Hi! Would you please help me with the high poly cutscene models? I would like to make isometric sprites of the animations. I imported the models but the textures are missing, also dont know how to run the animations. I select them but they wont run. I just installed 3DS Max so basically I dont know nothing about it...:S Maybe a short shared screen session sometime?

Changed the location of my script, using github, you can find other scripts too, not done any cleanup (yet)

Ok, i added manually tab in 3ds max, but after i press import: --Type error: CreateDialog requires RolloutClass, got: undefined

@@TaylorMouse I believe the problem is that all the "FileIn" lines call for ms files instead of mse. I changed the ones I could but some seem to be inside other mse files and I can't edit those. Hopefully it will be an easy edit for you. Thank you!

Can I convert those models to MAYA?
Euh, sure, but the script is not for maya, so you need to import it first to max, than export to FBX and import it in Maya

@@johnspoop272 Well, you probably going to have to apply them manually, but the uv texture coordinates should be in place so it must work
Seems like the support for the current version ( extracting the models etc ) isn't up to date ...
If I open the .mzp file (version 1.7) in 2017 3ds max this happens: Runtime error: fileIn: can't open file - "OverwatchImportTools_importmodel_dialog.ms"
same problem here with max 2014. It seems that the main script calls for .ms files while it should call for .mse files (encrypted). I unzipped the .mzp and edited all the files I could to change the FileIn extensions to .mse but there is still an error for "OverwatchImportTools_importmodel.ms" which I guess is called from "OverwatchImportTools_importanimation_dialog.mse" and since this last file is encrypted I have no way of editing it..... @Taylor Mouse is there any chance you could look into this? Thanks a ton!

I have the exact same problem. Also, the Blender import script doesn't work which is pretty frustrating.

This video is heavily outdated, you can't even get the Art Tools anymore, and 3ds Max 2011 is so obsolete that finding it without getting a virus is extremely unlikely.

It is found on the Note Track, you can use Blizzard's or my animation property selector,

No I don't, although, the script should work for any Max version when you remove the StarCraft 2 features from the script I haven't come around that to do that I have been working on it again to get some more correct UV mapping for the new models, but not really a nice result ...

Hi, Taylor! I'm going through all the map objects, screenshotting and cataloguing them with their folder names so that I can put it online to help people trying to find specific objects. A batch import function would be great if it was an easy implement. Thanks!
UPDATE: The current DataTool does NOT export the animations correctly, this issue has been addressed to the owner of the DataTool and there will be a fix for it soon. The ONLY way to get the correct animations exported (raw format) is via the CASC VIEWER. This allows the export of any animation file (.006 ). Only problem is to get the correct one. So how I do this is: Export all the .006 animation files via thte Casc Viewer, then use the datatool to export a hero, than map the 006 files and overwrite them with the files exported by the datatool. ... Update soon I hope, cuz this is a PAIN! T.

Still not works with qucik datatool? It exports .owmdl format, looks like not works with script.
Version 1.20 + has different animation configuration files, so I'm waiting until they released Birgitte to the live environment to fix this, cuz they probably changed there something to, again. Keep you posted!

Hey Talor I'm trying to get this going, I got all the model assets from wsg exported using model exporter but I still need the terrain. I just tried installing WoW for the first time in a long time and I don't seem to have the WoW/world/maps directory any more? I need the terrain (ADT/WMO/M2) files for wsg to complete this project. All I want to do is make a 3D model of the map and upload it to sketchfab.com so it can be viewed in 3D/VR.

Any animation. When I try to load an animation in a blender - the animation loads, but the model breaks and warps. It's strange why then do not load in 3DsMax?

Its in Draenor, not sure if the adt files are named specifically to their area or if it is just draenor_xx_xx.adt you probably need to import them all ( whatch out that is about 6000 files!! )

Does Overtool still work? I'm struggling to get it to even list properly. The "Common Usage" section is not detailed enough, and I can't find a video tutorial on how to actually extract the skins using it.

I want to make .00C 'file' for models , but I can have only .00C 'folders' . How Can I get .00C files ?
? I don't understand what you want, there is no way in creating a workable .00C file, and there is not purpose in doing so. To get the files, extract it using OverTool.Exe

It looks like the overtool is not the one to use anymore, sorry for the late reply, you should try to use the datatool.exe
Same thing happens with DataTool.exe
I use it constantly, but I update it constantly too, so make sure that you redownload the tool after every overwatch release. here is an example on how I use it: DataTool.exe "C:\Games\overwatch" extract-maps "F:\Blizzard\Overwatch\Extracted\v1.19" "Junkenstein's Revenge" This will extract all objects ( and converts them to owmdl and tif ) for Junkenstein's revenge
