I previously used the Pocketbook Inkpad 3 and upgraded to this model, but I’ve noticed that the battery drains much faster, and the PB Reader isn’t as good as it was on the PB740. I’m wondering if there’s any way to install the Pocketbook X firmware on the Pro version?

if you have both a RM2 and a pro everything syncs fine between them

I'm curious, do the reading apps change your impression that this is more trying to compete with Boox and Supernote or do you still think it's trying to compete with Remarkable? Great video.

In his review Mydeepguide said that the default PDF reader does not display text very well compared to Kobo or kindle apps. I would like to knows if this has improved with recent updates.

Great video, my device is due to arrive on Wednesday! There are a couple of features I’d love to see added like Calendars syncing with Outlook/O365 and an upgrade to GPT 4, I wonder if Viwoods will communicate a roadmap at all? Anyway, I appreciate what you are doing, thank you.

the evolution of the software for these devices has been *incredibly* fast. thanks for the update! if nothing else I hope the quality we've seen here juices the market to progress a little faster.

I think they really should add physical/capacitance buttons just like the reMarkable 1. They used to be really handy and for quite a few years (before rm 2 release), the company just refuse to add guestures to the device.

Hi everybody and thanks for the good video. I am currently using the RM2, but it stopped synchronizing and the RM support team cannot manage to bring it back to life. So I am wondering what could be my next step, and here I would welcome your advices. RM Paper Pro or move to Boox or Super note? Which model? Let me tell you how I use my RM2. I use it to take notes for my work. I have completely stopped using paper. I like the writing feel (close to paper) and the ability to synch all my documents/notebook with my phone or computer. I insist that I like the writing feel and don't want to go to a device which could be like writing on an iPad (which I frankly dislike). But I miss screen light when it becomes dark and would appreciate to be able to synch my Kobo books as well for example. Color is nice but not a must for me. Being able to search documents could be useful and I find the RM2 weak on this. I currently use a Lamy and enjoy the possibility to use the side button as eraser. Being obliged to change pen buying the RMPP bothers me. Access to internet? Not a must but could be interesting to read on tablet instead of on my computer. Based on what I described above what would be your recommendations? Do you know if there is somewhere a side by side table comparing devices? Should I wait as new devices are announced and could be great improvement?

Good overview, I am really interested in your final impressions. I might disagree with you that this is more of a reMarkable competitor. I think you are right that it is competing with them on price, but it seems like design wise and ecosystem wise, it is more between Supernote and Boox to me. Well done as always my friend.

Hey there. I have a question. Is the writing sound too loud? Do you think I can use it in class to take some short notes on pdfs? Also there was a few people that says pen cause stratches on screen, do you also had those scratches? Thanks.

How would you expand storage on the books go 10.3?

When I am in the kindle app and swipe down using the stylus pen from the top right, it will bring up the menu 'crop-annotate-record'. When I choose annotate it quickly flashes the annotate menu bar up top then goes away. From what I understood, it would take a screenshot, let me annotate, then save it to the screenshot section in pickings...but it doesn't work. Anyone else having this problem?

I had one ordered but it wasn’t coming until late November so I canceled for timing reaaons. But if this really has the same screen as the A5x2, then probably I’m going to get the Supernote when that is available.

this thing looks good. I hope it can multitask notes and pdf reading well. The older Mobiscibe had the ability to associate a note in the pdf app, but mine newer mobiscribe can't, and the newer mobiscribe can't switch quickly in and out of notes. I'm interested in doing math study from pdfs so annotation isn't enough,

OK, Remarkable. Fabulous work here. But about creating a MONITOR with all these same qualities but just as a monitor? Sort of like the Boox Mira? There are now 10,000 tablets out there, but a sad dearth of monitors that spare the eyes.

I think where I struggle with the A5X2 is understanding why scaling up the A6X2 isn't an option. My understanding is that the customer base wants a larger version of the A6. In the video, it did not appear to me that the device had any game-changing features that would justify the long wait. I could see if they tried to do color or backlight or something else but they just seemingly made a larger and thinner A6X2. I decided to post here to avoid the drama of down votes on reddit. What happens when the RM2 storage is full but the Pro still has plenty of room? Can you pick and choose which files get loaded on which device?

Hello! Is the screen of Remarkable Paper Pro really darker than that of the Remarkable 2?

Exporting highlights and notes is essencial when reading pdfs with hundreds of pages. I have e ink devices because I spent a lot of time reading. Don’t understand this lack of feature in Remarkable. Like a lot it’s UI but glad I got a Boox.

What I found with Remarkable 1 was that I noted up PDFs (British & Euro codes for my work for example) - the notes were erased with a device update in a similar way templates are erased. Is that still the case?

The PDF export is a major disappointment for me. Tags should export as bookmarks, but they don't, highlight should export as highlighting annotations but intead export as a colorbox hiding behind the text layer, and ink should export as pencil annotations but intead exports as something else. The failure to follow the PDF standard really hurts your ability to do anything but read or print a doc annotated on the rMPP. sure wish we could see pre-existing annotations on the rMPP, but that also was not allowed. Very sad to put such bad PDF support on such great hardware.

Do you find it comfortable enough in terms of snappiness of pdf reading/page turning and occasional pinch-zooming here and there? So hard to find a review without focus on scribbling

The modularity ... I'm sure they have ideas, but I don't even think they know what it will lead to. But, the fact that it is there opens up lots of possibilities.

I'm an ex-product manager for a tech company. Supernote failed at managing expectations by exposing their internal timeline and treating it as external. We all want to think the general public is composed of mature adult thinkers ungoverned by anticipatory teases, but it isn't. We are all children who need to be carefully spoonfed information on a need-to-know basis. If they simply shared what they were working on but had no timeline and kept selling their existing product, it would have had a much different, and more positive, reaction. I saw this coming a mile away. If they survive this marketing error, I'm sure they have learned their lesson and that's the last of that behavior we'll ever see. :)

Gee, your reviews are really something, you could easily go for the most thorough reviewer on YT. I must confess that I am losing the overview a bit on the e-reader and e-note offerings. Maybe you would allow me this question. Suppose that I find the following things really important: - being able to read an ebook on a decent e-book app - being eable to read pdf's and easily zoom in and out, you know, the two finger things. On my Remarkable 2 this is hell: you enlarge it with your fingers, it reacts clunky and slow and when it gets there it is way too big, it's not responsive and therefore useless - being able to write on the ebooks and pdf's directly, underline, and scribble a word here and there in the margin, it doesn't have to much fancier than that althoudh the writing should be doable, not too clunky - around 10'' That's it, no other fancy notetaking of other stuff, just read books and pdf's and be able to write on it. Anything you could recommend? Once more, thanks for the massive amount of work you put into your channel!
