2 director said as confirmation that Jack is The Jackal. I read the quote in the article and I think the reporter misinterpreted it, whether intentionally or not. I talked about it in my Far Cry 2 video and there's a link to the article in the description over there.
That part you could have ended the game. Bro i swear i almost did that without knowing it. I started the game while i was eating. I couldnt use my mouse and keyboard. I stayed there for like 8 minutes then i started moving. I remember pagan told me to wait. But i think i was too excited to play it.
I understand farcry 3 will always be “better” but 4 to me is so special and the environment and story is more interesting to me personally the helpless endings of the game both choices being bad the vibe of the game genuinely made me feel like I was in a North Korea type government state it felt more realistic

The reason far cry 1 isn't mentioned is apparently because it was made by the same people that made crysis and was a prototype for crysis. That's why the tone feels so off from all the other games. Also are you going to review the pair of far cry one spinoffs for the xbox Instincts and Evolution?
You're right! The story behind the original Far Cry being made is pretty interesting in itself! I covered a bit of it in my video on that game a few months back, but there's plenty of other bits I missed.
And no, I won't be covering the Xbox games, mainly because I don't have the means to play them.

Far cry 5 is the _very Best,_ by far, with Far Cry 4 as a close second. 6 makes me never want to even _try_ any future Far Cry's. They ruined everything in 6. The biggest general problem is emersion. There are a thousand little things, but they all add up to a game that's barely playable, and not even in the same league as the previous few Far Cry's. There _are_ actually a few good changes that FC6 made, so I'll start with those (but they'd only be cool if they were _in addition to_ everything that made FC5 so great: super-steep hills you can actually walk up (this would've been _amazing_ in FC5; being able to slide _all the way down_ steep slopes (almost as good as wingsuiting off mountains); the c addition of Horses (again, would've been _Awesome_ in FC5); the addition of cameras as an extra security measure (cool, but would've been much better if there were a guards in a room with TV moniters, where you'd have to take them out, or if you merely shot the camera(s) out, they'd radio to someone about it; a much bigger Map(?), yes, good, bit the problem is the map is all fluff. That's all i can think of atm tm involving _good_ ideas.
Here are just some of the problems with FC6 off the top of my head, but there are _wayyy_ more:
You can't throw rocks(wtF); when enemies die, their guns magically disappear (by design, not glitch), and yet _other rebels_ can pick up the magically-disappeared weapons from a corpse (?!?); they took crafting wayyy too far (New Dawn was already the maximum tolerable level of crafting); they _Ruined_ Enemy-Tagging (it either looks like a radioactive cartoon outline, or if you turn it off, enemies are too hard to see in an environment with little to no depth perception); perks are not stackable or challenge-based (it's just clothing you automatically find with bullshit perks attached); they won't stop saying _"Gahhh-Rrrrreeee-Aahh"_ in every cinematic (Guerilla) in an overly-exaggerated caricature manner (total cringe); they took away the M-79's sidearm-status (that's a mandatory Far-Cry basic); they made every weapon available in the middle of battle, as if the character is carrying 100 guns around in a backpack- Oh Wait- he doesn't even _have a backpack,_ because instead he has that _cringe-as-fack_ "Sue-Pray-Moe" thing, which is embarrassing to say the least; they made the button-inputs hyper-sensitive (took me a hundred tries just to initiate a melee take-down [X-Box 1, didn't matter which controller, whether it's new or old], because it doesn't just accept "any old click" of the Right Stick 🎮🕹, it has to be performed _exactly,_ down to the milisecond, of how long you clicked for (this means sprinting into a takedown is out ofv the question, because it's so _incredibly_ unlikely it'll work, I did this as my normal play-style, sprinting into takedowns without breaking stealth in FC4, 5, and New Dawn, without any problems, yet i just _cannot_ make it happen in FC6; the scenery colors and textures are cartoonish as hell, and the graphics at a distance are 1990's Nintendo-level, which are even worse if you zoom in; they got rid of the plant-based temporary perks (from plants) that should be on the secondary weapon-wheel (this is a Far-Cry standard); they ruined knife-throwing; the Map totally sucks- can't zoom out enough, can't zoom in enough, there are only 3 specific zoom levels (no in-between levels of zoom) can't tilt the map to see elevation, can't see rivers (they're the same shades of green as fields and forests), and if you zoom out all the way, the map turns into a cereal-box cartoon with no locations or terrain _at all_ ); the main menu has a mouse-cursor, instead of simply highlighted selections that you move up and down like normal (mouse cursors don't belong on an XBOX-1 unless you're playing Age of Empires or something like that); there's no save button (wtF?!?); The [very shitty] Map takes at least 8-10 seconds to load every single time (that's an eternity for explorer-type/ completionist players like me who are constantly pulling up the map); they ruined the way-point thing, where in FC6 it's just paratheses on the map now instead of a point (on the map that doesn't Zoom in enough in the first place), and if the way point is less than, like 500m away, it doesn't impose on the screen while you're running around, it's only a general compass-heading on the mini-map (one reason this is annoying is because in previous FarCrys, you could use way points as a sort of range-finder, like mark a building on the map, and then you can see that the enemy standing there is 80 meters away or whatever, which helps with shooting a bow for example); they ruined the weapon stats, the system is overly-complicated and wildly inaccurate; and much, much more.
I hope UbiSoft goes back to the base model, and worries more about emersion than simply changing things for the sake of change. They could literally make a spinoff of Far Cry 5, with a different Eden's Gate "chapter," like in the Mountains of a West Virginia, with new characters and backstories, happening concurrently with Far Cry 5, _and that would be Wayyy Better_ than Far Cry 6. Seriously. They could make some kind of plot connection to Hope County, and write the story on how the nuclear thing happened, add in politicians, corruption, two or more main story maps.... and Bam- they'd have another masterpiece. There's a much bigger story to tell there, along with the perfect style of gameplay. Hope county gets cut off for weeks (tunnels, phone lines), and _No one notices?_ A nationwide anarchist collapse, and/or a foreign attack/ infiltration(?)- it's all _already there,_ a whole-nother story. From what I've heard about a far Cry 7, i definitely will not buy it. A 24-hour timer? Seriously? That's _Not_ "open world."

You're not the first person to question me on this, so I must have worded it poorly in the video. Other than that one licensed track when you start attacking Pagan's Palace, I like the music in the game. But sometimes it plays the wrong music at the wrong time, like playing high-tempo action music when I'm sneaking around scouting a base. That's why I kept turning it off.
@@borangedunn I know which mission and music felt off. Some of them are a bit weird in terms of what sounds they use. But like 90% of the music is spot on, complimenting the action and the environment giving a majestic feeling to the vibe of the gameplay. The ambient music especially is masterpieceful. There is a reason this games music got awards.
@@borangedunn by the way the only music in the game that also bothers me is the one in the bridge to the north. After you blow up the gate, the music is just weird and I also turn it off. Everything else I'm fine with.
