    Maybe you would have some insight on this. 1986 bronco, 351w, reman C6, 3.50 ratio 31" tires. Spinning 3000rpms @ 50mph in drive. Transmission shifts from 1,2 into drive and doesnt feel like its slipping, no flare. But that rpm and at that speed suggest trans problems to me. Have you ever seen a torque converter fail or result in overly high rpm at cruising speeds in a C6? Yet not appear to have a slip feeling when accelarting up to speed? This one has me stumped.

    installing this same servo. seemed way to tight. very difficult to push in or pull out. chocked servo stem into a 1/2 drill and spun it and used a 5/32 round file to file out bottom part of groove then spun it and polished it with 000 steel wool. it will now fit nice and pushes in with appropriate amount of pressure. using light spring piston will return when pushed all the way in trans case.

    I know this video doesn’t pertain to an fmx but i had an fmx that did this 2-3 shift issues that you explain stock valve body with shift kit installed i thought it did this because i pit it in wrong who knows that transmission lost all foward movement so i put in another fmx (no shift kit) i had laying around issue solved car is 1979 thunderbird 460 swapped 😎

    It really sucks we can't hardly get good castings or forgings anymore. I'm in a custom industrial caster building company in Michigan and we struggle..we have to source forgings from as far away as Detroit which is almost 100 miles from my town of Jackson. We even witnessed kelsey/Hayes close up and leave..Chinese bearings suck as does their steel..the metallurgy is total trash. We have seen Timken bearing knock offs that are clearly NOT the real deal..scam artists ruin reputations. It's terrible...I've bought alot of stuff from Broader and love everything I've received. I wish I could work for you guys..

    Just started watching your videos. I build and race my own C4's along with building a couple for racing friends. My son's Mustang developed the "flair" after I installed a valve body I acquired out of a fresh build from a company starting with P! After watching this I'm going to install a stock valve body and see if it goes away. Never stop leaning! Great videos!

    Thank you for this video it helped me solve my shifting issue with my 72 fmx. After I fixed the shifter leak it wouldn't shift out of 1st. So I would go to D1 then walk it to D and it would shift normal. So after watching your video I realize the kick down is probably moving when shifting from P to D. And low and behold it was. So I temporarily wired it so it can't move. Now I can take it from P to D and it shifts perfectly. Thank you sir! I still have to break it back down at some point cuz I need my kick down 😂

      @@brianguzman2994 Not a dumb question. We are all here to learn. The kickdown rod is for your passing gear. It is also known as the TV(trottle valve) rod. It connects to the valve body and allows the tranny to downshift at full throttle .

    Great video....can't begin to tell you the number of badly installed BM Shifters ( which I hate) that create more problems cause of the reasons you gave.....so many " self inflicted" problems cause they want a cool race shifter!!

      Your right about that. Cable shifters can be a nightmare and they are not as easy to adjust as one may think.

    R&D is critical to building business..I work in a make ready industrial caster shop as a fabricator. Up here in Michigan we totally get it. Shits scary brother. Everyone is still having problems sourcing components big time especially bearings. We gotta damn near go out of state for forgings and stuff..things suck

    JAY IS RIGHT , The Factory Green spring is the way to Go Im using the Green spring with Superior R code Servo and E lever , thats what I'm running in an Autoshift C6. Whatever shift kit that's in there is what I'd call a FIRM Shift. The Superior Heavy spring was causing me problems. Ive tried the Sonnax R Code servo with Heavy spring and it also caused the same problem. The Factory/OEM Green spring fixed my issue. Read my other comment on this video.

    You built a 10-1/2 for my 533 BBF/C6 that will be on nitrous and you nailed the stall we discussed (5200) based on the data logs. I ran it this year launching at 4200 to flash the converter to get a better 60 ft. The plan is to add nitrous this winter, so next year I'll fully test it.

    A friend of mine and his son ran a local full service machine shop and spent 5 years designing, prototyping, testing and building a specialty portable on machine keyway broach. They hired a patent attorney and registered their product and spent $25 K to protect their property. After they were granted a US Patent, a BIG expensive Tool Corporation that begins with an S came along and wanted to buy their tool and all the rights to produce it. No financial arrangement was ever agreed to after a year of negotiations between them. So the big S Corp added one screw and a spring that had absolutely NO functionality, and copied Bert's patent 100% otherwise, and went into production and sold them. Three years and over $300 K in legal costs, and now there's no more machine shop, and the big S Corp is still held unaccountable, and free to sell stolen property.
