C5 Corvette Exterior Temperature Sensor Replacement
I noticed you have no underhood blanket. No heat damage to hood or paint?
Nope, none at all. These are installed primarily for NVH and fire concerns. My factory one started to sag so I removed it and have not yet replaced it. Fiberglass is a very good thermal insulator
I put a Die Hard Silver in the wife's 2018 Armada Platinum with 15k miles about 1.5 years ago. My wife drives about 10 minutes to work everyday. I thought it was kind of a hair off in the last week when moving it around. Last night, poof she was almost dead. I jumped it off with my 66 Beetle, found these articles, un hooked the grey wire, and slapped a trickle set up on it. Maybe we should report this to the EPA so Nissan will get their crap together? Imagine the amount of batteries being discarded. Thanks for the video.
I am considering buying one, what make tail pack do you have it looks a nice set up
Hey man. Love the video. I have the same exact problem on my 03 but with my rear wheel locking as the code pops up. Im interested in doing what you explained here but am looking for an update to know that this actually fixed the issue long term/permanent. Would much appreciate any feedback.
Thanks! So far, so good! It had been running great, no more error codes or brake problems
Hi, Showing on Dash. OIL LEVEL SENSOR, ENGINE OIL CHANGE REQUIRED. How do you reset this Sensor ? Had an oil change recently ? thanx
Oil level sensor may indicate a problem, check the dipstick to be sure. While stationary, you can scroll through the infotainment menu to vehicle settings and click reset service interval
Great review im buying the S because of your video
Good choice!
Thanks for the videos, love the Titan content. How many miles do you have on yours now and do you still like it?
Thanks for the support! The Titan now has right about 55k miles on the clock right now, aside from fuel mileage it's just about the perfect truck
@4KMotoring wow that is low miles for the year! You don't drive it a lot do you 😁 Good to hear though, I am looking right now at a 2018 PR that has 74,000 mi looks to be very clean test drove it drives nice. I would likely get an extended warranty on it just to be prudent. But otherwise absolutely love the truck Love the way they drive, to me they feel like a truck should.
Does the Ducati MULTIV4S have speed bleeders or do you have to close the bleeder valve before you release the brake handle?
Traditional banjo bolts from the factory, not speed bleeders. With a vacuum bleeder set, doesn't make much of a difference.
Awesome video brother, I just traded my 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it (with 360 HP and 380 Ibs of torque) for a 2024 Nissan Titan with the 5.6L Endurance V8 in it (with 400 HP and 413 Ibs if torque) and man let me tell you its a freakn beast and its sounds like a beast as well.
Hey, how is It attached to the motorbike?
Using their motorcycle accessory kit, clamped to the crash bars or rear subframe
Bought brand new 2023 Titan Xd less than two months ago. Dealer gave me new battery at purchase due to truck sitting on lot for 2 years. Battery was completely dead this morning. Nothing turned on and had to manually unlock my truck. Tried to do battery warranty replacement but sadly battery had 768 crank amps which is well above the nissan warranty threshold so they wouldn't replace the battery.
The dealership that installed it should offer the replacement. Seems like an odd scenario. Check loose battery connections, common for sudden no voltage scenarios.
A lot of work for minimal return. OEM will stay in mine.
Really not difficult work, but certainly pretty minimal gains. It's noticeably better, but only just.
Most all of the commenters have 2020 and older trucks. Does this connector “trick” also apply to a brand new 2024? Does a 2024 even need to be concerned with this?
From my understanding, Nissan switched to AGM batteries in the newer trucks that seem to handle the voltage swings better. Though, I think the reason the older truck owners are more vocal is because their trucks have had more time to show symptoms. I'm not sure if the smart alternator algorithm was tweaked in the 2020+ trucks, but I would imagine unplugging the cable is still a good idea
All coming from a base model owner. 🫨The thrill of the Z06 performance is worth the down sides!
I saw the view of your engine bay and do you have a foam gasket at the body lip where the leading edge of the hood comes down? If not, rain and wash water can run in and soak your air filter, fyi. 😬
For free I will remplace…., I’m sorry but don’t see any difference to spend money on that
The low light images are better, but only by a small margin
Don't you need the Metra DB 3021b to make the factory subwoofers work? Otherwise it sounds like s**
The axcess interface seemed to match up with all the factory Bose connectors, so I don't believe so. It seems to work fine
Thx for the video. After reading some comments, people are just rude.
It's expected on the Internet
I can't feel the Brake Free on my Shoei RF1200. I notice the cars stay farther back...battery last over 13 hours on my road trips.
