I didn’t realise that the A41 was split and there is a section of it running through Birmingham all the way up to Liverpool. Learn something new everyday.
The stretch along Haughton Lane where it signposts a right turn should eventually re-open once the housing work finishes. This cuts out all the lights at Junction 4 of the M54.
I use the sustrans website to get the route and if I need directions I plan it out on Garmin connect so I can download to my garmin. Thanks for watching!
I cycled the route on Friday and its still closed off! However it looks to be very close to being finished!
Cheers! Hopefully not too long until it’s open!

Thanks for the update and thank you for watching!
The right turn from Haughton Lane to Priorslee used to be very bumpy and full of pot holes. More suited to gravel or mountain bike.
Which app did you use for route planning?/

I did that route in 2010 on a BMX bike! I have a different route for you if you have an email?
