Hot take: If AC Rogue had way more developement time (3 years, 10 months and 4 weeks at maximum) and had a similar budget to the one of AC Unity, it would have been the best AC game of the whole franchise
I actually liked the flipped storyline. I took it as neither the Templars nor the Assassins are good guys or bad guys, both do good things and both do bad things. If you think this is a lazy story, it shows how underrated the story actually is. As far as the 'I make my own luck' thing, it's meant to be somewhat abrasive. He has a massive chip on his shoulder and is somewhat insecure. Everything he had been taught had been turned upside down.
Now I can see why you would think that and it’s simply because the assassins motivation in this game is dumb and not well written why wouldn’t Achilles take Shays allegations seriously tell him to calm down and they’ll talk about it when he can convey what happened without being so hot headed. Hope or Liam could’ve asked him what happened. It seems no one actually likes shay and tolerate his existence. The assassins act like templars too
I personally love this game but I understood all your critiques. Would’ve loved it if they made Shay and the Templars more evil so we could be rooting against the person we’re playing as. Kind of like what The Last of Us 2 did.
I remember the playing this on release and finding it tiring since it was the same gameplay from black flag and freedom cry and honestly those games are improvements on AC3s engine so it felt stale. This year I decided to replay AC3 but thought it’d be interesting to run through rogue first since it’s a connected prequel. I came to a similar conclusion. The gameplay was really enjoyable and hunting assassins and protecting targets was good fun! The story is a bit lackluster but I found it quite serviceable and would definitely recommend.
i personally loved this one when i played it as the story felt very fleshed out and as u say a proper dignified villain
My favorite game of all-time.
What are some of your favorite things in the game?

"I make my own luck" is a great line

@@darkdog42 when ideologies become extreme, that is far left or far right, it's impossible to distinguish them, they are essentially the same.
Playing the remastered version of this now, very underrated, got remastered version of 3 to go aswell after, love the keyway saga.
Man, I've been watching your FC and AC videos, and they're all so good.
Nicely done brilliant walkthrough
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
@@borangedunnGreat Content on the Channel and by the way I'm a gamer too want to know if you're interested in Collaboration

That would be pointless.
Interesting review. Thanks!
Great retrospective and explanations. That music got me floating but it’s a bit repetitive maybe if you could turn it down a tad in future videos ?

Finding the ingredients to make our own luck is never easy. Never being scolded for killing innocents helps.
Background music sucks IMO . Hope you can change it .
I absolutely love this game. It's a masterpiece to me.
I really like Rogue but it sits fairly mid table for me. There’s just several I like more. One of my favourite series.
I always thought Rogue was AC4 DLC 😂😂😂
Thanks for hyping up my favorite AC game