Whats the best alternative based on your personal experience?
Best alternative to the AIO-5? Assuming you want to stay close in functionality, the Speedal Navicam is a close second
amzn.to/3CoXFL3
this doesn't have a mount that goes small enough for gps accessory bars...
I've used RAM accessories on all my bikes. Works great!
@4KMotoring so now you're adding the cost of a mount that should come with the device if it's designed for motorcycles lol. amount that the other options come with in the box
They have one that mounts to the BMW GPS mount? In their defense, I didn't believe it was advertised as being anything other than a handlebar mount.
@4KMotoring they have the bmw specific thing yes But most of these are going on Adventure bikes and most of them have a little bar for GPS units and they're not as wide as a handlebar. It doesn't make any sense not to include amount for that when literally every other brand does. The carpuride has one included
Unfortunately I'll have to disagree with you a bit there, the majority of motorcycles is going on do not have any sort of navigation bar set up. Quite frankly, I don't remember the last time I even saw a bike with that feature. ADV bikes usually have big wide handlebars, yeah so I think this is a perfect solution. If the bar clamp is too large without a reducer present, you can use a piece of tire inner tube or plastic bits to taper down to whatever bar size you have.
My mic stopped working completely after about 10 months of riding and riding 5 days a week at least won’t pick up me speaking at all. Tried factory reset. Unplugging plugging back it and still nothing. Battery life now for the past few months has been diminished to about 50% of what it was when I bought it.
Definitely reach out to Cardo Support!
😂😂
It is wise to disconnect the negative, first 😅not the positive
A Pedal Commander enhances throttle responsiveness by reducing delay and adjusting sensitivity, so even partial pedal pressure feels faster and more responsive than flooring it alone, which doesn’t change the factory throttle lag. It’s about fine-tuning control, not just reaching full throttle.
It literally does nothing you can't already do with your foot
Okay so now what 🧍🏾
Well, the bolt should be loose...
In my 18 Titan I just had a weird starting event after stopping quick at a gas station. Came back out and pushed the Start button and it tried to start (it was partially firing) but never got close to idle speed and died. Then on 2nd Start button press it did the same thing but did try to stay running at very low rpm for a couple seconds before dying. I then waited a few seconds and pressed the Start button again and it started like there was never a problem. STRANGE electrical issue that I wonder if is related here. I am going to watch my voltmeter for a span here to see anything weird.
That's exactly what most of our trucks do when the battery starts dying, how old is yours?
@@4KMotoring I've had the truck since 2019, have 67K miles, and have not changed the battery. I live in SC.
thanks so much
Have you tested listening to music via the TFT screen while you are with friends who are on EDGE (mesh) while you are on BOLD. For my part, every time I try, I hear nothing. When i leave them, my music is OK ?
The settings are super confusing, and I think that's your problem. There is a setting for volume while intercom is active and another setting for volume without intercom and then a mixing volume. I honestly don't understand each of them fully but start playing with a sliders and you'll probably fix this
@ Thanks for your answer :- )
Did I hear that right-do you measure tire tread depth in seconds? You Americans are funny, haha!
32nds of an inch. There are two types of countries, those that use the metric system and those that put a man on the moon...
Very Great review, Thanks !
Another big Black Friday sale coming up and some BIG software updates coming!
on the latest update i found some issue aboute bluetooth system i'm using sena50s when i connected on rider channel i cannot hear any music but on passenger channel can hear music flawlessly. i'm back to my dealer and they cannot fix any issue they tell me i need to waiting the new software version for fix this issue. oh my goodness.
Very strange! I have not had that issue with my Cardo!
@4KMotoring oh my god so sad with my sena.
The main thing probably started from that Nissan titan smart alternator crap and which most people have been unplugging them because of the problems they cause. I watch my voltage jump all the time and I'm debating on just completely unplugging mine especially since the transmission seems off at times. The voltage jumping can't be good for the electronics
Hi Chris I also have a Ducati v4 pikes peak just wondering if you’re currently using the carpuride on your Ducati? If not what do you recommend? Ps I have a evotech phone mount with a quad lock fitted Cheers
To answer your question simply, no, I no longer have the Carpuride on any of my bikes. After significant time using it, I've found it just lacks the refinement for my needs. The happy place I've found on the Ducati is my phone on the handlebars and a Garmin Zumo XT2 on an Evotech windshield mount. If you prefer an android auto/ apple carplay solution, the Chigee AIO-5 series is the absolute best out there. If you have any other questions or want more specific information, feel free to shoot me an email
Thanks to your video I just did the new cross pipe while keeping the factory headers and muffler. The sound is amazing! Thanks for such a well detailed video. Keep up your good work.
