This Should Keep The LS Swapped Street Truck Cool
I have not seen this way befor. Looks like it would work well.
Everyone you need to subscribe this is my uncle is the best you guys will love this videos he makes the coolest videos plus if you like trucks you will love this so guys subscribe love you Uncle Mitchell
So i get what determines the width of the chassis jig, but how do you know what length to make it?
I used the wheel base of the truck.
I enjoy the little things that people will do to give themselves any advantage.
Hi I love you
Can i get the file(s) for the front suspension?
That was a "smooth" subscriber ask! I like it.
I need me one of those!
What software is that?
I use SolidWorks
I knew a guy who used the crush sleeve to initially set the pinion preload. Then he took it out and machined one to it's measurements.
Why a triangulated 3-link over a triangulated 4-link?
I wanted to try something different than everybody else was using.
@@designbuilddrive ok, I thought maybe there were performance reasons.
I had I throey on roll centers with this setup, Im still doing some testing but it looks like there may be a benefit.
I'm glad you took the hood off, just because we get to see the front suspension working.
It looks like you sped up the footage. I feel like I'm watching an old Benny Hill skit.
I did speed it up 5% for your viewing pkesure. it just looks so slow for how fast the track is.
THAT IS SICK!
I have a core L33 aluminum 5.3 that I got for free. It was running when pulled but I do know it ran low on oil at some point. I've taken the valve covers and vally cover off but have not went any farther. It is really clean on the inside and I did not see any damage. I plan on tearing it apart soon. If im lucky I'll just throw some bearings, rings and gaskets in it.
One of the first things I replaced when I built my LS lol
Love your content, you deserve more subs!
Do what they gatta do.
Wood in there! Maybe I could use it for a new project.
Holy carnage in there
Wow thats a crazy find!
hey guy Im in SASKATOON, contemplating buying a running driving C20, 1968 camper special BIGGEST PROBLEM is it has 4.56 reargears and will barely do a 100km/h cuz its screaming at about 4000rpm SO far amigos the biggest wrecker nearby has nothing that will bolt in Got any ideas what will fit and where i can get one with 3.08-3.73 ish gears?
3.73 posi is probly the ideal but i will take anything in a streetable range mentioned
Matilda is a great name!
"All I have to do is...." (For most of us that's months of work!) LOL Love the build sir!
Guessing the chassis cost to be.....~$4,500 in materials (not including the Quick Performance differential)
Every "car guy" should be subscribed to this channel! Super cool!
Hell yes on showing how you do the design work! That'd be super cool!
Love the giant fish plates! Very cool.
Great video! I "HAVE TO" binge watch this build series now!
So freakin cool! Thanks for the models, making things easy to understand and not being a jerk. Super excited to see what you do!
The wilwood master cylinder paired with their proportioning valve with the adjustable rear brake bias valve works very well in my experience.
So on the wishbone link on the rear, forgive me I’m a novice here, but I’ve heard of several different ways of hooking this up. 1. Is the way you have it. 2. Just like how you have it but backwards. 3. Just how you have it but on the bottom side. I’ve heard that when it’s on the bottom side, it induces under steer, but that is easily overcome with the right rear anti roll bar, and it becomes very balanced. It has a lower toll center if I remember correctly. Is there a reason why you chose to install it the way you did?
Yes, there was some theory behind it too. I wanted a higher roll center in the rear to couter act the lower roll center in the front and keep both tires planted in the rear. Thats the basics of it and its working as intended so far.
@@designbuilddrive hell yea, thank you for the reply. I’m always eager to learn.
This in Tinley mcclellan uncle Michael when can I comemover to your homes sorry I do not have your number and mom is not home right now just call my mom to te) me love you❤
That's a great truck you've built

So cool to see you transition from building to driving Matilda!
Good to see it's been holding up! Any major problems so far?
not one!
Looks like you got that thing kinda figured out! Can't wait to see it once it's dialed
G'day mate. Loving the build. 3 1/2 years ago I got hit in the head at work and got a brain injury and have been housebound. I live in constant pain and I'm always trying to find something to distract me from that because anything I do makes it worse even watching videos. So the content has to be really interesting to our way the pain it causes. You are one of the few things that is interesting enough for me to watch. So I just wanted to say thank you for making it available to watch so I have at least something to do with my time.
Im sorry to hear that. Glad I could give you something to look forward to. I hope thing get better for you.
@@designbuilddrive looking like it's a forever thing 😔. Here is my 2008 Holden Commodore. She just sits in the garage these days. 😭 ruclips.net/video/HVbhsseO9lY/видео.htmlsi=smbr-VVl2NGrDKn7
Nice content! Are you interested in sponosorship collab with Suparee? It's about lighting stuff for different vehicles.
Where is your engine stand build going to be posted?
Funny, you ask. That was put on hold, but it will be back very soon and it should be everywhere.
That's awesome, I've really enjoyed watching your progress on your truck. I've never been an auto cross fan but after watching you I can definitely see myself an itch for it.
What radiator mounts did you use?
I made them
@@designbuilddrive you wouldn’t happen to have a video on here of how you did your charging system. Do you I recently did an LS swap myself and I’m having difficulties trying to get my system to stay charged.
Yeah buddy! Im pumped for ya man! Ive been following ur build. You killed it out ther and you only had front brakes! Haha cant wait to see what happens at the next event! After a few upgrades I'm sure its going to be killer!
Great job brother truck looks and works great!!!
What a blast to watch! Thank you for the time and effort that you are putting into these videos. The truck seems amazing!
On my 4th DUI now, thinking of you when I drink
Time to get ahold of cletus and get a TBM sponsorship!
Happy to see you and Matilda made it out and back for a fun weekend! Looking forward to what's next!
