So, you can run the old style detented valve in the new style valve body, but only if you have the rooster comb lever in case and the spring roller arm installed?
You don't want both detents. If your using the valve body with the detent in a new case that also has the detent just remove the spring and roller from the case. Assuming I'm understanding your question properly.
Hope you have time to shoot me an answer. Early C6, screw in modulater. When the car sits the case fills up with fluid and leaks in the bell housing, maybe 5 or 6 quarts runs out over time. No leaks when motor is running or if i start the motor every couple days. I have heard about a 1/2" hole in the bellhousing about 7 o'cllock position that should be plugged but sometimes is not ? Gonna have to pull the unit but don't wanna have to do it twice? Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.
Just pull the trans, you will have to anyways it sounds like and fill it with fluid and see where it's coming from. The servo lever shaft is a good possibility.
The 1966 C6 valve body is different from the 67 and up valve bodies. The 1966 C6 valve body shifted like the 65 -66 C4 did. 2-3 or 1-2-3 shift. Ford was always changing things around.
I had an aod built a few years ago, it lost direct if i remember correctly, guy fixed, lost it again. He then wouldn't fix anymore. Is there something that could pop out of place?
Great info that C6 owners should know about before beginning modifications.
Im glad it helped.
Indeed. I’m learning all this the hard and expensive way, as I didn’t properly ID my case beforehand.
GREAT help as MANY are highly confused! 👍🏽👍🏽 Good job
I'm glad it helped. Thanks for watching
I hear the CNC running. Another fine product being made in the USA by Broader Performance.
Yes sir. I appreciate the comment.
Whenever you get time would love to see/hear more about your Cobra.
That is on my list. Stay tuned.
Great Chanel. 🧐
Thank you. We appreciate the support.

Good tear down video. Do you have a video of it going back together? Plan on doing my c6 fe one.
I have not done that yet.
@BroaderPerformance awesome I'll be looking for that video. Thanks

I would have to see the trans. No way for me to know.