Quick shifter update improved smoothness on my V4S. But I mix quick shifting with manual shifting which makes for notchy manual shifting. So I have turned off quick shifter in Touring mode where I typically ride and that dramatically improved manual shifting. Makes the quick shifter kinda useless for me.
Leaking fork seals on my 2021 V4S Multistrada at 14K miles were covered by my 3rd party extended warranty. Original warranty had expired a few months before. This one warranty claim recovered 2/3 of the extended warranty premium. Money well spent.
since I put some of these tires on one of my Ducati monster bikes I've decided to take the Pirelli off all of my Ducati and other bikes and use these tires. They're absolutely fantastic. You can go anywhere on them in any weather condition
The fork oil was done long before the seals failed. Enjoy the refreshed suspension.
I had a 2021 Multi V4S that started leaking fork oil after 2k miles. Ducati initially claimed that it was due to rider negligence but the dealer came through and argued that no bike, especially one intended to be used in rough trails, should not be leaking with such low mileage. I agree that in other circumstances such as 20K+ miles is likely more justified as true wear and tear.
My fork seals went out while I was on a road trip, nearest Ducati dealer was about 500 miles away in Las Vegas. I was able to get the bike there and they covered it under my ever red extended warranty. They said factory warranty would’ve covered it, but it was expired so my ever red extended warranty took care of it, zero deductible. Thankfully the shop had the seals in stock and had me on my way 2 days later
How many miles were on the bike at the time?
@@4KMotoring Right around 15,000 miles. If your still under any kind of warranty, it should have been covered
I’d love to know how you get to talk to Ducati? I’ve called several times. Listen to the prompts, (hit this button will call you back.) I’ve sent them emails I think in the last two years Ducati has changed it used to be they would always answer the phone, it used to be there always reply to emails. Now I feel ignored.. I’m with you I would think fork seals would be wear and tear but hell I’d love extra savings on a warranty. I have a 24 multi-Strada and I haven’t had any issues with a quick shipper .
yes that is warranty work.... fork seals are not a wear item, ask yourself is it on. the maintenance chart? I've never seen fork seals on a maintenance schedule
I just had mine done as well at $27k miles. They were leaking way before that and I tried the warranty route. Ducati denied the dealers warranty request but they told me to appeal which I did. I actually think I could have gotten them to do it but I got busy with other stuff and failed to follow through with the claim and ultimately just paid the dealer to replace them. I also got the recent update done at the same time and my experience is opposite. Quickshifter seems even better although not by much but mine used to never pop on upshifts and now it does. I like the popping.
Get the Motorcycle Top Scan Obd and 6 pin adaptor. I got it yesterday after seeing a review on RUclips. I was able to reset my inspection Service light, saving £70/$90 just for the dealer to look it over. My oil service is due in 3900 miles, I’ll do that myself and reset the date.
Seems interesting ! can you link the oroducts please? Is it easy to do it?
My Rally was updated last week, and I noticed a difference in the quick shifter on some shifts. At first I thought I didn't do a positive shift, but soon realized something changed from a software update. Thinking about turning it off until another update fixes this.
2022 multi v4s. Mine got fully covered under third party warranty (Riders Advantage 1700$ for 4 years with zero deductible). Replaced both fork seals with zero cost. Quoted me 1200$ for both seals replacement. Called warranty company. They took care of it. One fork seal got damaged at 12000 miles. But the Ducati service center replaced both and warranty covered it. Initially warranty company didn’t want to cover for the undamaged second one but service center people talked with the warranty company and settled.
$1000 at 21k miles for a bad fork seal, that is half the cost of a valve check... Exactly why I got rid of this thing, quickshifter issues, parts falling off the bike(exhaust pipe cover), service centers charging insane prices then treating customers like peasants, squishy front brake lever even after they replaced the entire master cylinder, the list goes on. Waiting for the BMW 1300 GS with ASA, no more bad quickshifters and Ducati for me. Wish you luck with Ducati actually fixing something without a lawsuit.
Always enjoy your content! I had a third party warranty (Corner Stone) on my 2015 Multi and they did cover the fork seals under warranty. Also my 2022 Multi was just in the shop and they did check the software, not sure if it needed it but I haven’t noticed any difference with the quick shifter. I have alway noticed it doesn’t like to be loaded…. Just pop it up, don’t ride your boot under it with pressure… have a good weekend!
You're a great teacher ty
