From what I've seen of Franco, he seems to be using a sawed-off shotgun. Funny enough, the mafia often call it a "Lupara", and since Franco's a member of the mafia, he would've use this weapon as a hitman.
When i heard lupa i first thought he was raised by wolves, however i do like the certain twist. It makes sense he serve as the mafia main guy sent as a hitman, but also is kinda a problem for his dad since he very much was spoilt and just does what ever he wants to do, also he very likely more intelligent then he acts, since he knows how to use and maintain a shotgun with ammo. Also his nickname "il Bambino" remind me of a song in spain about a chareter called Bambino, who was a naughty child that never listen to there parents, the song itself was often sung to children in spain. I dont know if that is close to italy just wanted to say it remind me. Also i can imagine a level with Lupa that has giant toys enacting gruesome scenes with Italian opera. Be good for Christmas
Franco "Il Bambino" Barbi would make a good Batman villain. As if Gotham City needed one more psychopath to add to Batman's Rogues Gallery straight out of Arkham Asylum.
Well I played against Franco today and did the trial and I can tell you he's a really dangerous Prime asset. Plus his sawn off dosen't do much damage from far away thankfully and he can miss but up close he deal a lot of damage against you. Plus they actually gave his shotgun spread so if you're far enough away the shots will spread but won't always hit you and the shots deal less damage from far away so if 1 pellet from his shot hits you it only does a tiny bit of damage but up close it takes away a full bar of health.
I have a feeling he was born deformed. But still being part of a mafia family he is very child like in his behavior and seeks approval constantly from his parents? I could be looking at it wrongly.
I honestly think Franco wasn't that great of an addition to the game he is more annoying than ever especially when he shoots you from across the map when you are more than 20-30 feet from him and often runs directly to you anytime he is in a trial during escalations or in psycho therapy missions, he is a big nuisance.

Fun fact: The rounds he uses in his shotgun are loaded with TEETH.
