Great video and appreciated your wise observations. Unfortunately since you filmed this they’ve re-surfaced it with loose pebbles - completely unsuitable and dangerous for family cycling. It would be interesting if you revisited soon and filmed how you and your family coped on the new surface. It’s as bizarre as having those blocks/barriers in the way.

    • @cyclingn8

Thank you, this was so helpful. This might work really well for us. Our Zenobia 6 nightfall is a fantastic size for us (Mum and Dad), our mid teenager and our 3 large dogs. We would only need the side extension when weather dictates the need for an area to dry off the dogs, have mats down to dry off paws/feet, hang wet gear etc. In fine weather the zenobia 6 does everything we want it to do, including the ability to set up the "kitchen" in the living area with the cooking space by one of the doors for ventilation. You can't argue with Higear tents really can you? Great budget spacious tents if you don't want to spend Outwell polycotton inflatable prices. Your 8 person looks fantastic. Too big for us now our eldest has left home but a great option for those who need family space with a built in porch. Thanks again and happy camping! 😊

I have the Berghaus Adhara 500 and wishing I purchased a tent with a porch now. There is a porch that can be added to the Adhara, however I am unsure how they actually attach to the tent. I have been put off by a review on Go Outdoors saying the porch damaged some rubber seals on the actual tent in strong winds. Have you seen the Adhara porch up and how that might connect?

It’s not one I have seen up yet, but I thought it just went over the front of the tent, can’t see how it could damage any seals. In Kendall I saw many wheelchair users, and electric trikes on the old railway track. Thank you for your kind comment. The barriers are a real shame, hopefully the council will see sense and remove them at some point. Thanks for watching!

The sleepers at the access points are for horses to step over a to stop motorbikes and yobos on those over powered ebikes called surrons

Unfortunately they don’t work, we were passed by a motorbike while at the cafe. They sadly make access for those less able or with kids extremely difficult. My local greenway has no barriers like this, they really don’t need to be there. Thanks for watching!

The barriers would make it impossible for me to get over or through in my wheelchair with powered add-on. I have done thousands of miles on the NCN and it is so frustrating and even dangerous to have to bypass sections of the network by using busy roads.

For me it’s very frustrating but I was lucky this time to have someone to help me with the trailer, so I was able to get through. It’s a massive shame, and plain wrong, that there are people who are blocked from using these paths. Thanks for watching!

Brilliant thanks. I have done the Brum to Wolves bit many times and the Shrewsbury area less so. I just need to join it all together this summer. Thanks again.

It makes for a nice ride linking it all up, and you can even catch the train back from Shrewsbury. Thanks for watching!

I want to commute this way but unsure if road tyres will be sound on the tow path. I'm going from bilston to Handsworth. Do you think I'd make it?? 😂

Honestly I think you would be fine, it’s actually a decent surface most of the way, I only used the MTB as I wasn’t sure what it was like. Thanks for watching!

I noticed a lot of the time you're holding the handlebars with your fingertips , try fitting a set of riser bars rather than the straight ones and try lowering the saddle a few millimetres

I have noticed I tend to do this while filming, I think subconsciously trying to get a better angle for the GoPro, need to stop it. Thanks for watching!

Are all their tents made by someone else and they just add the Berghaus branding as they don't sell them on their own website

    • @cyclingn8

As I understand it Go outdoors (millets/ blacks) license the berghaus name to use on tents, so much like hi gear and eurohike tents they are basically a go outdoors own brand. Thanks for watching!

Wow what a different style, excellent commentary full of interesting info, - without any annoying music in the background - He He I did feel a little queasy during the sped-up sections, kept on thinking and hoping you would not crash, especially in the tight bridge sections! - Really like your style.
