My God! What you said about the edges! I was wondering why this part of my hair was becoming sparse, I put it small sections and added hair to it! The rest of my hair is thriving except for my edges! Now I know why! Thank you so much!
Girl, this protective style looks absolutely stunning on you. I love mixing textures, but that may be a part of why you had matted sections. Also not pineapple-ing at night. I hate bonnets. I don't think i own one. But i use neck gaiters. This at least keeps my hair off my neck at night with my braids in a cute mountain on the top of my head. most times it stays on.
Thanks so much! That's SUCH a good tip about the mixing textures observation, i may have brought that hell on myself loll I'll have to see if I can do the pineappling thing, in the past that's been a bit too uncomfortable for me as well but maybe i 'm just doing it wrong.
So, im allergic to black hair dye so i sat down one day and figured out what to do instead of putting the chemically treated hair in my mouth. And you know what... I clamp velcro roller panels to my hair. Yep! I cut off the Velcro part of the roller, lay it above the braiding section and slide the top of the boho hair into my fingers and press the bottom of the hair piece into the Velcro. I remembered the time when I bought Velcro rollers trying to be fancy and those things snagged on my hair in the most annoying way. So after a short brainstorming session, I remembered that those rollers know how to hold hair right in place. I almost threw them away.
Hi. New here. Your video popped up in my feed. I think the style came out gorgeous on you. Question: for the duration that you wore the braids did you use a brush or comb on the hair? In the video you only showed yourself washing the hair and applying product but not combing or brushing it. I’m thinking not using a brush/comb on top of not tying your hair up at night contributed to the tangling you experienced. Because the hair is human, I would think it best to treat it the same as you would your own natural hair which would help with the longevity of the style.
love the flip of the script in making diy boho braids ACTUALLY boho and low maintanence. it’s so silly to try and make boho braids look perfect neat and defined and high maintanence which sorta defeats the purpose of the style being overall❤
I liked the hairstyle it suited you.
Thank you!!😊
