It was a pleasant surprise to find such a nice route along the canal there. I’d be worried about falling in the canal unicycling it though! Thanks for watching!
Long Mountain is classified as a UK Marilyn - a mountain or hill in the British Isles with a relative height of at least 150m on all sides regardless of its absolute height. Long Mountain has a prominence of 305m relative to the surrounding area and is why it can be called a mountain
How embarrassing, that was me on the e bike at 15 .59. great videos that you produce. If I had realised it was you I would of stopped and had a chat.like all your trips and have done them all . Keep up the good work
No way! Definitely could have had a chat if I had known your were a viewer! I definitely could have done with an e bike up that hill too. Thanks for watching!
great video, I've ridden the tow path from Welshpool to Newtown as I only live 8 miles from the Nags head, Welshpoool to Frankton junction is another nice ride
I’ve been driving on that road many times and I never knew that there was a path good enough to ride on. Thanks I’ll certainly be adding to to my “to do list”
Another very interesting video, and another route for me to ride asap! It had occurred to me previously that a gravel bike would be ideal for your mixed terrain cycling. Go for it! You can never have roo many bikes.
Have you looked at yourself at 24.43. Apart from a flash on your Sox’s you are dressed the same as a piece of road. Here in NZ we are increasingly wearing hi vis when we ride including helmets which are the highest beacon. Just a thought.
At that point I’m nice and safe on the canal towpath, but I see your point. I was riding with a cycle specific top and bag, both of which have hi vis strips on them that the camera doesn’t pick up very well, my helmet is also cream so does stand out but again not picked up by the camera too well. Thanks for watching!
Another great video. Just to think that most of those towpaths were more accessible for people using mobility aids and non-standard cycles a century ago ... when 2 fat boathorses could pass each other on it. I have to note that it is said "Shrosebury" 😉. These things matter !
Yes definitely a shame the route would be a struggle for anyone not on a standard bike. I’m definitely in the ‘shrew’ camp, but I certainly enjoy the debate. Thanks for watching!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. It would always be nice to have more dedicated cycle paths but most of the road sections in this are very quiet lanes at least. Thanks for watching!
Road signs in the UK are still all in miles, we have a strange mix of metric and imperial units across many areas still here, with younger generations using metric a little more I would say. Thanks for watching!
Love that 15 miles stretch of towpath between Welshpool & Newtown, inspired me to do it on my unicycle

I see, so it’s all relative, that’s explains things, thanks for that!
Love you're videos mate I'm 18 stone and I did the Wolverhampton to Telford thanks to you're videos looking to do this one hopefully one day
Glad you enjoy the videos and that they inspire you to get out on the bike, that’s what it is all about. Thanks for watching!

Great video as always, have used a couple of your videos South of Telford to do a few rides, this one is next on my list!
Glad you the enjoy the videos, some tough climbs in this one but enjoyable. Thanks for watching!

Glad you enjoyed it. Can you stay along side the canal (or what remains) for the ride to Frankton? Thanks for watching!
@@cyclingn8 yes you can ride along the canal all the way, one section they were working on it but you can still get through
@@dwrowley a future video perhaps 🤔

I had also driven down the road many times, I had noticed the Canal but didn’t know it was such a great cycle route. Thanks for watching!
Brilliant. This was so interesting and thank you for some of the facts that you give throughout the video. It certainly is a great ride.
Thank you for the kind words, glad you found it interesting. Thanks for watching!
Lovely scenery. Appreciate all the research that goes into these videos with plenty of interesting facts. Nice Pinarello bike!
Thank you, I do like my Italian steed, even if it’s getting on a bit now. Thanks for watching!

You certainly can’t have too many bikes 🚲 thanks for watching!
Great video ,thanks
Your welcome, thanks for watching!

The simple explanation of Nesscliff (Training Area) without the "e" is the Army being lazy with spelling, they never saw need to include it.
Sometimes the simplest explanations make the most sense. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching!
great video. such a shame that the vast majority of the early stages follow roads.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. It would always be nice to have more dedicated cycle paths but most of the road sections in this are very quiet lanes at least. Thanks for watching!
I think the locals pronounce it “Shray-ward-dine”.
I thought my biggest problem was my Welsh place name pronunciation! Thanks for the clarification and thanks for watching!
You’re in the Uk shouldn’t those signs be posted in kilometres ?
Road signs in the UK are still all in miles, we have a strange mix of metric and imperial units across many areas still here, with younger generations using metric a little more I would say. Thanks for watching!
We use miles, all our speed signs are in miles
Nesscliffe Camp now home to Afghan refugees.
I thought it was just for the MOD, didn’t know this!
Berriew = Berry-you.
Thanks!
