Sumter County Fire & EMS honored several of its own at its recent Annual Awards/Pinning Ceremony. The annual ceremony honors those who received promotions in the past year, became Sumter County Fire & EMS personnel, and received awards recognizing their service.
The big honoree of the night was Fire Inspector Robert Smith, who received The Fire Chief Award. Other award winners included Nicholas Jones, Meritorious Service Award; Casey Stanberry, Officer of the Year; William Jones, Firefighter of the Year; William Vinyard, Paramedic of the Year; and Denis Daza, EMT of the Year.
