    Have there been any catastrophic failures such as the roll pin breaking on this gun? I have heard that you may need to change out the black striker guide and spring cups with the white nylon ones used in the VE series to get rid of misfires that sometimes occur.

    I've been a gunsmith for 43 years, a police officer and armorer for 39 years. I bought one of these and started having problems the first time I took it to the range. I tore it down, studied the design, then put it back together and started troubleshooting. When I figured the issues out I contacted Canik, who aren't interested in speaking to me. The repairs aren't difficult, and would cost nothing except reworking a little tooling to make slight changes. I was able to troubleshoot and repair for about $15, that wasn't making anything it was buying parts available through the aftermarket. I actually was able to modify original parts to work, but I felt better replacing them with aftermarket parts. The pistol is 100% reliable now. The heavier recoil spring is a band-aid solution that masks the real issue, and costs Canik a LOT more than the real fix. It could compromise reliability when shooting lower power ammunition also.

    • @theBucketshallnotbeinfringed
      @theBucketshallnotbeinfringed 6 дней назад

      It is very sad. Canik spent years building a reputation of building solid firearms. And they are letting that all erode away on this firearm. Thanks for supporting the channel

    Does the front of the grip have the bowed outward elliptical shape (as if to accommodate the front of the bullet) most 1911s have or is the front of the grip a bit flatter than usual? The only example I can give is the Taurus PT-1911 where the front of the grip is flattish.

    Kinda funny how the LCP Max was best in its class and got nothing but praise until the bodyguard 2.0 came out and suddenly everyone is posting videos about how uncomfortable and inaccurate it is😂…. This is not a dig on you or your channel, I have seen at least 7 other 2A channels do a 180 on the lcp max in favor of the 2.0… it is kind of ridiculous.

    • @roadking681
      @roadking681 17 дней назад

      I agree, Amen to that. I rented The bodyguard 2.0 and I can barely get my bare finger through the trigger guard and it did not shoot any better than my LCP Max. I love my LCP max. The LCP Max has a nice big trigger guard I can put my finger through it when I'm wearing my motorcycle glove, I cannot put my finger through the 2.0 with my motorcycle glove on so the 2.0 is obsolete for me because I am a biker. The LCP Max is also a smaller firearm which makes it concealed even better in my pocket it is significantly smaller than the 2.0. the magazines are easier to load on the LCP Max. I've got over a thousand rounds through my LCP Max and it has been flawless and I love it. What you said is exactly true that's why I do not go by the opinion of RUclipsrs I go and I do my own research and I rent the gun and shoot it before I purchase one for myself.

    @hansgruber6381 19 дней назад

    I don't like shooting it either, but it remains my edc because it's the easiest to carry. I'm looking into the bodyguard 2.0, but a lot of reviews mention the same problems you brought up here - unfortunately, there are only 2 options. Like picking a cell phone carrier, which is the least worst

      @theBucketshallnotbeinfringed 19 дней назад

      One of the first reviews I did was on a LCP2, and while it was not a fun gun to shoot it was reliable and accurate. I was shocked at how inaccurate and miserable to shoot for me. Usually Ruger's stuff is so much better. But I understand why people are drawn to this gun. Thanks for supporting the channel!

    Just bought one on 11/27 It came with 4-17 round magazines and 1-15 round magazine and came with a Viridian RFX11 Green Dot. I paid $585 and really like the pistol. What I don't like? Viridian RFX11 is made of polymer not aluminum and you need to remove it to replace the battery at the base of the unit. The Croatian made pistols are the only Springfield pistols I haven't had any issues with. I've owned and shot a lot of firearms over the last 50 years.

    Just received this back from Century Arms with the issues I have had with mine. Thank you for contacting Century Arms. The TTI Combat pistol includes two recoil springs, a standard recoil spring installed in the pistol and a bronze low force recoil spring separately included in the case (marked with an “L”). The standard recoil spring is designed for standard factory 115gr, 124gr, and defensive style ammunition. The low force recoil spring is designed for use with low power competition ammunition, typically custom loads with a lower power factor. The TTI Combat does have a break in period up to 150 rounds. For this break in period, we recommend using the standard spring with higher pressure factory ammunition, typically including 124gr 9mm or 124gr 9mm NATO. We are sending you a high force performance recoil spring (marked with an “H”). This recoil spring is ideal for use with certain high-power loads, or in situations where a high weight recoil spring is needed. If during shooting (after the break in period) you experience the pistol not seating fully, please use this high force performance recoil spring. Please note in an instance where your slide may not fully seat, remove your finger from the trigger guard and gently bump the back of the slide with your opposite hand. If you continue to notice your slide not fully seating, stop firing, and contact customer service to send back your firearm for inspection by the Canik gunsmith team. The TTI Combat pistol was designed alongside Taran Butler as a high-performance competition pistol. In many cases, these pistols are designed for special ammunition loads, where the user would tailor the recoil spring weights for different loads and types of ammunition. Comparatively, the TTI Combat was designed for use with a large variety of ammunition, but with a recoil spring that is lighter than the Canik standard spring. The TTI Combat pistol’s compensator and lower force recoil spring provide unique factors that may affect performance depending on the ammunition, technique, and round count. For this reason, we are providing our new high force performance recoil spring for customers that choose to use this. Your replacement part order number is :270288 Sincerely, Customer Service

    We didn't have a "tripple 7", but there was a tv series called "07 zgłoś się" (07 come in) - where 07 (pronounced zero-seven) was the callsign of the main character - a detective in the Milicja Obywatelska (people's militia - the police force in socialist Poland). For 20 years, this was the standard issue sidearm for the police. The serial-numbered magazines were standard issue as well - these were issued with 2 mags, and you were not allowed to lose one. Frankly - the p64 was made primarily for undercover guys - particularly the secret police (internal security). The uniformed police got it "along the way", and with Poland at the time being a totalitarian country, issuing the police with a 6+1 sidearm with 1 extra mag was no big deal - they weren't expected to use them anyway. That, and most police officers at the time in Poland were clinical idiots. And the reason these are in such great condition, is that firearm ownership in Poland was non-existent at the time. The whole production was reserved for police/military, and more were made, than necessary. So a lot of these were just put into storage straight from the factory, and never issued. The same goes for the pm63 machine pistols. Every now, and then, someone digs up a crate of these things, and puts them on the market in basically factory condition. Eventually, the supply will dry up, but it represents a cool piece of history.
