People are tackling the issue all wrong. The problem is that women are WAY too often sexually exploited in horror for shock value, and it tends to get redundant, especially since women are disproportionately the victims of sexual violence in real life. The answer isn’t censorship, though- it’s to even the playing field, which is what Outlast was great at doing in the first 1.5 games. I want to see the same gratuitous sexual exploitation of men in horror until there is an equal amount of it in the genre. The crap in this game just makes me roll my eyes because it’s cheap and boring and reminds me of a PETA stunt. Outlast used to be one of the few pieces of horror media with the balls to change things up and actually exploit men so I’m just disappointed lol.

I don't know if anyone has ever expressed that or felt this way. But it's for the best that they cut a lot of the Colossi off the game. Dude, the original number of Colossi is just ridiculous, have you played the game before? It's great and fun I love it. But that crazy amount of Colossi would just be boring and grindy, just annoying to play I'm sure. So I think it's good that a lot of them were cut from the game, the statues and things on the map pointing to the existence of more Colossi but they being nowhere to be found, and all the crazy lore of the game, just added more to the mystery of the game. Yes, some of the boss battles we could have had could be insane, the Colossi memorable. But I think that the amount we got on the game is just enough.
