    I watch Naturally High too and I loved how her hair cluumps but I appreciate how you demonstrated how to do it and how you managed this style. I'm going to try it even though I have reservations. My hair is medium dense but I have very fine strands. I might need to manage the care differently but that style is so beautiful, especially on you. Truly appreciate your content. ❤

    Love this video, I'm honoured and MY GOODNESS ARE YOUR STYLES STUNNING OR WHAT!?
    I've adapted my clump routine and would do this slightly differently. I wouldn't use such old twists because on takedown, I'm limiting the amount of leave-in/conditioner I'm using, which means my strands are too vulnerable, especially after being worn for 2 weeks and washed. Instead, I'd work with much fresher twists and incorporate regular maintenance to minimise knotting and keep the clumps in the sections.
    I was so very pleasantly surprised to see this! Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

      Omg I’m so flattered that you took the time to watch and comment!🤗 the take down was definitely tedious so your new routine makes sense. Will you be sharing an updated video of your new process one day?

    I do something like that. My hair looks like it's in microlocs. It's a cross between wash n go and twist out. I have 4c hair but after washing. I lather it in leave in, twist cream and grease and put it in like 8 big sections. Somehow the combo of the twist cream and grease define my curls and they clump together naturally. When I take down the 8 twists I'm careful not to disturb the clumps and it comes out looking like sister locs. Idk how to explain it and I also wear it in a bob but I tuck under as opposed to over and I use two sections as opposed to 3

      Interesting I didn’t think of tucking it under as well! Thanks for sharing!

    I used to do this style a lot when my hair was shorter, it wasn't clumped hair,it was mini twists, I used to do bantu knot out and I'd get my hair stretched and with beautiful curls, I really enjoyed this styles I'd go 2 months without even realizing it🎉

    Hi,
    do you recycle your parts ? So you do not have to recreate new parts.
    I love your technique ❇️❇️❇️

    • @preciousfro
      @preciousfro  5 месяцев назад +4

      Hey! Yes and No. There are some that I'll reuse, but when i always create new parts around my entire perimeter from my edges to my nape because i feel that those are the areas that most prone to potential hair loss due to repeat or excessive tension. So I try to be extra careful in those areas. Hope that makes sense!

    This looks good on you but I would never do this to my hair. As it is, my hair hates being contorted into twists. This will cause a lot of unnecessary tangling that will result in a loss of valuable inches.

    Really interesting, and so beautiful! Us natural haired woman are so original. But how do you detangle? I notice that I usually have this hairstyle when I keep why mini braids for weeks, but I've never considered styling it, I'd always wash it and make a new hairstyle.

    • @preciousfro
      @preciousfro  5 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you! I don't detangle the style while I have it in but when it's time to take it out I simply take my time to slowly pull apart each clump using water and oil.

    Beautiful! I rarely separate my twistouts/braidouts, and if I do, I just do it a little bit. I like having the length that comes with keeping the clumps. 😊

    After you've worn the clumps, about how many twists do you do in order to wash it again to re-wear the style?

    • @preciousfro
      @preciousfro  5 месяцев назад +1

      Tbh I didn’t count how many twists I put on after the clumps but I know it was less than the original 75 that I had installed.

    Lol…is this not a regular ole twist out 🤷🏾‍♀️
    And yes..before this was a “thing” or trend….i started my locs like this.
    Made twists and un-did them and left them alone.
    Nothing really is new under the sun lol

    • @samanthamcintosh3829
      @samanthamcintosh3829 5 месяцев назад +3

      Technically yes, but usually people end up separating the clumps with a standard twist out. The other difference is the tip of washing the hair while still in twist to cause compaction/shrinkage of the clumps when usually people are going more for elongation/volume with a standard twist outs. I think those are the main differences in technique 🙂

    • @preciousfro
      @preciousfro  5 месяцев назад +1

      When I'm doing a twist out, I do not leave my hair in clumps. I separate the hair for maximum fullness. So for me, this is a completely dif. style. Thanks for watching!

      @sparker7768 5 месяцев назад

      @@preciousfroYes, and it's something I did with my daughters unintentionally, because I didn't have time to wash their hair after taking down the style; you gave it a different twist 😮 😅

      @@samanthamcintosh3829I've never heard of unraveling the twists to start the locs; I imagine they turned out nicely.
