I pretty much agree with all your points here, although I will say that for the first-time buyer, unsure of all the uses to which he or she will put a handgun, it's hard to find a better general recommendation than a Glock 19. A second handgun is a completely different kettle of fish. Also, as to the "natural pointing" aspect, I had the same problem until I learned an interesting thing: while the grip angle of a 1911 (and most other modern handguns) will align the barrel with the point at which your hand is pointing its index finger, the grip angle of a Glock will align the barrel with the point at which your hand is pointing its thumb. Try it out - point your thumb at a target, open your fingers enough to place a Glock into your grip, and look down the sights. Voila!
What is the matter with the Glock reset? I think it’s relatively short, and very tactile. The HK VP9 reset is longer, not as tactile, more mushy, and has additional take up after it resets. The Glock reset your back at the wall with no additional creep or take up.
The reset is not the worst. You just have to get through a bad trigger pull to get to it. As far as the trigger verses the VP9 trigger, I have taken out dozens of people that were new to firearms, and 100% of them shoot the VP9 markedly better every time. That being said, Glock is a great firearm, I would pick a dozen other firearms before I would pick a glock for myself. Thanks for leaving a comment and supporting the channel.
@@theBucketshallnotbeinfringed I guess we all have our opinion. I just never cared for the trigger pull or reset on any HK polymer pistol. The only one that I like is my HK P2000sk LEM, only after I installed the Gray Guns Short Reset Trigger on it. I would take Glock every time over an HK polymer pistol. That being said HK are very well built, and reliable.
@@gracedagostino5231 We all need to find what we like, want to pick up to train with, and shoot well. The purpose of this video was just to explain why I never bring Glocks to my channel. The Goat Whisperer has a 19 and loves it. I have owned Glocks and shot them well. I just never put them in the range bag and never wanted to shoot them. So they are just not for me. I think they are great guns and respect all that choose them!

I agree I think they are held up as the best gun in the world, and while they are good guns they have short comings and some companies make guns that address those failings. I always find it funny when someone who does not shoot as well as me tells me I picked the wrong gun. That has happened many times and often they are holding a Glock telling me that I have the wrong gun.

My two newest 9mm pistols are the Glock G26 and the S&W Shield Plus. I haven't shot either yet but I'm only going to keep one, we'll see !
I would love to hear what you decide and why. Thanks for supporting the channel

Finer words have never been spoken.
Glocks are like Harley's... buy it to begin with because it runs... then you can customize until you run out of money... .40 rocks imo.
I like your style! Have fun making it exactly the way you want, that can be alot of fun for sure. Thanks for supporting the channel!
I have found that the NOT a Glock clones address the less desirable Glock "draw backs" and save a bit of cash for range day to boot
True.
Very well said Glocks are overpriced overrated and why would you want something that just about everybody else has that is just being a follower

How is a Glock overrated? There is a good reason why everyone has one.
Nice recycled butter tub.
