Good thing I saw this, I know now I won't really last in Chemistry anymore. Four years was enough. Learned all these techniques in undergrad. Those 4 years were turbulent (The spark ran out). I needed so much help from people which is great but this kind of independence is needed when you do research 😅. I do not have that in me.

This video is the magic wand for all first year PhD students. All the tips are marvelous. Thank you, Jessica. It helps not to lose motivation and inspiration and keep believing in yourself no matter what. Cause my situation is similar to one you described. When you start doing your research and realize the huge volume of the litterature and papers that you have to read and analyze..., this makes you feel lost and overwhelmed. And it's really difficult not to compare yourself to the senior PhD students. But suddenly I came across your video and it became a breath of fresh air!!!♥
