How do u get tangled out?
Lovely! How do you maintain it at night?
Agreed on the pros! I have submitted. I love that it can look one way at the beginning of the day, then take on a whole different look by evening without me even changing the part. 🖤
My postpartum self is thanking you 😢!! Knowing that you do not have to have a holy grail list of products is a weight of my shoulders!! Virtual hug to you 🤗!!
Im glad I ran across your video!! I have a thick head of hair but my strands are fine i just got back to a fresh start my hair is still just past shoulder length and I am going to start doing this just making sure I keep my ends good to go to prevent having to cut every 12 weeks.
I'm shocked, a year? Only wear scarves? This is such a good conversation, you have so much wisdom.
Definitely cool! It looks really natural! If they have loose hair for braids too, that would be great!
Lately I've been working on wearing twists and stretching my hair. When I get tired of the two strand twists being full-length, I wear them in bantu knots, and the I wear the stretched hair!
Why can’t your students wear a bonnet in class? my high school didn’t have a dress code and no one came to school in a bathing suit. That’s just the controlling nature of these educators pushing through.
We as black folks need to stop associating long hair with white women. Black women can have long beautiful hair as well. Let's stop attributing everything to them. It is like this woman said even if she wears her hair blow dried or straight it does not look like white peoples hair. So true.
But look at how some Black women and men treated Gabby Thomas and Simone Biles. I was a teen when I saw that; it was sad. That doesn't account for the jokes and bullying some of us have faced for our natural features. I have been laughed at for wearing my very short afro. I can see how some women might have a hard time with this. Especially if they already wear other styles all year long anyway and rarely wear their hair out.
4c love it
When I was young I had thick shoulder length hair…..I was happy with the length. Now I > 60 and I have been through an array of hairstyles. At this stage of my life I just desire a healthy head of hair, and do everything in my power to achieve this!
So true ❤
So true-great content ❤
❤❤❤❤
We don't fight nature❤
We sure do unless u leaving the house without showering or deodorant 😂
❤❤❤.... Love this.....❤❤❤. When I stopped the constant manipulation I'm retaining more length.
😮your hair is so beautiful miss❤
Lovely What can I do to reduce shed hair.
I've been doing protective styling, mini twists with my hair no extensions since the summer
Ohhh I needed this message! I was starting to relapse back into trying to perfectly detangle my hair again. I think at this point its only really necessary if I am going to blowdry with my Revair or straighten it (which I will probably never do).
Thank you, I hate trimming my hair! I take good care of my hair and hate it when stylists tell me that I NEED to cut my hair every 6-8 weeks.
You’re the first black hair RUclipsr that I can actually sit and listen through a whole video, other RUclipsrs just ramble on about irrelevant stuff and get to the main topic like 10mins in it’s so annoying! 🙄 Less really is more. Thanks for emphasizing that you don’t need a thousand different products to achieve your hair goals! ❤❤❤
Truth
lol! Some of us comb our hair as if we’re fighting a wild animal. That’s self abuse and I’m not down with that.
I find the whole “don’t do this or that in front of men” interesting. I was also taught by my mother to not walk around with sleep headwear after waking up. The only difference is, it wasn’t for the sake of some man. She taught us that when you get out of bed, do your hygiene/grooming routine because it is very important on how you represent yourself. Even if it’s a boring Saturday, no school, no planned outings, you still wake up and groom yourself. Don’t walk around in headscarves or pajamas. (Feeling ill was the only exception.) How you present yourself should have nothing to do with men, but everything to do with how you show up.
You look like Solange 😍
So my natural hair is in my picture but I wear latches (crochet) a lot as a protective style. I needed to wash, deep condition and corn row my hair and latch my water wave hair back in and a guy I was dating back in the day wanted me to come over and do my hair at his place so I did. When we broke up he called me bald headed 😂
Amen!❤
Yes! These people are like "my hair has never been long some people just got the genes" and don't realize they've been breaking off their hair their whole life
💯 correct.
I like to surprise men …. My hair is in great condition ….not only with my hair
Yes! I think must of them focus on length so they lessens to different kind of myth about hair growth because they want a quick fix
I'm 64 years old. I started my hair journey to grow my hair to knee cap length. I decided and desire long hair.
Cat fishing and cosplaying for a year is very wild and a clear indication of mental health issues in terms of self-esteem + self-acceptance.
Free form dreads…. Shampoo, castor oil every 3 days…my hair is great lol, love it..thanks for the video
I love your content 🎉
Mainwhile date 2 or 3 it's natural hair or even date 1...😅😅 may explains why I'm single
Yesssss!
❤❤❤❤
As it should be,people make kinky hair look like u need to register in a school to retain length and makes it look difficult. Our hair is different it loves coiling around each other. On the street on RUclips unnecessary rules dos and don’t. Am just tired only u make more point for me on kinky hair aspect and few RUclipsrs other I just come across their video and swipe up with anger.
Finally found a queen whose hair texture and beliefs are like mine, glad to be here.. please share the DIY hair grease recipe. Love from Angola.
Is that by Essence wigs of NY. I have one and it looks like my hair too.
Exactly! You’re so right. We need to let our hair be itself.
Agreed!
Sis you’ve just encouraged me.
So happy to hear that!
I'm sorry, where did this insanity come from?? I grew up in the 50s/60s, EVERYONE had natural healthy hair of various lengths, textures and densities. Wigs and hair pieces were used, like hand bags, shoes and jewelry, as accessories. It pains me to hear young ladies say that they are insecure showing their hair to their significant other. It smacks of shame and implies " I'm ok with sex but not true intimacy." Look how beautiful that young lady is, I can't understand why she would feel less so without a wig. Very sad.
Its sad, ive been there definitely, i grew up in germany, predominantly white town, there was ONE single dark skinned boy in my school along side with my sister and me. I used to streighten my hair All the time, and than my mom applied that dreadful chemical that slowly ate away INCHES taking me from tailbone lenght to shoulder😢 In highchool i went natural and experienced with my hair, and i grew to love it, i started doing twists, and found products that i love! Ive been 7 years heat free, and back to tailbone lenght😊 Although i wear it in chunky twists 99% of the time. My boyfriend loves my natural hair, and even more on the rare days when i do a twist out😂 I want to get it silk pressed, but im scared to use heat again
❤
