Thank you, we like them too 😉. One is an e-bike (my dads), the other a normal one (mine).

Thank you for posting this lovely video of your HCW trip. This is easily one of the best videos I've seen of the route. The videography (especially the drone footage) is superb. I now have a good idea of what to expect when I do this tour.

What a great journey you've had! I must say that absolutely love it. I appreciate all your hard work to make this fantastic video possible and for sharing it with us. If possible I'd like to know how did you sort out accommodation during the 5 day trip? Did you use hotels or slept in tents? Just thinking how to prepare to a trip like that. All the best and hoping to see some nice trips in the future 👍👍🤩🤩🌷🌷

Glad you like it. We first looked at the itinerary and what we wanted to see (museums). Then we estimated how long we would spend on these sights. Together with the number of kilometres, you then know how often you want to stop for the night and roughly where. We're quite late in booking, so there wasn't a whole lot of choice everywhere, so then it's good to see where you can sleep. We cycled for 5 days, but the trip took longer. We slept in Ravenglass for 2 nights before we left. Then in 1 night in Maryland, then 2 nights in Carlisle (to see the city), and another 1 night in Haltwhistle, Corbridge and South Shields. We found the accommodations through Booking and Visit Northumberland.
After this trip, we cycled on to Durham, but that's off this route.
Do you want to cycle Hadrian's Cycleway as well?

@@britblog I must admit that Your journey (and viedo) inspired me to cycle Hadrian's Way. And I'm one of those lucky people who live fairly close to HC! Unfortunately, In my case it will be solo journey as I don't know anyone who would be willing to cycle so many miles.I've become keen on cycling though I don't go to the gym but I'd have to prepare myself, for such a long journey, so likely I'll hit the road next year, fingers crossed! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and for tips as well!

That's great to hear! We didn't do a lot of mileage during our cycling days because we also liked to visit museums. Only the second cycling day was 100 km (62 miles), though over pretty flat terrain. A good basic level of fitness is nice to have, though the route doesn't have very many steep hills.

Could have been very informative and interesting, but turned out to be someone’s holiday snaps , boring

It's a pity you can't appreciate it, I put a lot of time and effort into making an informative video about this cycle route. Did you watch it with subtitles? There's a lot of information in there.
